* Guild Description: Many long months ago, there was a tanker named Tina M. She was a avid and colorful member of a super group called the 7th Legion. Due to events outside her control, it came time to begin a career as a new heroine. On September 12th, 2004, The VelvetGoodnight was born. In that first day, she befriended an ice tanker named ICE-Transhuman. In that first day of attaining their first ten levels, a decision was announced by Velvet to begin a new Super Group.
On September 13th, 2004, she formed The Avant-Guards. Clad in their black and white, with their eagle insignia emblazoned on their uniforms, the AGs hit the streets in style, and rode a wave of growth into a long and colorful Super Group history.
In the time since then, Velvet has left the heroing and shepherding of this City of Heroes to her beloved Guards, and in her stead, left ICE in charge. For well over a year now, ICE has led The Avant-Guards. They have remained strong in comeraderie, loyalty and laughter while sharing a love for a great game.
For a long time, The Avant-Guards have been what I consider to be one of the "best kept secrets of Liberty Server". We keep that secret no longer. We are here, we are strong, and we are very good at what we do, and that is a great many things.
Our super group is not just about leveling, or PVP, or raids, or role playing or badging....our members pursue their own loves about this diverse game and culture. At the same time, we are allowed the priviledge of enjoying the company of mature fellow players of this game who have a deeply held respect for one another. We are artists, and poets, and programmers, and mathemeticians, and all other manner of walks of life. All are welcome regardless of age, or gender or sexual orientation or anything else. As long as someone plays to the best of his or her ability, does everything possible not to get other members of their teams killed, and are fun and respectful people to interact with, there is probably a place for them in The Avant-Guards. What matters are the bonds of friendship formed between people with a heroic spirit, who right the wrongs, and do it in style, even if it IS only pixels.
In the end, what is best about this game for The Avant-Guards are the human connections with fun people who enjoy the super hero genre.

The LEGION was formed shortly after release of the game (actually when Arclight and Drama hit level10). We started the group just as a way for us to continue to work with the 2 other founding members that we had been in-game with since day 1. Way back then it was Arclight, Drama, Vicki Vail, and Archangelo. Followed shortly thereafter by Cen, Sacred Dragon, and many more!
In late 2005, The LEGION changed in that for the first time 2 members were promoted to the rank of LEADER. Aeryn & Faith Jaimeson were elevated into those positions for their unending pursuit of bettering our SG. They have and continue to be instumental in the growth and culture of The LEGION.
Now in 2007 The LEGION continues to grow, change and adapt. 3 more prominent members have assumed the rank of LEADER to continue the path laid out, keep us moving forward, and to continue growing the culture of what The LEGION is. i-Bot, Hell Fira, and Energizing Ion are our newest additions. They embody what it is to be one of The LEGION.
We are well over 75 strong (and hundreds of toons) covering all archetypes and level ranges (including a lot of our alts). We have created The LEGION Reserve & Reserve II, a place for all of the alts that we play. We also have The LEGION Elite, a permanent stable for our level 50 toons. Our leadership structure contains (4) Leader/Founders, (4) Leaders, (1+) Captains and (11) Core Members. All of the Leadership is responsible for the daily operations of the SG and all recruiting. Since the release of CoV, we have maintained a strong presence in the Rogue Isles. Our VG is the Fallen LEGION. We have some of the highest level villains on the server, not to mention one of the largest and most impressive bases.
We are a mature group of gamers who enjoy teaming up with SG mates, helping out others in-game, and just looking for some real good, challenging brawls! (one can never have enough debt) We always have a very high in-game population and look to team with our SG mates first. We have become pretty picky in terms of membership requirements. Those are listed on the code of conduct page. If you can handle that then you have a good shot of runnin' with us!!
The LEGION is one of founding SGs in The Alliance. (A group of some of the premier SGs on the server that have banded together out of friendship and teaming) We are proud to be allied with: The Sisterhood, MDK, The Liberty Belles, and most recently, The Law Bringers.

Knights on Liberity (the sp was unintended, but it works...) is a SG for the casual player. We have Enhancement, Inspriation, and Salvage collectors available, as well as a medical unit and TPs to Atlas and Kings Row.
All ATs, Levels, and Origins are welcome.
The only Requriements are:
1) Play in SG mode as much as you can. There are no specific Prestiege requirments, just so long as you generate a some.
2) At least play with that character once a month ot so.
3) Keep an eye on you fellow Knights. If a request for assistance is made, assist them, if you can.
SG colors are Gold & White, but are not required to be worn for membership.
The website just came live recently, and Travlr is in the prosess of clearing out some of the players who haven't been on in a while. We're also in the process of improving the base to add another TP unit and upgrade the medical and workbench units.

Guild Background: Phantoms of Aden have been around for 2 1/2 years in Lineage 2 on the Sieghardt server, we were part of the Shadows of Aden Alliance, 3rd largest alliance on the server. Some of the core members and leaders came over to CoX to have a fresh start in an ever growing game. The SG's leader Anxxiety (aka Karandras) has been playing on and off CoH parallel to Lineage 2, and has a several high level toons on Liberty.
Guild Description: Phantoms of Aden new Supergroup on the Liberty Server. Were somewhat team-oriented, with taskforce and badge hunting nights, frequent missions, and trips to PvP zones. Wed love new members to join us in these activities, or just hang out and chat. Were looking for heroes that are active, willing (but never required) to team, and have a good sense of humor.
