"daddy's brat"
I love it!
Sorry for the delay again, folks. I've been feeling under the weather for the majority of the weekend.

I like this costume and his second one as well but still unsure about the others.

Hi Ian, I wonder if you'll find this one challenging, I sure did. He's a renegade Tsoo, level 36 Gravity/Thorny Dominator. I have no idea how to make second and third costumes for him.
Thorn Moon
Ian, I would love to get a costume idea for Enforcer Gnome whenever you have some freetime. I would like it to be somewhat garden-gnomish, if possible. His bio isnt much, just telling the story of how he came to Earth. He's a Tecnology blaster, AR/Energy.
If you get a chance, I need an idea for my 3rd slot. I'm lookin for a golden age type thing. Something like a costume in the beginning of the career. The only thing is that he has to have that skull belt, it's the source of his powers.
Original costume slot
My second costume is in my sig.
...Some of these costumes are absolutely fabulous, Ian. Every time I think I've seen everything the costume creator can do... Someone like you shows up and makes me jealous.
I would love to see your take, should you have time, on the following (I've designed costumes for them, but most of them don't... 'fit' the way I'd like them to.)
An Ascending godling of the Mu line (red electricity), a mix in temperament of permanently angry and really naive. (as her degree of power depends on how much she forgets who she is, and how much she takes up the mantle of her grandmother, Hequat). (Origin: Magic) (AT: brute elec/elec) (current costume is avatar)
(problems i've had while rendering this character: looks silly, looks too randomly vicious, looks too happy, doesn't look divine in any way)
And a character who is 'natural' in all respects, grew up in Primeva (an ancient forest in the rogue isles), and resents the CoT's intrusions, speaks literally to the various elements (especially wind, fire, and earth) and came to Paragon only to be confused by the hustle of the city. Her origin is Natural. (Fire/Storm Controller)
Neither are silver/golden age; their powers are more circumstantial (one by blood and posession, the other by what 'friends' she could make while growing up).
Thanks!
This shoppe still 'open for business?'
Hey Ian, ive been looking over your costumes, and i'm very impressed with your work.
i was wondering if you could take a look at one of my favourite tankers, Magnus Liberty. Hes a Invuln/SS/Flight, and will be reaching lvl 40 soon, wich means a new costume slot. i already have 4 thanks to the halloween event
ill post links to his first 4
costume 1: http://i144.photobucket.com/albums/r...us/magnus1.jpg
costume 2: http://i144.photobucket.com/albums/r...us/magnus2.jpg
costume 3: http://i144.photobucket.com/albums/r...us/magnus3.jpg
costume 4: http://i144.photobucket.com/albums/r...us/magnus4.jpg
on a side note, costume 3 is his sorta....disguise or something, and 1, 2, and 4, use the masks with hair, and its fury im pretty sure, i thought id tell ya because his eye aura makes it somewhat difficult to see.
if you could, id just like an idea or 2 for his final costume.
please and thankyou
Ooh, this is an awesome thread!
Hero name: Mako Avalar
AT: Magic
Age: 14
Travel Powers: Flight (wings when they come)
Color Scheme: If it's not too much, could you make the main colors White/Red?
Story: Comes from a long line of sorcerer/sorceresses, said to be born of a magical comet, which color bears an odd resemblance to hero "empathy" colors. (original toon was emp)
Was almost thrown into ocean and drowned as a yet unamed child, but was saved by a telepatchic Mako Shark, who told his parents of his fate as a hero. Once he came to paragon city, he made quick enemies with captain Mako.
Please and thanks!
can you see how close you can get to this one? (fire/kin not sure of the name yet =] )
http://s87.photobucket.com/albums/k138/p...mgAnch=imgAnch2

But really, u've done fabulous so far Ian
We shouldnt give Ian so much to do or it will become work, and that wouldnt be too fun now would it, Ian?
and checking back...
I'm running outta ideas for my Ice/Ice tanker

Interesting thread, and similar to an idea I have and made - something similar but for making backgrounds out of powersets and origins. The character description challenge in other words.
Anyhow.
I'm kinda curious what would be your take on the look of a D.I.S.C.O.R.D. Acolyte.
Acolytes are the foot troops of D.I.S.C.O.R.D. Using advanced weaponns, they bear the brunt of the fighting. Even though yet to prove themselves, they are sometimes augmented with cybernetics or experiments.
Oh and forgive the commentary.

Heh, just had to pop in and say you costume is awesome, i like the shading effect on the photo, makes it look spooky...

Heh. Weird. I thought I had posted this already, but:
The Costume Shoppe is indefinitely closed. Sorry folks. It might re-open soon, however, since THATCHRUEF is stuck in limbo for the time being due to a strange hosting issue and since I don't have a whole lot else going on.
Just as an FYI, if and when it does re-open, there's a good chance it will have slightly stricter rules (mainly to make my life easier in the long run) and I'll also wipe the slate, as it were, and restart the queue, since there's a good chance most of the people who were still in line already have a costume made.

