IanTheM1's Costume Shoppe
like i said before, give ian too much to do and it becomes work, and work isn't fun, now is it ian?
i just hope ian takes a peek at the picture of the person i would like to be created....
hope it doesnt become so much work that ian ends up deciding that it isnt worth it.... =\

In this weekend's case, there was a combination of me wanting to gage the response to the reopening, the Wii launch, and me getting sick in the process.

Hi!
I tried this with Green Regis and I'd like to see what you can come up with:
Aleph Null
Mind/Energy Dominator, Science Origin
She's a Portal Corp researcher that was trapped in a portal event horizon/void dimension for a subjectively infinite time. Beyond mad and back to something like sanity.
More Background: I figure she's probably been in hospital for a while after her accident, most likely in a coma. After waking up she would have landed in the Zig pretty quickly as she explored her powers in a fairly sociopathic way.
Costume:
I've got a near complete mental block with this character. I prefer a relatively normally proportioned human female and I don't mind that head/hat/mask combination but I'm fairly unhappy with the rest. That could partly be the colour scheme and partly because I can't come up with a rationale to explain spikes and skulls with this character.
I had her shelved until I8 was live and I was going to play with the new costume options.

I like that one already, the only thing I would possibly change is the orange on the costume parts to a red colour instead.

Thanks.
It's all on the table. I actually tried red where the orange is, but that sort of blended with her hair. Certainly an option though, particularly if I adjust her hair to something else.
I'm also toying with changing the pattern to Cellular rather than Circles and generally lightening it up, going to grey-blues, grey and white.
"You!? Never! Gaston, you gotta pull yourself together!"
as always, im-a-waitin
maybe ian's going to give it to us all as one big holiday present
sorry if i sound rude, just thought id say it

What shall claim a Sky Kings' Ransom?
PPD & Resistance Epic Archetypes
Sorry for all the delays, guys. I'm kinda up to my neck in other matters for the time being, but barring anything major, I'll try to take a crack at some or all of the entries after next Wednesday.

(sorry, just wanted to announce it =P)
Hello! I'm making a magic origin Ill/Sonic and need a costume for him. He's a sort of Superhero stage magician, I'm going to get a cape, maybe an aura. I'm looking for something old timey. More Houdini than Angel if you get my drift, and a small Golden age eyes only mask if you can get it to work.
and now its a saturday =P
My Qubit needs his fourth costume. Unfortunately, I'm fresh out of ideas. To refresh your memory...
-----
Qubit (Tech Robotics/Dark Miasma Mastermind)
The Quantum Bit Intelligence Technology -- QuBIT -- was the world's first fully functional quantum computer. However, the foolish inclusion of A.I. into the machine's design soon gave rise to sentience. After constructing a body for itself, the nascent entity laid waste to its creator and set out on its inexorable mission -- to eradicate all biological life, and use the resources of Earth to further its quest for knowledge. For now, Qubit serves under Lord Recluse, ruler of the Rogue Isles, but once the mad computer collects enough knowledge, it plans to truncate Recluse and usurp his resources.
Always accompanied by its robotic minions, Qubit is constantly improving itself. Already, it has learned to tap into the dark energy of the universe and started using it for its own nefarious deeds.
-----
I've already gone for the circuitry look, as well as the monstrous robot hands and feet. As a robot, it's highly efficient, so it would tend towards a bit more of a stream-lined appearance in general (although its second costume breaks this rule so much it's almost embarrassing).
Pimp my Qubit!

