TopDoc's Complete Movement Guide

Screwloose has it right. Your fastest option is to slot Sprint with 2 Run Speed IOs (initial plus an extra slot). After that, do the same with Swift and Quickness in any order. After that, give a third slot to Sprint. After that, give a third slot to Swift and/or Quickness in any order. But understand that the third slots in those powers won't do a whole lot.

As I've said many times in this thread, pick up Hurdle instead of Swift. It's a MUCH larger movement bonus. Give it 3 total slots in Jumping, and you're all set. Yes you have to jump around like a bunny everywhere, but it's fairly fast and doesn't take many slots.

Thanks for the advice

I burned up my freespec on my lvl 28 /SR to drop Swift (for now) & pick up Hurdle.

Hurdle 3-slotted is sooo cool. Why can't 3-slotted Swift give the same return that Hurdle does

I love 3 slotted swift though for my melee alts, and miss mucho the days when my stoned tanki had 6 slotted swift - unsupressed, no endurance movement buff. I am very annoyed, as I have many alts with 2-3 slotted swift, that I can't put run IO sets in swift.

This was an excellent guide, and helped me out in choosing my travel power. I'm curious though, now that I10 has been out, do the op's #'s still stand solid, or is it better/worse?

One of the pages goes on about ED, go back 4 pages and read from there.

Very good guide.

A couple of points on Teleport however.

The best AT to choose Teleport with is a Regen Scrapper. Their Fast Recovery combined with a simple 2 slotted Stamina can make Teleport fuction easily with no endurance woes at all. That leaves you free to slot your Teleport for maximum range or with an IO set.

With practice a player can learn to use Teleport effectively in combat (I use it constantly, porting from one foe to another much in the way you would expect Nightcrawler<TM> of the X-Men<R> would). It merely takes patience to get used to it and timing to use it to maximum effect. You can even get used to the Red Reticle of Doom in missions by learning which of these areas will still allow a port to occur.

That is all.

I loved this guide two years ago, and I just want to make sure I thanked TopDoc for it!

And I'm also wondering if an update is forthcoming, now that we have Real Numbers and can get a lot of the blanks filled in.

Maybe one of these days. But probably not till I12 and we get some real numbers reported in-game.

Yeah, we'll hopefully get actual percentages on the powers themselves.

For what it's worth, I just happen to have level 14 numbers for Hover with Kinetic buffs:

Base: 14.32 mph
SB: +7.19 mph
SS: +12.23 mph
Hover: -8.88 mph

Yes.

Teleport without End problems is so easy that saying you need QR to do it best is like saying you need a sledge hammer to best put a hook in the wall to hang a picture. It's overkill in the extreme.

Anyone can TP without End problems.

Meanwhile, NO powerset other than Energy Manipulation can increase the Range of Teleport.
