I thought I'd let everyone know, Scrap Control is still around - a rather old supergroup, I first saw mention of it on the boards back in June '04.
Its founder seems to have left for greener pastures, but the group has been inherited, and despite a membership slump, we'd like to see it revitalized. If you have any scrapper or controller alts that need a hope, we're a perfect place!
Since the last update in this thread (5/18/05), controllers have gotten Containment, which just improves any Scrapper/Controller combination. And all the other values and Scrapper/Controller teaming that makes this supergroup great are still there.

We are completely casual, don't care about pvp (doesn't mean we won't go once in a while.) While we want a base, not a priority at all.
I'm looking for an active VSG on Liberty for my level 40 stalker, plus maybe some friends from my now very inactive VSG. I am a casual, mature (ie. 46 yr. old) player who hates pling, farming, etc. I'll do pvp, but its not my 'thing', and none of my friends are that much into it either. I like doing missions, TFs, badge hunting, and teaming with a fun group of people, in general. My philosophy in the game (and in most things in life) is its not the destination, but the journey that is important. I also like helping lowbies/newbies, willing to malefactor/lackey if it means more participation.
One thing I'm not looking for is an SG that has coalitions with lots of other VSGs. I won't bore you with the reasons for this. Let's just say I've had bad experiences with people who invite every VSG and their grandmothers (and worse -- their racist, homophobic, immature, and obnoxious grandchildren), rendering the coalition channel equivalent to and as useless as the broadcast channel on a really bad day. Sorry for the rant...
BTW, I am an altaholic, but if this is a problem due to SG size limits, that's fine. I can keep my alts where they are.

Paragon City (RI) It had to happen. The forces of Arachnos have exploited a loophole in the Super Group Registration legislation and have registered a super group this afternoon in Atlas Park.
They had the audacity to name the group "Arachnos Invasion". The leader of record, Fortunata Smash, did not return calls for interviews in a timely fashion.
"After the infiltration of villain uniform technology from the Rogue Isles and into Paragon City, could the villains themselves have been far behind?", quoted Professor Pong, Chair of the Physics Department at Paragon Polythechnic and expert in super group legislation.
"Hopefully injunctions will be filed to prevent the legitimate registration of villain groups in the Paragon City hero registry", quotes Pong, "If this continues we are sliding down a slippery slope of evil."
Regardless of the morality of the new team of supers they have legally registered to operate inside of Paragon City.
