who's standing at the podium in those photos?
are the barbarians wearing new boots or are those just the standard rough leather boots we already have?
do you think the fur on the upper arm of the female is part of the chest piece or do you think the fur is a new shoulder option? -

When there's a TA/DP on your team, you get wonder how anyone could handle all that redraw.

The best place to get tips Redside is in Sharkshead Isle
That island in the southeast corner is littered with solo spawning bosses. Bosses have a higher chance to drop a tip then Lts or minions. Just stick to the beaches and you can fill up on Tips in 2 trips around the island. That's 2 trips at most. -
Hopefully tomorrow after PAX I can post my [Staff Fighting] screenshots

Did you know people cried Doom all over the forums when the Devs said they were removing upper level TOs from the game?

When there's a blaster on your team, you get to work on your Rez badge.

While rolling up a new blaster on Beta I accidently brushed the scroll wheel on my mouse with my finger. To my astonishment the menu of pattern options for my tights started moving up and down.
The new Costume Creator allows you to use the Scroll wheel to navigate through costume options.
For a game so old, it was released before the scroll wheel was even invented, I have to say I'm impressed. -
Quote:I think you and BrandX are mixing up two different groups of "time cops". The Time Cops on Voyager were from the future and had time travel technology. The Time Cops Sisko deals with are nothing more then bureaucrats that worked for Star Fleet. The time cops Sisko deals with have no way to travel through time and correct the past.Oddly enough I just got done watching that episode a few weeks ago.
I got the impression that were able to discipline 'time travelers' if they ignored too many Starfleet regulations on time travel and such. Obviously, they overlooked Sisko shaking hands with Kirk, but if he went around trying to change history, then he' probably would of been court-martialed or something.
But then if Sisko did change history, and succeeded, then they would have never known, and Sisko could easily lie saying he didn't.. So who knows, the whole thing is obscure.
Well unless they want to break warp 10 by sling shotting around the sun. -

This makes me wish there was some sort of Netflix for comics.

Do you like that? I put Premuim and Proletariat together to describe a class of have nots. Now understand Premletariat does mean Prem. The Premletariat is a sub-class of the Prems.
The Premletariat is someone who bought this game, opened the box, played the free month and didn't come back. We don't need to worry about why they left, just understand they are coming back, and they are coming back in droves.
Now we need a cool witty name for everybody who is a Prem but not a Premletariat. The major difference between this sub-class and the Premletariat. The Premletariat can't use global chat, can't talk in broadcast..
If you're a Prem and you can use global chat, can talk in broadcast, can send tells your life is golden, it's nothing but unicorns and rainbows. Realize that any member of the Premletariat can lift themselves up and out of the horrible existence for the cost of $15. For the cost of a monthly subscription for the ruling VIP class will give that Premletariat 400 pts to spend, access to all the social tools this game offers, and the self pride of knowing they are better then the freeloaders and better then the Premletariat.
Now the Premletariat share so much with the Freeloaders. They can never advertise in Broadcast "hey, I'm looking for a team" they can't reply to the tell asking if they want to join a team. But they can join a Super Group, in fact they have all the tools they need to run a supergroup. They can invite other Premletariat to the SG, even promote them, design a supergroup outfit.
Now there's two "not so simple" things ViPs can do to make the Premletariat's life easier. a little less miserable. You can help them join a preexisting SG or you can help them start their own SG.
Both those options are going to require you to meet a Premletariat at some point. When you do and you want to help, you and your new Premletariat buddy head to atlas and you need to talk to the Supergroup Registar.
If you choose to help them join an already existing SG that registar will show you the top 100 SGs on your server. That list has issues, we don't need to go over here. In that list of a 100 SGs is a group of SGs that want new players. You are going to have to learn how to identify those SGs. I'll give you a clue, there are global names of SG leaders in the SG descriptions. If a SG leader is advertising their global name they want to here from you. You need to send a tell to that person, explaining the sitituation your Premletariat buddy is in. Let them know your buddies social standing.
Then your done, leave it to the people running the SGs to take your buddy under their wings. You've done your part to creat good community.
The other option is to let your Premletariat buddy pick a SG name and you create it for him, invite him. And then you're done, you've given that Premletariat the tools to help out other Premletariat, possibly build some good community, without ever bothering a ViP again. Just say good luck once in SG chat before you /sgleave.
TLDR version
Supergroups are refugee camps for a class of have-nots barely better then Freeloaders. You hate people if you don't support refugee camps.
PS If you don't have a second account and you've ever thought about having your own personal SG get the 1.99 deal. You'll have your own private Premletariat for life. -

Freeloaders can see tells sent to them and they can read Broadcast. They can't send to Broadcast and they can't send tells.
Quote:I chose to quote this point, but really I meant to quote everything you wrote...
You make no sense!
This is what Freeloader chat looks like, everything said in Braodcast the freeloaders can read. Every tell sent to them shows up, it doesn't magically disappear.
If you start up a Posi TF and in Broadcast say
Posi TF LF 7 Send Tell
and then you go stand at the Aution House, you're not being very Freeloader freindly.
If you start up a Posi TF and in Broadcast say
Posi TF starting up, send tell or meet me at Posi for an invite
and then go stand at Posi you are being Freeloader friendly.
My point is Freeloaders can use Broadcast to find teams if Prems and ViPs don't mind just a little more typing and don't mind standing in a certain place.
In closing I would like to point out that even though Freeloaders can not send a tell to any other player, they will still be able read any tells sent to them.
My point is if you send a tell before sending an invite you're not only
Freeloader Friendly
you're not only
Prem Freindly
you're not only
ViP Friendly
You are
Community Friendly -
Quote:There's a Freeloader on this screen but I can't find anything that identifies him as a Freeloader. It almost seems like the Freeloaders would have to use the Search Comments in some manner to stand out.I expect that Free players will be marked as such in Team Search, which will give me a good enough reason to be snobbish towards blind invites anyway. That said, I spend the bulk of my time in instances where I can't be invited anyway.
I wonder if Sam has ever even seen this screen? -
and I can't figure out how to get the new launcher to let me have two versions open at the same time.

I'm burnt I can't go to Serge and level up. All tailors should be trainers.

I love how the people in this thread who are so worried about the community and are so worried about the froobs (free + noobs, is that better) they want to throw the whole idea of using tells to recruit teams right out the window. You can still send a tell before you send an invite. There isn't going to be a single player of this game who won't get the tell. If a Prem or a ViP gets the tell they'll have a clue what the team invite is for, they can decide to accept or decline without having to fiqure out what the teams plan is from team chat. The froob will see your tell and be expecting an invite shortly.
"lvl 25 team, doing alingment mission in talos"
Send Invite
Thats going to work a lot better in I21 then just sitting at the team search window sending out invites to people who have no clue that an invite is coming their way. -
