Hey there Taser.
A few comments:
About the rumor that Gladiators count toward kill badges:
This is from beta. At that point, Gladiators counted as regular mobs (hence the bug that gave Infamy and huge XP). Since everyone used Cobras, some players got Mongoose that way. This has been fixed and you can't get badges that way.
About the healing thing, that's very unterresting. Would explain how my dominator, who doesn't have any heal powers, started his healing badge. Would also mean i could open that badge on my tanker. Although i don't think it would be practicle to do that... Well, unless you set it do last man standing and have a friend go 3 wardens against 3 wardens, and go afk forever.
For balance, Calibans are also a bit contravertial, for 250, they are indeed underpriced.
Your comment on Wailer Queens... that's a guess right?
Your guide for Mu Guardian... that's a guess right?
Wailer Queen is an educated guess since healing is the big thing that makes them Wailer Queens (All wailers have the same basic powers, Queens can heal, Kings can rez).
Mu Guardian is definitely not a guess, as I announced in the official gladiator list thread.
Calibans don't seem to be as strong as Freakshow Tanks. I know my Caliban was destroyed literally in seconds by a team of Tanks and Warhulks.
The best way to milk the system for healing badges would be two teams, each with one Freak Tank and one Arch-Mage. The Mages will keep healing the tanks, the tanks will keep fighting each other, and they will do enough damage without killing each other to make the heals worth it.

Cat has gotten a progress bar on eanr this badge by healing others - and has never had aid other or similar power.
Its likely that the gladiator matches I have fought got me on the track.
To me this is a pretty big incentive to keep doing them.

i may be off but how could u get these in cov? u may wanna take them off the list
Mob Specialist - Unlocked by defeating 100-200 Zig Prisoners
Outcast Slugger - Unlocked with Weatherman badge, awarded for defeating 100 Outcast bosses
also wondering, where is the best place for mu guardians?
also cobra is not from mongoose badge, its from an exploration which name escapes me, but its in mercy by a snake hole
Mu Guardians are numerous in the Ghost Widow/Wretch arc for villains and they tend to be out and about around the technology store building in Cap Au Diable.
At least that is where my level 17 villain encountered them in CoV.
For heroes, Mu Guardians are in the bloody bay door missions.
total kick to the gut
This is like having Ra's Al Ghul show up at your birthday party.
XquietusX is right, Cobra comes from the Snake Charmer exploration badge in Mercy.
I've got it on all my villains since there is a snake mission that takes you down that hole, which I think is supposed to be the main entrance...I could be wrong about that bit though.
Oops. Everytime I make a huge list of gladiators like this, I mess up on one or two badges.
Mob Specialist is currently NO available in City of Villains.
Cobra is from Snake Charmer, a Mercy exploration badge.
Weatherman/Outcast Slugger is available in CoV. It's just that you have to farm one specific mission 50-100 times to get it. It's the "Destroy Hero Statues" mission from Operative Wellman.

Chief Swiper - Unlocked with Pwnz mission badge

Villains can't do PWNZ badge as of right now, so the Chief Swiper should probably be taken off the CoV list, but it isn't that important to worry about.

Yeah, a few hero badges got through with my cutting and pasting. Unfortunately I can't edit the original post to correct this.

I have the gladiator "Meson", which is missing from your list of ones that heros can get.

Wolf Spider Enforcer is popping now on Villains side on test. Of course so is Kaolin Legacy of Earth, on every toon I have both on heroes and villains.
High Beam - 50 Blaster Energy/Ice - 1228 Badges
Munitions Mistress - 50 Mercs/Traps
Many Other 50's, Too Many Alts, All On Freedom
Just Because You Can, Doesn't Mean You Should!
Taser, this will be a fantastic resource when finished. Thanks for going to all the effort, man.
As for the Kaolin Legacy of Earth, I believe that I read elsewhere in this forum that it's been tied to the 25-badges badge, no?
Is fungoid even possible on CoV? 39 levels and of the very few missions with DE never had 1 drop. Also in the Nerva Wooded areas with the DE I never seen them drop one either.

