We use the game as a jumping off point for our own collaborative storytelling.

# Guild Description: (Motto, membership requirements/guidelines, and any other information that might help a hero decide whether or not to apply to your group): Not only a supergroup, but a large dysfuntional family. We are more in the vein of X-Men/Justice League. though we are not nearly as formal. The idea of 'we do not kill' is very prevelant amond the members. We do not require RP, but all current members do RP. We are very active and do lots of things besides missions, but due a major amount of grouping. We require at least level 10 in most cases. We have a large level spread of members.
Name: Project Rebirth
Website: Project Rebirth!
Recruiting Officers: Black Atom (leader), Quickshot, Mystica, Witch Engine, Skywatch, Footpad, Blueshift, Blue Migraine, Vendetta
Preferred Method of Contact: The website is best, either in the roleplay forum or the application section if you wish to apply. /tells in-game or in-game e-mail are also welcome.
Description: We're a light-roleplay supergroup that's been around since beta. The reformed(?) supervillain Black Atom has put together a clearinghouse of superheroes to defend Paragon City, but what else is he planning? Most of the group is somewhere in the level 22-28 range, and we're definitely looking to expand our ranks with laid-back, mature folks who want a bit of roleplay with their Clock-cleaning and Skull-bashing.

Description: Heavy RP supergroup which no longer requires you to arrest hero characters if the need arises. If you join up you can decide if you would rather just want to do missions or do RP events that are hosted internally that the public isn't aware of. If you would like to handle any investigations with other heroes you will have to be trained in a few courses to make sure you don't "god" mode over other heroes. Only main requirement is that you can RP with the rest and tolerate it.

The group is open to all ages, several members are adult members of our sponsor group the Galacto Guard. They are here providing mentorship and as a guide to the younger members.

Superbabes
Website: www.superbabesofvirtue.tk
Leader: Testarossa
What we are: Superbabes is an all-fem character super group on the Virtue server of City of Herores. Currently with over 200 superheroines across five chapters.
Superbabes Focus: We are the beautiful and powerful. A Superbabe should be classy, intelligent and kind. To be a Superbabe you need to have good fashion sense as well as be able to thump bad guys and protect the citizens of Paragon. We help each other out and take care of our own. We are chatty, flirty and fun. Leveling to get new powers and go on even grander adventures is important but it is also important to help each other out and enjoy the journey. So, from that we actively participate in beauty/costume/swimsuit contests, dance events and other fun city activities. It also means that many of our members are frequently poor from spending all their influence on a new outfit from Icon for the next event or get together.
How to become a Superbabe: You need to be adult/mature enough to handle some flirty/frisky content. Have a 'babe' of a fem character on the Virtue server and pass an interview with Testarossa or one of the officers of the Superbabes. It is critical that you agree with the Superbabes focus of having a fun social super group. You can contact Testarossa online or send her an in-game email about yourself and she will coordinate an interview with you.

Website: Synergia
Recruiters: Arcadian Knight, Huntress, Kyou No Oni, Silverblade
Preferred Method of Contact: Post on our website, send a PM or an in-game tell or email to arrange a time to meet.
Description: Synergia is the Latin word for synergy, a cooperative effort by a group that produces a greater effect than the sum of the individual effects. We of Synergia are united to defend the innocent and to face the onslaught of evil and villainy that has plagued Paragon City.
((We are a role-playing supergroup striving for a family-like atmosphere. Our goal is to facilitate a wonderful RP environment that will allow each individual to weave tales of heroics, comedy and/or adventure. Oh, and of course, have fun!))
Supergroup Name: Hero Dawn
Website: Hero Dawn Forums
Leader or Recruiting Officers: Wildwood, Shadow Diamon, Aurea , Fair Witness and Svengjuk
Preferred Method of contact: We prefer people meet us in game. We like getting to know those interested in our super group through playing together.
Guild Description: I'd say the most important thing is that we are about having fun and helping others to have fun. We have range of players who's diverse interests and toons offer us breath and depth of community. But we are held strong together by bonds of friendship and loyalty.
Every group must have some rules, ours are simple: be active, be helpful, and behave. I could go into the long version but I think that gets the point across. We don't actively recruit, but we aren't shy either and are always interested in talking to those who might find a place in our family.
Keep an eye out for us, as we like to sponcer special events like our recent Hollows Assistance Campaign and our upcoming Great Escort Event
* Supergroup Name: The Knights of Paragon
* Website: You can find us on Guild Portal at:
http://www.guildportal.com/Guild.asp...mp;TabID=96180
* Leader: Hollow
* Other members to contact: Black, Icebreaker, Omegus, Paragon Patriot, and Force.
* Preferred Method of contact: You can most easily and readily reach the Knights of Paragon through our message boards on our guild portal home at the link above.
* Guild Description: The Knights of Paragon are a Role Playing-centric group, although we do not consider ourselves "hard core" in any way. We have a family-like atmosphere, as many of the members have known eachother for years. The supergroup itself was founded two years before City of Heroes was even released, or thereabouts. We are most active in our message boards, where we participate in RP storyarchs, getting to know our characters better and enjoying the chance to have them work together not only only in-game, but in text. This is a tradition that we have continued since before the game itself.
We have in-game meetings once a month, when we get together and generally pound on bad guys. Other than that, you can usually find at least three or four of us on at a time, but that number generally varies depending on the time of day and the day of the week. Some of our members are very casual, while others play all the time, so you needn't worry about feeling like you don't participate enough, or too much, as long as you DO participate.
As for group theme, the only one is general morality and chivalry. Other than that, we are a band of very unqiue and different heroes, brought together by a common fight for justice.

