Aside from concept, why pick anything over EM?

I recently rolled a Stone/Invuln Brute and lvl'd him to 15 in 2 days...not out of the ordinaryby any means, but i gotta say, for fun factor....Stone kicks serious butt. When fury builds to about half (maybe a bit more) its one-shot city, and the sound effects REALLY make it fun. I slot both my mallet attacks with 2 acc, 1 dam, 2 end red., and a recharge and use hasten situationaly, i imagine when i can use SO's i may drop an acc for a damage but for now things are great.

SS is also nice because its like EM it has a good chance of stunning enemies that and SS has a ranged attack thats like Air Superiorority nothing beats that but Rage is better than Build-Up.... in some ways

The OP's question is a fair one, and he never said it was the only way to look at things, and even took pains to indicate it wasn't.
Why do some of you people have to pose? It's a good question, and the OP (and myself, and I'm sure others) learned something in the process.

Terra comment about this is simple. Paper is not always condusive to all outcomes. EM look good n beginning,b ut comparably,a nd considering more enemies towards end game have alot of energy resistance, EM not exactly as great as it sounds. Furthermore, damage wise, as an SS, Terra tend to come out ontop. Footstomp might seemt o take longer as an AE, but have much wider range, and do alot more damage than whirling fist.
PvP potential for EM there, but thena gian, depend on sets. Alot of energy resistant sets out there. Fought an energy brute today in Warburg. Dunno why, but guess just felt like attacking me. His 120 point total focus versus my 175 point ko blow makes total difference.

Ive been reading this thread to learn more but there is no mention about ELECTRIC brutes. How does an elec/, /elec, elec/elec fit into this debate? Thanks!
This thread was all pre elec/, hence the lack of electric..er... ness. Why it got ressurected is beyond me, it seems the reply in question is now gone.

If electric was out back then this thread would have gone very different. For me I pick electric for pure aoe killing. It works great for me. Mayhem missions with lightning rod is so uber.
