I hit Protector for the contest their tonight with Comrade Hero. For a costume competition it was great to see how smoothly everyone organized themselves into a row before Gill and Lush turned up. I recognized a couple of oldtimers there like Badge, and people who have been immortalized in art like Missy K and Mistress Vine.
The costumes on display were very impressive and a few more than wierdly colourful. I didn't make it to the cut, but congrats to those who did!
And thanks for the peeps at MMOart.com for one fun event!
well, i didn't make the virtue semi-finals, so in the immortal words of Homer Simpson "Kids, you tried your best and you failed miserably. The lesson is: never try."

Mr. North Korea (two to the left of Mardun) was standing next to me, and I knew he was going to be picked. Judges kept pausing in front of him. (Note to self: Don't stand next to good costumes 
)

The contest over on Guardian was great and everyone was very well-behaved. It was very cool to meet both Lush and Gill. Thanks for the great contest you two (and all the other judges as well)! The Junkyard King is moving on to the Semi-finals so I hope I can represent for Guardian and win the gold!

Good snapshots. I didn't allow Davion to participate on Liberty server (wouldn't have won anyway, not with those who were in the line). I chose to watch from War Witch's balcony, instead. I _thought_ I had a /demorecord going of the event, but when I exited out, it was nowhere to be found, only the one I took an hour before the event was left. 
(Terrible time for a /demorecord typo).
Oh well. Congrats to all winners.
I made as a finalist on Triumph with Engineer but in my excitement I forgot to take any screenshots. I knew I was gonna be called when Gill complimented my costume but of course someone else got it in the end.

Whew 
that was so much fun! Everyone who came out, it was a blast! I was Evelyn Spider *bows* Server jumping was crazy. Virute had the largest turnout spawning 2 instances of Pocket D!
Server hopping was extremely fun and enjoyable. After a while you forget, since everything looks exactly the same, and have to ask someone to look at their global so you know where you are. All in all a fantastic turnout!
I got to meet so many folks from this section! It was like a who's who.
This was a ton of fun! Visited lots of servers and saw a bunch of art forum regulars. Even got to rub elbows with some of them (I promise it was just elbows though ) Unfortunately, I was having so much fun, I kept forgetting to take screenshots.
But I did get a couple! (sorry, graphics on low to save on lag)
Managed to make it into the semi-finals. Replete is to the left of me!
As soon as THIS guy got in line next to me, I knew I had no real chance of winning.
The last hold outs on the last server from the last costume contest dancing like crazy!
Even though I didn't end up winning, I still feel pretty. Really I do........

Actually, sometimes we were standing in front of people trying to pick up all the details. Often times we might be standing in front of one person discussing another.
I tried really hard not to linger around anyone, and if I was it was more than likely because I was typing a reply.
I didn't even make the Pinnacle semi-finals. All this time I thought my costume was awesome. I guess I'm just fashion stupid.

True true. I know I would've been a baad lingerer. I like really lookin at costumes, especially those I like... doesn't help I've spend literal hours in the character creator trying to get a look right. Bah!
[edit: The "bah" is because generally I want to get in game in play, but I can't ignore the asthetics/name aspect of the character. A curse I say! Especially when I really like costumes other people come up with.]

That was fun, but all the finalists were villains for some odd reason on the Freedom Server.

I got to be Pinnacle's finalist, so yay! Big thanks to Gill & crew for taking the time & effort to host this awesome contest! I have to say, there were a lot of really good costumes just on the server that I was on. Must've been real tough for the judges, having to do it on every server.

You recognized Badge? What's wrong with you? Don'tcha know Badge is a myth created by Empaths to scare people?
It was definitely an odd feeling going up against many of the people I play and chat with on a regular basis and then making it to the quarter-final cut.
Seriously though, it was a lot of fun and many thanks to Gill and Lush for organizing something this crazy, er, I mean fun.

Thanks to Gill and Lush for some great fun that was had. I've never seen so many awesome looking costumes. I was on about six servers and really enjoyed helping judge the contest Miss Vanguard won!

Just got back from the costume contest put on my MMOart.com. It was a great event! The best I have been to!
It was so cool to see all the people who I meet on these forums, and have great conversations. I felt like I was on the "red carpet" A high point was when Gill recognized me and nicely said hi (with a bow!). ALso the many others that said hi (sorry if I forget anyone): Heavens_Agent, Ms Vine, Mr Majesty, Celesia, Soul Train, the nice words from..the "whale guy" (forget your name?), and everyone else I missed!!!
