I only disagree w/ the notion that ice/em tanks are the best for the same reason that you feel they're the best... the specific powersets we use most frequently and how effective they are against ice tankers. You use Celsius and are basically reduced to using your secondary because of the high cold resists on ice tanks. I use fire primary on Ember and chew right through them w/o ever having to enter melee... along those same lines, fire/em tank take me a while to break down. The 3 best PvP tanks I've seen on champ are/were Jett, Golem, and Anckle... 2 out of 3 stone/em tanks (which is why they're my choice for biggest pain in the $%^& for tanks). 
Btw, blasters don't need a tray full of yellows against defense-based sets... they can cycle BU + aim.

And an Ice Tank can bring purps with them to overcome that. There's a counter to every strategy. Def sets are great. An SR scrapper one-on-one is tough if you don't have a tray of yellows with you. If the ice tanker is slotted right, your BU + Aim might not even be enough.

ice/energy is nice against trollers but that's about it, everything else has to hit buffs and nails them pretty easy

I just thought I'd make a response to what Kagemon had to say about people veterans or not. I haven't been at the whole pvp thing too long, but I've done my share of killing and dying in the time. Commenting on someone being a veteran or not is trivial, everyone will lose to something eventually.

I don't see how you can complain about someones tactics when yours is to jump around in very large circles and spam aid self. No one wants to pvp against someone that is just going to jump around and heal themselves while being forced to stand there and look like an idiot.
It seemed clear that you were frustrated when someone used the same tactic you employ with their own archtype (placate, run in circles wash, rinse, repeat.) because you would bounce around each time you'd come near death. This just seems like a hyped up "pot, kettle, black" scenario that you've created, Kagemon.
However, all of that said, if your tactic is to hop around with superjump, then hop away. But you really shouldn't complain about what other people do (using inspirations, nukes or whatever in a pvp match.)

Did some SC tonight with friends from the HERO SG after Warburg dried up. Rememdium, Electric Bubble, Felix Anger and Eye of Infinity. Have to love CM and fort from the emp. Stalker bane!! Stomping thru SC killing villians left and right, got 8k in bounty, nice littel 53 SO for my trouble.
Trolled over to Warburg after some arena action with EB and Felix. Gave Kagemon a shot with my Stalker. Learned that the Stalker is no where near specced for PvP. Will do that when the level cap is raised and he dings 50. Learned thru my time here to hoard the respecs like gold.

I actually acknowledged his use of inspirations as a 'brilliant tactic'. Not even remotely bitter at that. I hope you could differentiate between jousting and just plain running away. Isn't running away something your quite adept at?

I responded to someone griefing me, and only toward that toon. Furthermore I did nothing really but follow them around, and take numerous PvP deaths because of it. I broadcasted my complaints a few times as well. I am certainly not the first. Did we really need to bring it to the boards, or can we drop it? I assume you are the toon in question, otherwise why get involved?
I have some very strong opinions regarding risk versus reward and stalker stealing bounties I did 99% of the damage to. Especially when I invite them after ganking my kill. The response "I get more solo, teams no advantage". I complained about it in game, noone seems to agree with me, so Ill be working Warburg or the Arena's. Problem solved.
BTW please don't follow me around with this. If it was your stalker I apologize. I still think what you did was bullcrud, but hey enjoy and Ill see you in Warburg.

I would agree with you until I saw otherwise. Granite/EM is good but it has too many debuffs. Ice/EM is a defense set, so unless a blapper or troller brought a tray of yellows with them, it's going to be hard to drop toggles and take out the Ice Tanker. But of course the Ice Tanker is going to have to slot its primary set very heavy.
