Taunt enhancements in EM
It's a direct port from what the Tanker version. Since the beta they have removed the stacking also so the powers behave just like scrapper powers.

So slotting Taunt enhancements doesn't really do anything then?
"The best thing about being a robot duplicate of Lord Nemesis is, well... Everything."
Well it doesn't but not to the effect that Gauntlet does on CoH. I have noticed that the taunt effect in the EM set doesn't really do much because I can be tagging an enemy and it will still run away. On CoH even without any Taunts slotted the enemy will rarely run after you have built up enough hate.
You might wanna try it and see if it is any different on CoV, but I would assume it's not.

I rolled a EM/EA Brute and noticed that you can slot Taunt enhancements in EM powers.
Do those enhancements actually do something or is it a residue from porting the powerset from Tankers (Since Brutes don't have Punchvoke)

OK, let me start by stating that a Brute will taunt any target they hit, just like all ATs. The Brute's taunt is equal to that of a Tanker, BUT it only effects the target hit. A Tanker's "Gauntlet" effects not only the foe hit, but other foes in his area, up to five enemies total.
Hope this helps
Brutes have an inherent taunt on their attack powers but it's only single target and affects the target you're attacking. Brutes can slot their attack powers so they have a greater taunt effect on them.
The Tanker's Gauntlet inherent ability effects nearby enemies instead of just 1 target but up to a maximum of 5 enemies.

Not to cry foul to much but doesn't that make the much weaker inherent power that tanks get already even more pathetic when compaired to everyone else's?

Ah then I was wrong, thanks for clearing this up for me.
As a side not, if they have a built in Taunt, then how come with im opening a can of whoop a** on an enemy, they will just up and hail out on me?

lol. Someone's forgetting the FURY meter... THAT is the Brute's inherent, not the single-target taunt effect of their attacks.

A limited taunt and fury, tanks really did draw a short straw. But then except for containment and crits, the villians all got better inherent powers.

Tanks get stronger defenses then a Brute does. They may not have the damage a Brute does but dishing out damage is not what a Tank is supposed to be doing, aggro management is their game.
Sigh tanks have more resists then brutes. Brutes cannot hold agro as well as a tank. Brutes in a fight with tanks often the brute goes down while the tank remains standing.
The villian inherents actually are quite weak. Supremecy isn't all that is cracked up to be. It is a pbaoe meaning aoes on the minions get to you.
Domination has to be built up to be active and has a long recharge.
Assaination you have to be hidden. Once you fight or are attacked you are very weak.
scourge? 20% health on mobs to be active reliably. And no buildup. Blasters eat corrupters. And the corrupter isn't any more soloable then a defender.
Sorry the villian inherents are very weak when you examine them.

Tanks don't get fury. Their punchvoke is a tiny AoE that does nothing in PvP. Brutes get a non-AoE punchvoke and fury. Somehow I think the tanks are getting the short end of this deal.

I'd personally love to have this on AV or Giant monster fights.
Jonyu didn't specify, but I'd wager that the Brute's single-target taunt isn't even auto-hit, in much the same way that the Kheldian taunt is not auto-hit. (even if the Kheldian variety is AoE) I'd say that gives an edge to the Tanker, since their Guantlet ability is auto-hit. Besides, no one can really match Tanker resistances without buff assistance.

Punchvoke does in fact work in PvP. It has a 50% chance to hit just like the Taunt power that is in every secondary for a tank.
and the inherent taunt in the Brute attacks really doesn't do much if anything, I have a hell of a time keepin things off my squishys
