    Seriously

Its all in your head cuz Dark Melee has the same base acc as everything else. Unless maybe you are fighting stuff that has some highish -nrg or smashing def. If you have two acc IOs(useing the lvl 50 numbers here) fighting equal lvl mobs you need something with about 25% def before you arent capped with your tohit (75-25*1.848=92.4). With 2equal lvl SOs you need something with at least 20% def before you really notice any change (75-20*1.666=91.63).
I never noticed any trouble with my will/-nrg tank, and his hit rolls were still 95% most of the time too.
  4. Yeah, SD really really sucks until you get SOs in, its still not that great then either. My first brute was a fire/will and he stopped being awesome around the mid 20s, so I remade him as a Super Strength/willpower and that really never stopped being awesome.
But one of the best ways to make sure you keep up the awesomeness on a brute is by having your fury bar full; you will almost always kill stuff before it kills you. Not to mention you will actually have better end because you only need to use 2 or 3 power to kill something as opposed to 4-5.

    Anyway brutes are the best.
  5. Yep, its the rule of five, it works on all set bonuses, if you were to have 6 +1.88% HP set bonuses you could only get the effect of 5 of them. It really sucks when i comes to some of the more common sets bonuses.

    Exactly

Broad sword is just one of those power sets that would need major reworking to not be a bit OPed. Its like SS for scrapper, Rage+high base dmg...

    LOL

Its true, brurtes arent tanks. They are scrappers but better.
We don't need tank numbers cuz if your a good brute everything is dead before it can pose a threat anyway

Haha, relax im only joking. Ive seen WM/EA preform very well. Both when its been IOed and only SOed. So strong yes, but I'm not sure where the pretty came from though.

    The BEST Brute

There really isnt a 'best' brute.
However, SS/WP is really really nice (but RttC kinda sucks in PvP) It really depends on what you want to do.
SS/ is really one of the best sets for brutes (but i do find dark/ to be really fun) its dmg mitigation is just awesome, why I use Foot Stomp in a full mob my SS/WP regens about 15%-20% of his HP in the time it takes for mob to get back up. It even not all that bad in PvP either because you have really hi ST dmg and rage helps to make up for that fact that fury takes time build up.

In AE SS/fire can be a god. I made an all fire dmg mission and started farming it at lvl 6. When I got to lvl 16 (plasma shield) I could already already surive the aggro cap with bosses in there too. But outside of that mission he kinda sucks.

Anyway there is no 'best' brute, however WM/nrg isn't strong nor is it pretty :P

    SS/SD build

I'm a little worried about not having darkest night in there. Right now im farming an AE I run at +0/x8 No bosses so im at the aggro cap for about 4-6 minutes. In order to do that i end up using a bunch of insp. But if i ever PL someone or team not only are now 2-3 bosses, at least, on me but insp come in a lot slower. Anyways shouldn't I fit darkest night in there?

    SS/SD build

I've been lvling up an SS/SD to use as my latest and hopefully greatest farmer. He is at 48 now and ive been trying to find out what i want to do with my patron freespec. But i have been having trouble getting to the soft cap for everything thing and still having a build that looks playable. Anyway is this build any good? Any and all recommendations are great.

  12. As far as farming goes on my SS/WP I really started farming at about 45ish when AE came out (you can make a lot of money no matter the level with tickets). But I kind of 'farmed' as soon as got to St. Martial. I would get a freak mish and just keep doing that one mish until I lvle up

Now on my SS/SD on the other hand I started farming on AE as soon as I got to 40 (he needs insps to survive and the extra row helps make sure I always have them).
  13. I mostly farm AE for the tickets.
  14. Do you have the data chunk?
  15. ultrawatt

    VEATs and HEATs

I don't really know where else to put this but is anyone else rather pissed that just about anyone can get a EAT now?
There are called Epic or Prestige because it is a badge of honor just having one. I know when I was a newb I used to think it was so cool when someone had HEAT you had to earn it, you had to know what you are doing, you had to work to get it. Now just some dumb *** newb who spend a week getting to 20 can get one. It took me 8 months to get my 1st 50 blueside and I had been playing almost 2 years before I got a 50 redside.

Of course, as I type this I kind of feel bad for people who don’t get to feel the joy of getting their 1st 50 after putting in all that work and now getting to experience this cool new AT they just unlocked (if you are like me you would have been looking forward to it forever). So I guess they have been deprived of something.

I know this is just a rant but WTF? Why did they make this change?
  16. I know this is a bit off topic but is that nemi farm good or something? I've always thought nemi wouldn't be very good to farm.
  17. lol, yeah it is. I didnt buy them i got them from AE rolls after awhile (saved them up) since most of them arent for sale most of the time :/
  18. I recommend you put the FF +rech proc in foot stomp, I can’t remember if it’s on my mids build or not as I keep it off most of the time to see more accurate rech numbers. Anyway I have in there rather then a sirocco dam/end which I used to have. The FF +rech proc is pure awesome, in a full mob it goes off about 70% of the uses. So im running at a +200% rech buff about half of the time.
  19. As far as I know you can only have keep 10 enhancements that you could then sell. If you got several vetspecs or something and really need to cash I guess you might want to respec a few times.
  20. This is what I run with, made mostly to farm +1-0/x8 no bosses in AE (tickets tickets tickets w00t!)
Thinking about respecing to get fighting in there somewhere though as i dont really like the -KB in fences, love ball lightning though.

  21. thats odd, i cant seem to open the datalink it just says 'unable to read beyond the end of the stream' and then closes.
But from what i can tell Twilight made a very nice build.
  22. Its ALOT better then before.
My first question though is do you plan to farm?

Anyway at first glance you should put numi in health and not the genIO
2nd you dont need anything else in SB
3rd Fire Cages is way underslotted, move the stuff for SB to fire cages and put a rech and dam in it.
4rd put KB portection in ID (at least if you want to farm).
5th i personally dont get travels powers on a kin, i just get IR (its already perma) or use SP if there are critter close by.

Thats just what i can tell without going into sets too much
  23. I cant tell 100% what you got in there and stuff it would be nice to get a data chunk for mids or some kind of link.

Anyway you are over slotting for Def on WP you want to slot for +hp (i find the +1.88% the best one to get nice numbers and not way too pricey) and +regen. I cant tell if you have one or not but a regen tissue +regen is way nice you have.

Fast healing needs some kind of Numi not a Doc,
Also slot more rech in rage (I think, I cant tell your #'s) if you get perma not only do you get some overlap you also dont get the -def.

That's just some of the stuff I'll get back to you later.
  24. I would go with SS/WP if its your 1st brute, its pure awsome right out of the box. SS/SD is also one if my favorites even though its not as tough as WP without IOs. If you got the cash I so go with SD as its not too hard to get to the soft cap and you got a **** load of LotG spots, not the best end though

I find that elec does rather well even though it doesn't have any def, specially with energize now.
  25. The last thing you want to do with anything thing is six slot it, unless you mean an IO set, but still you REALLY want High regen. Not to mention AVs and stuff are really resistance to debuffs.
