You know, if I hadn't just spent $500 on two textbooks I'd be doing the exact same thing.

Damn, were they gold-plated or something?

They're probably some big science or chemistry textbooks. They (almost literally) charge an arm and a leg for those. I know they usually have small publishing runs and all, but I really do wish publishers would keep costs down a little more.

I remember buying a physics textbook for $100 and then having the campus bookstore offer me $10 for it at as a buyback the end of the semester. I laughed in the guys face and said I might as well keep it and look at it a few times for the rest of my life, as that was a better deal than the insult he was offering me.

For the OP, is there merit to having a new crisis again so soon? I haven't yet watched the series to the end, but it seems kind of lame to have a new huge crisis again so soon.

Considering a massive figurehead was just knocked down, and all of the cultures will have to change their ways and get along, I imagine there will still be quite a few people hostile towards the Fire Nation, and a lot of Fire Nation soldiers wanting to continue the war.

They've still got a lot of cleaning to do. Ozai wasn't the only bad guy in his Nation, he was just the one in charge.

I think I'll wait for all the volumes to be available in one fell swoop and then get them all.

I did that with the Lord Of The Rings trilogy... Never saw them in the theatres, got the The Fellowship's Special Edition 5 Disc set, then sat on it, got the other two, and spent the next 6 days watching the DVDs involved back-back-back-back-back-back, with all the extra 2 hours for each part

Epic. The way it had to be done, unless you had 15 hours to spend straight.

So it will be with this. All or nothing.

/I hate cliffhangers.

August 31, 2012. A Day that will Live in Infamy. Or Information. Possibly Influence. Well, Inf, anyway. Thank you, Paragon Studios, for what you did, and the enjoyment and camaraderie you brought.
This is houtex, aka Mike, signing off the forums. G'night all. - 10/26/2012
Well... perhaps I was premature about that whole 'signing off' thing... - 11-9-2012

This makes me wish there was some sort of Netflix for comics.

Half.com has textbooks.

Aw, my wish came true!

I was hoping that they could conclude the Airbender series in some way...

Such as explaining what happened to Zuko's mother, along with some other questions.

Hmm...I gotta see if they are making a show of this as well. Does anyone know?

And could it be possible for Aang to keep his hair for a little while longer?

No, they aren't They're focusing on making a show of the Legend of Korra. They're coming out with this comic to hype up the new show, establish some lore for it, and tie up a couple loose ends. Mostly just a way to keep fans occupied.

And Aang with hair is a no. He's a monk. He's bald.

Oh, I see. The Legend of Korra...now how many legends do we really need?

Anyway, this is something for me to check out. Let's see just how many loose ends this comic could tie up!

True, true, Aang is a monk, so being bald makes sense...BUT! Have you ever seen a monk with a single ponytail with the remaining head bald?

...

Then again, that is soo not Aang. So, bald he remains ^_^

Male Air Nomads have completely bald heads. Females do the part-bald/ponytail thing.

Ah, ok. Now I see. Thanks for the information.

Apologies, I was thinking about some of the monks in our world, particulary the Shaolin monks or something like that...

Anyway, let's not let hair details distract us from a potentially interesting comic ^_^

That was actually universal across China for a period of time - it was a symbol of subservience to the Manchus, who were in charge of China as the Qing dynasty from 1644 until the fall of Imperial China and the rise of the Republic. Shave the front of your head and wear it long in back, or face the death penalty.

I knew that the hairstyle was based on SOMETHING historic!

Thanks so much, Smersh!

Although death penalty for not shaving the front of the head is a tad awful...

It could be the hairstyles are part of airbending culture. After all the Air Nomads were unique in that were ALL airbenders, which is why the Fire Nation wiped them all out instead of cherrypicking the benders out like they did with the Southern Water Tribe.
