The Pedant's Guide to CoV Typos!

Psymon Omega, or is it Psimon?

The tech next to the CoT portal in the Northwest of the Nerva map also refers to Psymon as Psimon

Surly some of these things could be fixed with a simple run through with a spell checker.

You should see far fewer typo's in powers with I7. Thing's like "it's" for "its" on the other hand, are still likely to crop up and be low priority fixes.
[/ QUOTE ]
Hahaha! They finally took geko's keyboard priviledges away. Awesome.

Heh..
Not as ironic as it looks on first glance, though, as a run through a spell-checker would not have caught 'surly'.

Man, Castle's Irony power is 6-slotted, pre-ED.

It would've been funnier if he'd written "fix's" instead of "fixes" though
How about the indeterminate nature of the correct pronoun to use for Doc Buzzsaw or for Calystix? Is there a spellchecker for using "she" and "him" on the same NPC? Quite a few NPCs in CoV share this gender confusion...
To be fair, one could argue that "typo's" is simply a contraction of "typographical errors" ...
Dammit, I'm going off topic myself. Oh well ...

It's not gender confusion, it's gender ambiguity.

ROFL. Way to tell em, Surly boy >.>
There's an Arachnos mission relatively early on, where the mission intro text box says something about alarms "blair"-ing.
And yes, the Merc "Saftey" thing also bugs me to no end. (Not to mention that they use far too many exclamation marks than can be considered healthy.)

Does that mean that the Invuln typo is going to be fixed?
Note that I think that Invuln is fine the way it is, and was merely kidding.

Five, actually.
Ended a sentence with a preposition he has. Yoda, he is not.
Plus, submarines don't 'know' much of anything, although they can wait for you 'now.'
Diviner Maros needs a visit from Captain Pedant and his sidekick, States-the-Obvious Lad. A few rounds of Conjunction Junction and Lolly, Lolly Get Your Adverbs Here and he should be back on track.

Unfortunately, it would appear that English is indeed "dying".
I've seen "loose" used on many occasion in the game where "lose" was meant. Rather sad actually.
Got another one. I don't want to link it because I don't want to spoil the mission arc.
It's with Technician Naylor, in the text that offers the mission titled, 'Find the Truth'.
"I don't beleive it, not a word." Believe is spelled wrong.
Howbout this for confusing. There's a low level story arc given by Mr Bocor, the one where you face Duke Modrogar, and in it you're supposed to recover a journal. Who wrote the journal? Good question. Over the course of four missions the person is referred to as:
Padre Henri
Padre Hardi
Padre Hadri
Rather confusing since there is also a Father Henri who plays a role in the history of the Isles. Same person? Possibly, but then why the Padre/Father switch. Father Henri is supposed to be french so I wouldnt think Padre is appropriate anyway. Very distracting and immersion breaking. Normally I think this is a great game, but that just had me shaking my head in embarrasment.
I still miss the Demon Overloards.

I cracked up when i saw one from tech naylor.
To me it looks like your trying to make the guy sound Australian. But while reading the mission text i came across TEH and i couldnt stop laughing.
I wondered if i should or should not report it.
After 15 minutes of pondering and staring at TEH i sent the bug report tho.

Ask about the contact Kara the Scorpion and you'll find she was a "top-notch assasin."

I would suggest backhanding the content typers with a copy of Strunk and Whites The Elements of Style. It will do wonders for grammatical errors.
