It works. Thanks for the link to Imageshack, Viga_Axe. This is the first time I've had a real avatar for a forum. I'm a member of another forum unrelated to this game and my avatar there was just taken from a set of pre-loaded images. Maybe I'll use these guys for my avatar there, too.

neat, i got mine to work too....
i kept getting improper picture type message, then realised that in the URL i wastn putting the .GIF extension at the end of the file name....oops...

Well, after repeated attempts at using imageshack and having it fail miserably, I am close to giving up. Any ideas as to why every time I cut and paste the link from imageshack, I am always getting errors? Yet when I use photobucket, everything seems to work just fine.

I've seen a number of avatars that are animated, but I have no idea who to set that up. What I would like is a screen shot of each of my characters and have the avatar blend from one to the other to the other, etc, then loop back to the first and do it all over again. Is there an "easy" guide with simple instructions for this somewhere ? Or better yet, someone willing to do it if I send them my screen shots.

If you cant get Photoshop get Paint Shop Pro @ www.jasc.com
(I think its easier than Photoshop)

I noticed print screen doesn't always get the ID page (for some alts of mine it did but for some it did not) - try SnagIT which does the same kind of thing and is fairly easy to use.

When double checking size of the Avatar you may be able to put your cursor over the image (in your editor of choice) and it will show you the image dimensions in the bottom right corner.

The little code thingy photoshop gave me doesn't wprk after I put it the little avatar box and clicked submit it said that this page has been called an invalid option, it has been aborted for security reasons, any ideas?

Just a little thing,

Imageshack provides a about 5 different URL code lines to copy in, depending on weither you want an avatar type image or a named URL link to your image, basicaly use the last option labeled "Direct link to image", that works.

Also, go see Serenity or Viga Axe will smite you...