Supergroup: The Seekers
Website: http://www.seekers-hq.com
Officers: Jolly-Roger (Commander), Shock Sniper, Abenedar
Preferred Method of Contact: The website!
Guild Description: The Seekers are a light-roleplaying group of mature gamers, who've got branches in both CoH and WoW. -- Visit our website, "Pillars of Virtue Online", and feel free to post in the forums or use PMs to contact a member!
-- Send a /tell in-game to any active members.[*] SuperGroup Description:
In-Game: Pillars of Virtue was founded by Jennifer Johannsen after side-effects of an event at Rogas Pharmeceuticals qualified her for hero registration. Feeling obligated to give back to the community and not let her good fortune go to waste, Jenn found a void of support organizations for purely volunteer heroic community service.
Flash forward to Pillars of Virtue, now a fully licensed non-profit organization with a sponsored SuperGroup, that seeks to improve the conditions of local neighborhoods by providing opportunities for heroes to donate time toward valuable efforts. The doors of the Pillars' home office in Galaxy City are open to anyone with time to spare, a sense of duty, and a good heart.
For Players: Pillars of Virtue hopes to create a home for busy, time-strapped people still dedicated to playing in the Paragon diegesis with fully realized characters. We cater to those with modest play schedules -- those online 6-10 hours a week on average. Typical activities include "group meeting" RP sessions, followed by patrols of players' missions, and Task Forces when possible. Roleplaying is also a major part of what we do. (If you used a 1-5 scale of RP intensity, from 1:never/none to 5:constant/intense, I guess we'd be about a 4!)[/list]

Guild Description:
8/17/2004 10:21:03 AM -- AP WorldStream
MACDILL AFB, Fla. (AP): For over 70 years, Paragon City has been a flashpoint for super-powered conflict, and it seems only to escalate. Now it is drawing official military attention. At a press conference this morning General Bishop announced the deployment of a detachment of Joint Task Force Hero to the Paragon City area.
"The Rikti, as well as armed forces dedicated to the violent overthrow of the United States, such as the 5th Column and Nemesis, have begun concentrating forces in Paragon City in even greater numbers. In response, we are redistributing our forces to address these developments. As part of this redeployment, a special detachment of Joint Task Force Hero will be permanently stationed in the city to prosecute operations against these growing threats."
General Bishop revealed that a small strike team has already been operating in the city for several weeks now, and the size of the force will grow as the reposturing continues. When asked about the legal implications of the use of military forces within the US, General Bishop explained that the rules of engagement in place are compliant with federal and state laws.
"While Posse Comitatus does place limitations on our operations beyond the listed threats, there are extant provisions in the Might for Right Act and Citizen Crime Fighting Acts that allow for limited assistance to law enforcement. We recognize the efforts of hero organizations, individual heroes, and the organs of civil order which are combatting chaos on the streets of Paragon City, and will make every effort to assist them outside of our operations, within the legal limitations laid upon us."
Civil libertarian organizations released a joint statement expressing concern about these developments. "When the government begins employing offensive military force against its citizenry, all our liberties are in danger. We will be closely monitoring the actions taken by these forces to ensure they do not drift into this dangerous area."
The governor of Rhode Island could not be reached for comment.
General James J. Lindsay created Joint Task Force Hero in 1988 as part of the reform of special operations forces throughout the US military. It consolidated hero assets of all the services under a single command. Joint Task Force Hero engages in traning and operations throughout the globe, often alongside the super-powered forces of NATO countries and other friendly nations. Most notably they have engaged in the conflict against the Reichsman and Amerika Korps in 1989, and numerous operations during the Rikti War in 2002. Since the war, Joint Task Force Hero has been focusing operations on mopping up pockets of Rikti resistance left behind after the destruction of their portal.
Major General Miles Bishop was appointed Commander, Joint Task Force Hero in 2002 in the wake of the Rikti War. He has been a tireless advocate in rebuilding US military hero strength following the devastating losses suffered during the war.
((We are a small themed supergroup, open to characters of all archetypes, origins, and levels, so long as they have a military association. We like to engage in light RP while running missions, we have no problem with SKing or Exemplaring, and we have a regular teaming night weekly, for those that can make it.
Membership requirements are that all heroes (not necessarily players, just heroes) be active duty members of some branch of the US or other allied military, must invest in one costume that has a military appearance, must behave in a respectful manner towards others, must be able to put up with other SG members tossing military lingo and salutes around , and must log on an play on at least a semi-regular basis.))

