Except the people that preordered from EB Games, but live in Denmark, and got a regular box instead of preorder, and of course when it got here it was too late, no fair! aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!

Hmm, perhaps a badge for characters over a year old?
Heh, Dr. Simian was created during the 3-day headstart so is actually over a year old already.

Knowing Pos' penchant for puzzles and innuendos, it would appear by this comment that there may very well BE a Veteran badge. Just my 2 influence.
It's like in the D&D game, when the DM says, "You don't see the trap." You begin to question the statement, and wonder if indeed there is a trap, since you didn't see it. LOL.

And we do have a few veteran badges from the Halloween event and Winter Lords... something I realized when I did the respec TF and a teammate noted that my character was the oldest for having the Halloween bages that the others didn't have.
'course that requires these events to not be repeated with the same badges.
Too bad there's no badge for the Calvin Scott TF. That'd be a very cool badge to have once I4 hits.
It would be nice if a character automatically got a badge at a year old, 6 months, 2 years, etc. The holiday badges are nice but don't neccesarily mean anything, since someone could've been away from the game that weekend, or simply not bothered getting them on all their characters.

Yes, and with it we show our true dedication to the game... along with the Haloween, both Winter event, and my V.I.P. Badges!!

Does that mean there might be a Veretan reward in coming at some point? That would rock!
Love the party hat btw...
It's too bad I had to switch from my beta account to a live account last April. I would have loved a 'beta-tester' badge.

Hahaha!
As a noob DM who just started a few weeks ago, I find that especially entertaining.
When exactly did it become fashionable for people to take something thoughtful that someone (or group) does for you, then pick it apart and instead of thanks find countless ways to say what they should have given you as a gift? When I was a kid, if I did this at Christmas or a birthday, generally it was not tolerated. So to that end I say to Positron, and Statesman, and Cuppa and Poh and the other eleventy-two devs and support staff thankyou:
Thank you for helping me fly like I did in the backyard or my mind as a kid.
Thank you for the hours of sleep you did not get this year.
Thank you for listening to our whining and our praise in very unequal portions, and for staying the course.
Thank you for caring, genuinely caring about your product, it's quality and your clients.
Thank you for not giving us everything we want and turning Paragon City into the land of Verucca Salt.
Thank you for a story and a background that has brought many hours of gameplay, entertainment, frustration, and new friends.
Thank you for making it a year and not leaving us for some new project.
Most of all thanks for a game that my family, and friends enjoy, for helping make missions table talk at breakfast on Sundays, and for an excuse to have people over and BBQ whilst we "meet" as a SuperGroup.
Until Statesman sells out and goes bald, make mine Paragon!
So when exactly do you get the badge im logged on now and didnt get it.

You'll have to wait until I-4 goes live. I won't speculate here on exactly when that will be.
I'm still searching the forums for more info, but are we sure that the badge means I-4 is coming soon? It could be its own separate update for the anniversary along with the free respec.
Ask and you will receive.

Oh, and be sure to read the fine print.
total kick to the gut
This is like having Ra's Al Ghul show up at your birthday party.
curious. every toon that logs in gets the respec, or every toon regardless?
I'm pretty sure it's every toon. You only have to log in for the badge.

Every toon that logs into the game after I4 goes live until May 31st will get the badge. New heroes created after I4 goes live and before May 31st will also get the badge, even if said hero is created May 30th at 11:59pm.
All currently existing heroes as of this morning get a free respec (unless they still had their free respec from the winter holiday). I assume a hero created today will not get a free respec.

This is nice but what about a badge for all of us who lived and died during that year not just showed up for the party. A badge for your biggest supporters that have been here through the beta, paid and played all year, even upgraded to the DVD Edition. Or will we have to wait to buy City of Villians also before that ever happens?

Not handing out Torches and Pitchforks here, but when I first saw the badge I thought it was for veterans too. What's wrong with a veteran badge?