This is because DE drops have been bugged for awhile now. Since I6/CoV was patched to live? They aren't dropping for the Hero side either.
Once this bug is fixed, they should drop just the same for villains.
I've already forgotten about most of you

You are correct. Kaloin Legacy of Earth is awarded alongside Collector, the badge you get for 25 badges.

Hey, Badge Tracker says heros can get Fortunata Seer
Is this true? If so, how?
Tygara - 50 Claws/Regen/Power Scrapper, Virtue- Member of Kitties on the Prowl.
Shadeburn - Dark/Rad Defender, Virtue- Member of Catch 'Em Crew
Nature Boy' - Elec/Ice Blaster, Virtue - Member of Young Phalanx
Ok, I got Gladiators. Do I just go to the Arena and wait for the next match? How does one get in on a Gladiator match?
"Samual_Tow - Be disappointed all you want, people. You just don't appreciate the miracles that are taking place here."
<.< its a match type choice. It'll be listed on one of the fields. To set up one, just choose which glads you want to use (it'll be one of the large buttons on the bottom), save it, then go create a match. One of the drop downs on the upper left will have 2 gladiator choices, gladiators, and team gladiators. o,o then just grab a friend, or spend all day waiting for someone to want to use the arena..
Gladiators respond to ALL MasterMind commands/controls.. so it'll be just like playing a MM, cept all you can do is direct them, you can't personally attack your foes (or have your Glads do anything to the emeny player other than emotes at her/him and telling them to follow them around ^^)

Well, if it's awarded for defeating X number of Fortunata Seers, PVP zone missions, battles in Siren's Call, and walking around in Warburg would be my guess.
>.> soo... think he'll ever add the special event ones?

Gotta Catch Em All - Friggin' Taser's Guide to Gladiators
With City of Villains and Issue 6 of City of Heroes, the arena opened it's doors for the first time to non-heroes and villains alike. Deemed Gladiators, the arena was outfitted with the finest in virtual reality technology to allow for the simulated fighting of the various enemies seen throughout the Rogue Isles and Paragon City. Heroes and villains alike use this new arena technology to unwind after a busy day. Criminals and members of the notorious Family use the gladiator battles as a crude cottage industry for gambling.
Using this guide, you will quickly learn the ins and outs of gladiator battles!
Gladiator True or False:
"I can use the arena and gladiators to powerlevel my character."
False. In City of Villains beta, a bug was caught that rewarded players with the XP, infamy, prestige and salvage rewarded for their gladiators kills, though.
"There is no reward for gladiator matches."
False. There are at least 4 rewards for gladiator battles. For winning your first gladiator battle in the arena, you unlock the Lanista badge along with the Longbow Nullifier gladiator. The Longbow Nullifier is one of the stronger LT class gladiators in the game. There is also a second badge for gladiator badges, Grand Lanista, that hasn't been unlocked at this time. It is heavily rumored that Grand Lanista unlocks the Hercules Titan gladiator.
"The gladiators are unbalanced."
True to a point. There are currently two gladiators that are so effective that they render gladiator battles boring. That would be the Longbow Warden 2 and Arch-Mage of Agony. I recommend those who host gladiator battles kindly ask that anyone participating in their matches please remove these two gladiators.
"I can use gladiator matches to unlock City of Villains-specific kill badges in City of Heroes."
Unconfirmed, though it appears to be false. When City of Villains first launched, it was rumored that fighting and killing 100 Cobra gladiators in the arena would unlock the Mongoose badge and the Cobra gladiator for heroes. No one has been able to actually confirm this, though.
"I can use gladiator matches to work on badges such as healing, damage taken, etc."
Unconfirmed, though it appears to be true. Logic would dictate that since gladiator matches are based on the same tech as mastermind pets, that the same rules apply. So any healing or damage your gladiators do is credited to you for badges. If you are looking for gladiators that heal, there are quite a few: Longbow Warden 2, Arch-Mage of Agony, Wailer Queen, Cobra. Cobra is the easiest to get on the villain side.