Hello, Heroes! I'd like to introduce you to the Trimmers. The Trimmers is a Multi-game guild begun in PlanetSide a few years back. We have active divisions in CoH, PS, WoW and a few others. More than the average SG, we strive for friendship and support.
We use TeamSpeak fairly extensively, which really enhances our gameplay and friendship.
We also run The Operatives, which is the RP side of our guild, and we encourage you to check out the Operatives videos at our website. Not all Trimmers are Operatives, but all Operatives are Trimmers.
We don't, as a rule, admit toons to the guild, rather, we invite players, whose toons can then join any of the SGs we manage.
If you're interested in a supportive, fun guild with great people, just send a global tell to any of the officers listed below or look for a Trimmers or Operatives guild tag! See you in game!

Supergroup Name: Young Phalanx
Website(if any): http://phalanx.dragon-fire.net
Leader or Recruiting Officers: Stateslad, Back Yard Boom, P-Tron, Mark 20X6, Dove-Song
Prefered Method of Contact: Website or in game
Guild Description: This is an RPing supergroup. We will try to remain IC when possible.
The Young Phalanx, founded by Stateslad and P-Tron, are the next generation of the Freedom Phalanx. Sure, while there are plenty of people out there who are, in fact, Freedom Phalanx reserve members, Paragon City responds best to its icons. One day, those heroes will find themselves unable to serve as such icons any longer, and the Young Phalanx will fill their shoes.
Mostly, our heroes are teen-versions of NPCs. Think the Teen Titans to an extent, except for the CoH universe. Kid Flash, Aqualad, Superboy, etc, as well as other members that don't have any connection to other heroes at all. Instead of DC heroes, though, we have CoH ones. Stateslad to Statesman, P-Tron to Positron, etc. As stated before, we DO allow teenage characters that are NOT based on NPC heroes into the group now.
As long as you roleplay and have a teenage character, odds are, you're easily in.
Other than the theme, there are no real rules to the SG. Level all you want, do missions, roleplay, play however often you like. The SG isn't designed for mains but rather for alts, to have a little fun when you have time [though making it your main is not discouraged =)].

supergroup information updated in new post
Sovereign Allegiance is open to all types of players. We're always looking for active, mature players who will help their fellow SG mates. Most of us participate in PvP and I plan on hosting PvP events with other supergroups or teams in the near future.
We also have our own Ventrilo (voice chat) server and forums for members to use. Ventrilo helps players while teaming and improves their over all gaming experience.
Sovereign Allegiance has a fantastic Supergroup costume that members can wear at level 20 if they choose.
I have some big things planned for this SG. With the release of CoV closing in, I can't wait to design a base and even make a Villain chapter of Soveriegn Allegiance.
I'd love to hear from you all. If you're a roleplayer, casual player, powergamer or just have a question, please send me a message @Soulie. You may also go to our website and leave me a message there also.
Thanks for taking the time to check us out!

Include the following information:
* Supergroup Name: Warriors of Terra
* Website (if any): warriorsofterra.com
* Leader or Recruiting Officers: Pangea and Brimstoned
* Preferred Method of contact: Forum PM, in-game email or tell, regular email (pangea@warriorsofterra.com)
* Guild Description: "We fight for the earth, because we are the earth itself." Characters must have an elemental/environmental theme in order to join. This can be as easy as power picks or character descriptions. We do very light role-playing, but I expect people to have fully developed biographies for their characters. People will have to play a few sessions with more senior members of the group (we currently number aorund 10) before being asked to join. We play for fun and friendship, and expect the same from all those who play with us.
