Sadly, my PM'ed request for Frostling and Crone Gladiators from the Halloween and Winter events was denied by Positron. He said that giving gladiator badges on top of rare badges would just make those who didn't get the chance to earn them angrier and, if they let you earn them through the arena, those kill badges wouldn't be so unique.

But that doesn't mean we can't suggest more common enemies to be made into Gladiator Badges, such as...

Bull Natterlings
Overseers
Pumicites
Red Cap Fiends
A Boss-Level Prisoner
Arachnos Night Widow
Shivan minion

Contaminated Thugs!

Actually, I really don't know how many gladiator badges are out there, but I would like to see Tsoo Sorcs, Madness/Ruin/Death Mages, Malta Operatives/Gunslingers, KoA mercenaries...ah crap I just want EVERY mob in the game to be a gladiator!

Heck, any Rularuu would be good.

The most obvious one - sappers. It would be even better if we could get fake sappers for cheap - maybe 150pts. Looks like a sapper, fires off powers that use the same effects, but there's never endurance drain. One real sapper with two fakes around him should get real interesting.

Sorcerers really need to be in there. Heck, maybe they are. I logged in last night and got like 20 gladiator badges.

How about D.E. swarms? Not the run-of-the-mill kind, mind you, but the nasty kind down in the Eden trial that take away fly powers. That should bring Longbow Wardens down to earth.

Hammidon - no go, he won't fit on some of the maps. Sorry.

Rikti Monkies - cost only 50 each and you can get up to 20 of them. <grin>

Believe me, I asked Positron for this one. But I think he picked up on my hidden agenda of finally being able to get Isolator through the arena and veto'd it.

Shivan Overseer is a CoV Gladiator.

But I agree that we need some Croatoa and Shadow Shard Gladiators.
And put away Pumicites, take Magmites, they look much cooler

Carnies! Maybe some master illusionist, that would be pretty cool. From my experience on test they didnt really follow the commands to well either, but it might have just been lag.

Ohhh good call! I totally forgot about carnies!

I hope there is someone out there who isn't as lazy as I am, and will put together a list of known gladiators and the things that unlock them.

I think it'd be pretty fun to have an AV or two you can use. Maybe make it so you have to have multiple members on your team to summon one. For example, it could cost 8000 points so you have to have 4 people. Then you could pit AVs against each other or have one AV against another groups forces.

Other mobs I'd like to see:
- Devoured
- Shadows (from Dark Swan's mission)
- Ascendants
- Monkeys (but make it so each dot summons 3-4)
- Several of the Arachnos mobs (especially those guys with the spider limbs)

Realistically, I hope each mob faction in the game gets at least one you can summon.

I may not have found all of them, but here's a few I'd like:

Luminous Eidolon (Mmm... Rad debuff...)
Crey Protector
Chief Mentalist
Dark Ring Mistress (Might have to be a little expensive, though)
Hercules Class Titans, complete with combination ability.
Blood Brother Brawler (For the sheer fun of it)
Sky Raider Egineer
Sky Skiff
Boss Vampyr

You could make a nice team out of those.

Aegis Rose, Forcefield/Energy Defender - Freedom
"Bubble up for safety!"

I was thinking Wisps from the Shadow Shard would be Over powering due to the Psi attacks, but they do infact die fast. Wisp Overlords are just too much to handle.

while thinking of alll the objects in the game, i came up with two final answers to the question of what other gladiators should their be.

1. The NPC citizens like the ones you see walking around atlas! i'm not sure how their basic attacks would be though. i've considered they could be holding torches and to minor fire dmg? similar to the mob which hunted Frankenstein in the book.

2. The Dreaded Shadow Cyst Crystal! i'm not sure how this would even be able to move to a designated location. perhaps a onetime click/place. and with the Shadow Cyst Crystak, it could take up the gladiator points just for one of them. Even just their Squishies would be fine as designated gladiators. fun and weak.

i'll keep thinking. too bad giant monsters are obviously out of the question.

Overall, I want to see more Mezzing focused enemies to give some more strategic elements.

Is anyone else amazed by how good Calibans are in gladiator matches? Also, the Arch-Mage of Agony is incredibly good, but that's to be expected. I still think he's underpointed though.
