Sweet Meet n' Greet Street Report

Maybe that was her evil plan all along, you know, have people meet her in person so she could project her menace more personally and have it reported back to the forum.
"I am CuppaJo! Fear me!"
[/ QUOTE ]
She succeeded.
[/ QUOTE ]
Actually, now that I've met her, I no longer have to fear that she really is some disembodied brain, floating in a a huge mug of dark coffee, cyberlinked up to a mainframe.
CuppaJo's just zees gal, ya know?
[/ QUOTE ]
Sorry Bill, but Cuppa looks like she could kick my <bleep> six ways to Wednesday. A floating brain just.... floats.
<shrug> I'm ex-military. Humans don't phase me that way.
Be well, people of CoH.

Remember, someone kicking your [censored] is still subject to the laws of physics. A floating brain is not.

So it can bob once in awhile too.

Floating brains are an [censored]-kicking force to be reckoned with!

Clearly the solution is to have it in Secaucus.
-5 bazillion hotels so everyone and their mom can stay closeby.
-hotels = conference rooms for cons.
-located within walking distance of me.
-close to NY.
-in NJ.
-less of a hellhole than NYC (not like thats saying much).
-doesn't smell too bad.
-near 3 airports.
-Secaucus + CoX jokes write themselves.
[/ QUOTE ]
Hmmm... How about New Brunswick?

Too close to Quebec.
I vote Niagara Falls.
Scenic (Apparently)
Lots of Hotels/Convention centers
Close to a bunch of ariports (Buffalo, Toronto, and one at the Falls)
2 Casinos
Allows both Canadian and American gamers access
I vote for scenic Pittsburgh!

No. All of those are too far away from Tampa.
Was thinking New Brunswick, New Jersey.
Canada is out in it's entirity (I'm allergic).

Rock, rock on Hamster.
It should be in Miami so that it's totally out of the way no matter where you live.
We just got back from the 4 1/2 hour drive from Austin. I wanted to say a big THANK YOU to all the NCSoft and Cyberjocks crew! My wife and I had a great time chit chatting with random folks that happened to be sitting around us. This will sound silly, but one thing I enjoyed was watching others play and how they had their game screen set up. I learned that I could change the font size so I could keep more tabs open without them taking up so much room or scrolling too fast. Yeah yeah, I know it's been in the options menu forever, I just never got around to messing with it
And props to the guy from Auto Assault ( can't remember his name ). He made sure that he got around to everyone there that wanted to test drive AA and even helped guide us thru the tutorial. Very cool! The only thing challenging was getting past all the Virtue yahoos bogarting the back row of computers.
The swag was awesome and I got what I wanted, a CoV tee! My wife was wanting a CoV retail box, but won a 60 day time card which is close enough.
All in all it was a great event and look forward to a second annual gathering in the future. Even though we didn't know anyone there from the boards or in game, everyone we talked to was really nice. I think that says a lot about CoX's player base, which is one of the aspects I love about this game.
Thanks to all who could make it to Cyberjocks and to those who were there in spirit. It was great to meet so many of the folks that enjoyed my time with CoH. Too bad Jackson Turner couldn't be there. Still missing, I guess. Let's do this again soon!
Oh, and anti-cat... we all missed you
-Gil
A big thanks to everyone that came out to the event last night. It was great to finally meet everyone face to face and have a chance to chat with a bunch of people. We really do have the best community here at CoX.
I only wish I had actually gotten to play cards instead of just building a deck.
A big thanks to everyone at Cyberjocks and all the NCpeeps that helped make the event a huge success!
And yes, I have been secretly working out since I got this gig so that someday at a meet-and-greet you guys would post my pic on the boards and Lady_Athyna would fear me.
You rock. Both of you. My ego went back up a little. I'm still sad and depressed today, but aknowledgement is great
Make your way to Origins, Gil. I command it. Then I can bug you about dumb, random stuff for hours, nonstop.

wOOt! For Meet and Greet!! We got to meet all kinds of peeps from the area. And after getting 2 Statesmen Heroclix figures outside, I smashed Statesmen under my boot, "Take that! for all the Nerfs!". All that was left was a flattened tanker :P. But i still have another here sitting on my desk. Thank you guys at NCsoft for creating a game we can love on all levels. Infinity FTW!!!

So, you don't have an in-game character yet because there is no option for gigantic-bodied female, right? Well, shouldn't you go do something about that?
Also, people much earlier posted about how Cuppa looks just like they thought except with a different hair color. I can honestly say that her appearance surprised me as I have always thought she was African-American (I swear I saw a picture long ago). Ah well.
