But that list seems to be shrinking <x.x> people leaving or not reading the boards; some topics just being downright blagh. People picking fights. Just don't have the time or energy to deal with it >.<;

Chalk it up to the 'between issue doldrums'. The forums, as a whole, wax and wane with the mood of the populace as a whole.

My biggest gripe about the rest of the forums has been 3 things:
1) Troll Posts - there seem to be more and more trolls lately and its driving me nuts - always someone who says *something* to get everyone in an uproar - and then they sit back and watch the fireworks.
2) Anti-catgirl sentiment. I can understand being annoyed when you get one of the really slutty types - but I'd be annoyed at them regardless of their costume. Instead though people just toss all my cats into the same pile with these others and it gets maddening - I've never won a costume contest in 3 years despite getting regular compliments on my costumes. None of them are 'nakey' costumes (in fact most are quite modest) and they're all organized as best as I can manage - but when I get into a costume contest I've been actively told "you can't win, you're a catgirl." That drives me up the wall, and the forums just add fuel to that.
3) PVP is ruining the game sentiment. I understand not everyone likes PVP - that's fine with me (hell, I've quit playing in the PVP zones because its not worth the crap I put up with to do it); but the whole "PVP ruined CoH" comments - which come up almost every time someone wants to make a PVP suggestion (regardless of what it is, if you suggest "I'd like a few more drones at the hero/villain base..." Someone's going to come in and tell you you've ruined their game...) Etc...
I'm sick of being singled out over things I like because others don't; opinions are great - everyone has em; I do too... but I tend not to sling it at people unless they've already attacked me.

I had a kitty costume contest for the Legion of Catgirls a couple months back that was, well, without a doubt wonderfully successful, Albiet annoying short <;.;> lasted about 30 minutes when the goal was for it to be an hour long get together; but RL got busy for lots of people, myself included.
Still; it was fun. (I got to be judge <,< rawr)
But yeah, frustrating as all hell >.< You've all seen my costumes - maybe they're not 'win' worthy, and that'd be fine - except I've been specifically told I *can't* win <-.-> that's what bugged me.
I use catgirl as a racial choice, like human, elf, dwarf <x_x> why people must assume 'catgirl' means 'sexobject' I'll never understand. I want to break der faces >.<; (and Yumii would too... she's pretty violent if you tick her off >.>

Saddly, lately I've been spending more time reading the art board and doodling than actually playing the game >_>. made myself spend the last two days playing.
Ending up going 'Oh.. cool shot idea!' and spending 4 hours working on a piece that never went anywhere...
Ah well. heh.
But yes, I know the feeling, I used to hang out in the controller board (I have 5, I likes'em.) until it became the 'why <random>/<random>/<random> controller r overpowered, zmg!' board. I even tried to post in a few of those threads.
Then I realized I wasn't one of those people that could be mean for meanness sake, or do 40,000 word explinations that involved theortical mathmathics to prove my point.
Art is much safer.
And I am STill paranoid about getting flamed.. see my lasts few posts! I'm so terrified of trolls and flames I even get defensive here!
Well, Squirrel, you may have the right idea.... I like what goes on in here, I peek into Kheld and (ok, hold your ears) Stalker forums, though the Stalker ones get repetitive as well... I think I'm giving up completely on Suggestions and Ideas (the minimum-3-"PVPers are evil sociopaths!" threads per day have worn me down) and even Player Questions.
It's fun here, and over on the SG forums... Rkik did a nice job giving the HBSS someplace to hang around while Hexy works out the other site. Get my writing itch scratched when it shows.

/comfort Rox <~.~> There's imho, absolutely no chance of Granite getting nerfed. Its almost perfectly balanced - it makes you slower and hit with less OOMPH; traded off by amazing defenses... ie: it works.
Mayhaps someday in the distant future I shall retake the rest of the forums >.> but for now I is stayin put >.> at least unless I get a brilliant idea - which I will then suggest and never look at again because I don't want to see it burn.

I remember getting flamed so badly for an opinion around I2 I stopped reading the forums altogether. 'Twas a harsh place that I remember. It does seem to get better, worse, quiet and rapid at times. Also, I have no idea if there's any actual relation here but I noticed a darker turn when some SWG refugees cancelled that game and came here.
Dunno, maybe I'm imagining but, it's just something I noticed.

I remember trying to fight the regen nerf too <X_X> I didn't realize at the time that other sets weren't as powerful <X_x> for some insane reason I believed that they were all as good (I soloed almost excluslively back then).
I dunno what's causing it but its making me nuts. <x_X> But I got out into the 'real' world - took a short walk around the house and whatnot, got some fresh air (I seriously haven't done that in months, when I leave the house I'm almost always in the car or in a different building) - I feel a little better having gotten fresh air. I even got a little (very crappy) writing done <X.x>; I haven't written much for months either... so getting a page in, even if its a total throwaway, felt nice.
<X_X>m and then I get to mow my grandparent's lawn in an hour <-.-> joy... but they pay well - its just a huge lawn.