Greetings, true believers! I am glad to announce that IanTheM1's Costume Shoppe is now reopened for business!
Rules and Regulations for Requests
I don't want to turn this into a government unto itself, but for my sake, and to an extent yours, I've come up with some guidelines for submissions/requests.
Things you must provide...
<ul type="square">[*]The name of your character.[*]The powersets of your character, including pools if they're important.[*]A well-lit, unobscured screenshot of your character. (If you need someplace to host the screenshot, I recommend ImageShack.)[*]A short one sentence or so summary of the character. This isn't to scare away non-roleplayers, I just want to be able to grab onto the theme you're going for. Examples: "The Masked Bolt is a nerdy teen who's proficient in both archery and gadgets." and "WerewolfMan is a feral beast given higher intelligence by a secret government project."
Things that would be nice to have, but are not necessary...
<ul type="square">[*]The server the character is on.[*]A full backstory for your character, though preferably not epic in length.[*]More precise guidelines for the costume, such as "Maintain the red and blue color scheme." or "The chestplate is the source of his powers, so no touchie."
NOTE: All previous requests have been cleared from the queue. You must resubmit your request (under the new guidelines) to get back in line.
Disclaimer: The establishment of IanTheM1's Costume Shoppe has the right to refuse the business of anyone at anytime for any reason. This includes clearing the queue, taking breaks and haituses, and if the establishment thinks you need a breath mint. Costume turnaround time is on a "if-the-establishment-feels-like-it" basis and there are no garaunteed dates or times.
Hopefully all that didn't scare you away, so let's get fashion-minded!

Let's see what you can do:
Name: Diamondgard
Powers: Super Strength, Invincibility, Super Jump.
Pic: Here.
Summary: Diamondgard is a Subterrestrial; a foreign race that evolved far below the earth's surface. His life deep underground has made his body hard and his muscles strong, and he can breathe a variety of gasses, and sustain a variety of air-pressure levels.
Hi!
I tried this with Green Regis and I'd like to see what you can come up with:
Aleph Null
Mind/Energy Dominator, Science Origin
She's a Portal Corp researcher that was trapped in a portal event horizon/void dimension for a subjectively infinite time. Beyond mad and back to something like sanity.
More Background: I figure she's probably been in hospital for a while after her accident, most likely in a coma. After waking up she would have landed in the Zig pretty quickly as she explored her powers in a fairly sociopathic way.
Costume:
I've got a near complete mental block with this character. I prefer a relatively normally proportioned human female and I don't mind that head/hat/mask combination but I'm fairly unhappy with the rest. That could partly be the colour scheme and partly because I can't come up with a rationale to explain spikes and skulls with this character.
I had her shelved until I8 was live and I was going to play with the new costume options.
Jabberwok
Sonic/Sonic Defender, Technology Origin
A former council scientist who worked on a nanite that would bestow superpowers if it resided a superpowered host for an ammount of time. Made only one batch which he had Maestro incubate for him. Amoral rather than out and out evil.
More Background: His brother was kidnapped and implanted with nictus fragments, but did not survive the transformation. Seeing the high cost of villainy, he implanted the batch of nanites himself and fled from the council.
Costume: I like the Black/Blue scheme I have going, but the costume im not so thrilled with. I want to keep the helmet, or something similiar to it, and a golden/silver age super hero feel is what I was going for. Hes a Super Speeder, just like his name sake. Playing up the "mythical and fantastical" nature of his namesake would be a way to go.
Shouldn't be overly athletic as he is sort of a frumpy scientist, but hes not quite an average build either.
Thanks in advance.
Globulous
Level: 10
Science - Tanker Freedom
Invulnerability - Super Strength - Super Jump (eventually)
Description:
Glenn Loeb, professional wrestler, used whatever means necessary to bulk himself up. When a request for "test subjects" caught his eye he jumped at the opportunity. The test went wrong and he found himself bulked up to gigantic proportions. Imbued now with an invulnerable skin and superior strength he's given up on professional wrestling and entered the ranks of Paragon's super-heroes.
His current hero costume is merely his "wrestling" outfit. I see the Tribal Markings as tattoos, so they can't come off, but they don't need to be carried over to any outfit. He is huge. His size has all the sliders at maximum except for his head. All the sliders are at minimum.
My offer still stands.
Name: Acolyte of Discord
Origin: Science or Technology
AT: Minion
Powersets: Adv. Assault Rifle / -
Acolytes are the foot troops of D.I.S.C.O.R.D. Using advanced weaponns, they bear the brunt of the fighting. Even though yet to prove themselves, they are sometimes augmented with cybernetics or experiments.
Server: Virtue.
Appereance: Acolytes wear D.I.S.C.O.R.D.'s unique armor. It usually looks pretty generic, and would not make for much of a fun challenge, so be free to be inspired by the image more than a guideline. The loosest parts of the image are the markings themselves (the dark olive ones and the darkened boots/gloves, not mandatory) and the googles. If I like your result, I'll prolly work it into D.I.S.C.O.R.D. somehow. Maybe as a Zealot Initiate (Spec-Ops) as I have only one model so far <.<
What shall claim a Sky Kings' Ransom?
PPD & Resistance Epic Archetypes
I realize that under the rules of your store, you wont do this costume, but you might at least consider if you have some free time =P.
I just wanted to see how close you could get to her only using in-game costume items
My character's name is Sythias, who is a necro/dark MM magician. He is undead, but not a zombie, he has full control over his body, and just slightly greyish skin. A pic of him is in my sig. He is basically a magician who bought a magic book that turned out to be real magic. After practicing it, he succumbed to it to gain power. He is kind of a snooty british guy, that loves the teabag emote. I don't care what you do with the costume, but keep it looking magician-like. Thanks!
Hey Ian...im looking for a cool costume for my thug/trap MM. The toon is a female named Daddy's Brat. I dont really have any concept except that her dad gives her hired goons and various items to help get what she wants when her daddy is away. thanks ahead of time
That isnt my actual bio i just wrote what i remembered off the top of my head
