Hey there, I've had a character for two years and I can't get this new costume to work out. He's a DM/Regen who got possessed by a nictus, but through science, has managed to control the nictus to a certian extent. I've had his costumes go through various stages of entropy, representing the nictus getting more control over him. His final costume has to look like he's been fighting this thing internally for a long time, and his clothes have to show that he no longer cares about appearance anymore (you know...he's got more important things to do, like try to get this alien to stop possessing him). I can only really get him to either look homeless or totally evil, so I'm coming to you!

Help me IantheM1!

Hmm. Ya know, I usually have NO trouble with costumes... But... I have one that is killin' me.

I rolled a fire/kinetics controller (Yeah yeah, FoTM, I know, but it's fun!) and I got the greatest name for him (I was surprised it wasn't already taken). But I can't come up with a costume that works. At all. In fact, the costume I ended up using for him was SO bad, that I looked at it and thought "Ugh, that's like what a 12 year old D&D geek would make for a convention or something." Which is why I set his bio to "This is what happens when you let your children play too much D&D. Sad, isn't it?"

Anyway... I'd like to see what you can come up with.

His name is the Scarlet Sorceror.

He's a powerful wizard who has been struck with an enchantment trapping him in the body of a little boy. What I want from the costume is for it to look very fantasy wizardish. Merlin, Gandalf, you get the idea. I'll be doing the Katie Hannon TF with him at some point for the nifty wizard hat... so if you want to do one with that in mind it would certainly work.

I only have one stipulation... He has to use young face 5... And I use this slider setup on most of my characters: http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y23...my/sliders.png

I really want him to look wizardy. Honestly I'd use the toga for him if I had access to it but I don't.

I just can't make it look the way I want. I'm thinking of falling back to a Dr. Strange or Dr. Fate kind of look, but I can't seem to get that to work either so...

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Lvl 27 natural Thug/Poison Mastermind

He was falsely accused of a Robbery where he thought he was the sole survivor of a Robbery. He has been on the run trying to find his Girlfriend while Performing "special" jobs for various Organized Crime Leaders.

hi Ian,
I love your costume designs, could you give a try to my next costume for a Dark Robots Mastermind, his name is Dark Vizion, he is a robot that was made too smart and he created its own personality, he countinually makes upgrades of himself and with the money and equipment he takes from the organics he makes henchmen to help him in his quest to be totally sentient. He studied dark magic until he was able to cast spells from the spirit world, and he keeps learning harder spells to test his ability to learn and adapt.

This and that are Luminums current costume, think you could improve on it?

I would also appreciate it if you could make a new costume from scratch: Luminum is an Elite Paragon Protector that ran away from the training facility before he was mind wiped into serving Crey, so do you think you could try and make a costume that looks like an Elite Paragon Protector?

Edit:Forgot to mention, he's an energy/energy blaster with the Force mastery epic and flight.

There's one of many possible Paragon Protector approximations.

As for the other costume, I really wouldn't change anything other than tweaking the colors/color balance and playing with the patterns.

Basically...I'm sorta working on a new char, and need some help deciding on an outfit.
He's an emp/Psy Def. Plan on him having the power ot fly.
He's basically posessed by a dark demon, although enough of his humanity sunk in that he's a hero. Was sorta a dark skinned gothic...and I want him to have something demonic, but I can't decide what...As for everything else, I trust your expertise.

Interesting thread, and similar to an idea I have and made - something similar but for making backgrounds out of powersets and origins. The character description challenge in other words.

Anyhow.

I'm kinda curious what would be your take on the look of a D.I.S.C.O.R.D. Acolyte.

Acolytes are the foot troops of D.I.S.C.O.R.D. Using advanced weaponns, they bear the brunt of the fighting. Even though yet to prove themselves, they are sometimes augmented with cybernetics or experiments.

Oh and forgive the commentary.

Now, since my taste in costume sucks, or at least is radically different than that of other players of this game, could you please advise me in a way to try and make my costume different and better, so players won't mistaken me for some discoloured Viewtiful Joe Clone!?
