You know, this could be just me misremembering, but I thought Hurricane did pulse with a weak knockback/knockdown once in a blue moon.

Dragon Flys and Storm Shamans certainly seem to enjoy flinging me around with theirs.

I don't get this. Give pushback resistance to melee sets, when melee sets are the only folks that pushback powers are useful against. Why bother having pushback powers?

While the defense increase is nice for the EA stalkers, I'd feel better about the other changes if it was possible to increase the magnitude of the teleport or repel effect to get past the resistance.

To be honest, I didn't mind the current system. Having one or two ATs that couldn't be easily dealt with by melee wasn't a huge concern, particularly given the overall weakness of defenders (most controllers, corruptors, and dominators) in PVP thanks to limited defenses, complete lack of CC protection (particularly with regards to toggle dropping), and low health. Particularly given that to stop a repel effect, all it takes is ranged damage or a single ranged CC power.

I imagine Hurricane will at least continue to interrupt AS (as well it should) even through the repel resistance, which means that sets with CC effects (Energy melee in general, cobra strike, etc.) will now be set for wiping out the squishies that were previously able to deal with stalkers. (disorient, Placate, AS) Kind of a shame, really.

But then, I'm fine with the way my stalker plays. If anything, I'm looking forward to the one-shot solution and inevitable change to the way 'stealth' works.

Thinking about playing a */en stalker; but worried that the powers have a "glowie effect" that would ruin my concept.

This is the reason I'm advacating change to the actual "repel" physic. Powers that cause it, do infact take KB enhancers. So somewhere in there, there are ticks of Knock-back/down being made. I've seen it happen plenty of times.

Infact the repel physic is likely just a bunch of rapid ticks of knockback. So adding suppression to it in PvP should not be that difficult. It certainly makes more sense than giving a bunch of melee classes start-to-finish resistance the effect when the whole point of these powers are to keep melee users the hell away from your squishies. Especially you Stalkers, most of us "squishies" have to buy IR Goggles to stop you from killing us so easily, so you should have to buy Stun Grenades to stop our Storm users.

...Again, only fair trade off

Many other sets got those, too. Just don't ask me which...I don't remember, and I won't have time to do the research. It should be in the Patch notes, however.

Well, if they are getting them, its not listed in the notes for the current patch on the Training Room. The only other TP protection changes listed are these:


* Force Field/Personal Force Field now protects the caster from enemy Teleportation.

* Kinetics/Increase Density now protects the target from enemy Teleportation.

Of course, it could just be left out of the patch notes. As an aside, maybe you could talk to your coworkers about producing complete patch notes on a regular basis? We're regularly getting imcomplete or inaccurate patch notes, and thats no way to treat your customers.