Hey, what's up.
Really awesome thread, and you're doing work that I think is really valuable and essential to many of us.
Sometime about two months ago, I posted this on Virtue looking for help, with a handful of responses. They were good, but they mostly all just agreed with ideas that I already had at the time, and I'm looking to be surprised. Because of the character's pulp-ish mystery-man feel, I grabbed a black trenchcoat for him as soon as the Vet Rewards went live, so costume #3 is just like costume #1 with the trenchcoat in place of the tuxedo jacket, and I'm now looking to fill costume slot #4 with something unique and intriguing. If it will help, let me know and I'll get a nice, dramatic shot of the trenchcoat costume.
Anyway, the original post:

Costume #1
and here in costume 2, his sort of desert-expedition-pyramid-delving outfit --
Costume #2
Without going into TOO much detail, he's a magic ENG/ENG blaster. I like to think of him as Paragon's hardboiled, mystical gumshoe, or the kind of protagonist you'd see if Lovecraft had written comic books, moving through the seamy underbelly of New York City, taking apart cabals of cultists, hunting down alien-spawn monstrosities, and staving off the coming of great and terrible things like the Outer Gods and the Great Old Ones.
Yes, he's conflicted, and he's got a sort of fractured consciousness thing going on, but what makes him the most fun for me to play is his unbreakable will and determination. A spellcaster who isn't afraid to get his hands dirty busting some heads (or other relevant body part) to track down the stolen stuff, get the information, etc.
He's old. I don't know how old, though he looks to me around 60, and his movement and abilities don't seem hampered or restricted by his age. His behavior is occasionally eccentric, more often closer to weird and/or crazy, and sometimes just plain creepy -- if you can picture it, imagine staring out your apartment window and catching him standing on the corner across the street, motionless, staring up at you Michael Myers style. Other quirks include blurting out words and phrases that don't sound like any human language, which happen more frequently when he spots Lusca surfacing in IP. He's been spotted meditating in her presence, and he's been known to hover just out of tentacle's reach and shout challenges at her in those weird languages.
[EDIT: I've recently found him going into rage from time to time, being overtaken by some sort of alien, inhuman urge to rend and flay. Example -- last night doing a Baby New Year mission, he leapt into melee with Snaptooth, beating him into the ground, then wrenching and twisting limbs out of their sockets like that poor Red Cap goblin was a Thanksgiving turkey. Ultimately, the head came off, and he retrieved and pocketed something that he pulled from inside -- pituitary gland? -- and tossed the noggin on the ground. The mask seems to have a habit of soaking up blood, too, leaving him spotless.]
Okay, it's obvious that I like talking about this guy, but I hope that's enough to give your muse something with which to inspire you.
Thanks for your help!

Hi Ian,
I am needing your help. I am trying to make a minotaur alike brute. Has to be huge size with hooves and horns. I have tried with and without helmet but havent come close to anything looking good.
He is going to be Super strenght primary and secondary yet to figure out.
Thanks in advance for the help
Hopefull y you're not too flooded with requests yet, as I now submit for your approval:
Name: Gun Powder
Power sets: AR/Dev/Munitions
Image
Theme-ish: Gun Powder has roots in the pulp style of heros along the lines of Indiana Jones, The Maltese Falcon, and/or that one B&W movie with a boat full of people travelling down the river in a jungle (thought it was Priscilla: Queen of the Nile)
Server:Champion
Background: Shannon Page never really got along with her father. the alcohol always lead to one arguement after the next, usually the same one. However, she did share his affinity for firearms. He had been a leadding independent weapons designer before the alchoholism, but once the downward spiral began, he soon lost it all. Having enough of this, Shannon set out on her own. Upon comming to Paragon City, she ran into an old family friend who offered her a job in Crey's R&D division. Using the skills her had taught her, she accelled in her team. However, an accident involving a sky raider advance injured or killed most of her team. Not happy with this, Crey disbanded the division while an investigation was carried out. Feeling confused and bewildered about the incident, Shannon adopted the name "Gun Powder" and developed her own weapon. Now this gun bunny fights in hopes of clearring her conscious and at least making a dent in the cities problems. Currently an active member of the watchguard.
Other: Has to be all human/natural, and try to stick to a pulp-ish style, maybe with a few modern twists. It doesn't matter if its more of a formal wear, or adventuring garb, I just have a slot to fill and I've long since run out of ideas!
Let me know if you have any questions/concerns/quips/insults.
