Quote:I wont comment on any good corr combos because i suck with corrs.ok so thanks for the info now on to more direct ideas lol
i've been looking at afew AT's and just can't decide on what would work for the way i play
i'm interested in Brute,Corrupter,MM
currently playing a Thug/Trap MM but wondering if demon or bot is better those being say my top 3 picks for MM but i heard from a friend mercs are decent.
in the past i've only played fire/dark corrupter so was wondering if there was a couple other strong choices for soloing and abit of grouping.
But for a brute i would recommend claws or SS both are really quite awesome for lvl 1-50 and beyond. Claws rips things to shreds and gets its AoE really earlySS has really sweet dmg mit as well as good ST and AoE dps. Of course i dont know how much you will like the rage, some people hate but i for one love that power. For a secondary you really can’t go wrong (well I don’t really like stone that much). Willpower is really great for lvling up, and of course def based sets will suck before SOs. FA, as much as i love it is a ***** to lvl up until you get some -KB.
For MMs is rather simple:
[Sarcasm]Step 1: delete thug/trap
Step 2: dont make a merc
Step 3: make bot/dark or bot/trap
Step 4: become a god[/Sarcasm] -
Just barely doable? I sure hope you dont me it very difficult. I just messed around with mids and in 3min got a claws/EA softed capped to s/l/e/f/c without even finishing a build.
But yeah, what krom said. -
Imo, there is no such thing as the "strongest powerset." At most there a powersets that are best at a specific task, and can fall flat on their *** for some other tasks.
But here is my my opinion:
farming/killing mobs within a matter of seconds, SS/FA(/mu) brute
Solo damn near any task in the game: mind/fire dom
tank damn near anything: stone/dark tank (i like SD/dark better though, being able to actually kill things is fun)
Melt AVs/GMs: bot/trap(or dark), ive seen cold/sonic defs and sonic/cold corrs do epic **** before though.
But, like i said thats just my opinion.
I also think it’s important to note that enemy resistant generally doesn’t matter, the only time it REALLY matters is soloing AVs or something. -
Mu actually does better dmg that pyre for AoE. But i for one dont recommend using mu with SS unless you plan on farming most of the time because the -KB in fences is just a *****.
-
I would say with half RttC you would want to be at 80 hp/sec or so. But def is more important to /WP, surprisingly.
-
Quote:I also have to agree, Cold is just epic. Way better than anything a rad can do.
Edit: One thing that has always bothered me about traps is that a lot of it’s debuff pet things can get destroyed. But how bad is that really, specifically on an Apex and the like. -
Quote:Tactics is literally useless on an SS/FA. Your tohit will still be capped to 54s, i still have leadership (maneuvers, assault, veng) on my farming build though because veng is sweet when you PL someone. But you wont be able to farm 54s without using purple insp, or veng, no matter what.I will mention that, I would like to aim for a build that uses less inspirs, I dont use them much anyhow but if I have to, so be it. But, I noticed that others can farm lvl 54`s with no problem, my present build cannot. maybe because it has NO Temp Protection in begin with.
Also, I need to know just how important it is to have Leadership for the Tactics and LoTG 7.5 recharge mule slotÉ Is tactics I ust have for lvl 54`s (Question Mark) My keyboard wont key it in for some reason.
Also, this build appears to be both your farming and standard gameplay build, right? -
Wormhole does stun.
Otherwise im not sure this stuff can be done because of the cottage rule. Group Levitate sounds fun though -
Last week i did a 36 mintue LRSF, 4 or 5 deaths, to get my notice. That actually turned out to be the first LRSF i did not fail.
-
A brute instead of either :P
But i for one dont really care, they are both fine. -
I haven’t run into very many problems equipping my Aslot lately. In fact i have upgraded right in the middle of a mission and within seconds am able to equip the new upgraded Alpha, no 5 minute cool down or anything. But there have been plenty of time where it just WOULD NOT let me equip it until i zoned or something.
-
Actually the insp increases Tohit not accuracy, but yes thats how they work.

I hate to ask a question that might be a bit off topic but i recently tried to do a solo an ITF on my Mind/fire dom, i figured it might be good "practice" before I try an LRSF, but when i would kick the last filler the TF would disband and kick me as well. Is that supposed to happen? And if so, how do you get around this in order to solo a TF/SF?
-
-
You want to slot your attacks rather than your toggles. If you ever plan on running TFs there will be quite a few prolonged fights, like AVs, where you will be attacking for quite a while. If you don’t slot some end redux in your attacks there is no way you can do that.
Also, why would you NOT what to look into IO sets? -
Why?
Aren't active accounts going to be active anyway? -
Quote:Its also REALLY important that its SS/fire/mu or pyre imo. If you are only farming on an SS/fire/nothing you are stupid .really really stupid. Not sure why do you think SS/Fire is Burn alone. Why would anyone mention a primary if that was the case?
And he seems to be forgetting about FE, which can add up wards of 100 dmg to an attack. And the fact that not needing to make oranges means you can pop reds, my SS/fire/mu is generally at the dmg cap for attacks.
And another thing. Both LR and SC, the scrapper one, have only about 35% better AoE DPS (i.e. accounting for the target caps) than JUST foot stomp when you are running at the cap. And thats before taking into account FE. -
Quote:I actually always make sure i slot +3s just because that thing is so annoying. It would be nice if you could at least turn it off.Thought of a new one last night.
When combining enhancements, make the "Success" animation about 90% shorter. Yes, its very pretty, and I'm sure some intern worked very hard on it, but when I got 30 more slots to work through, it is nothing more than a speed bump. -
There is no stamina that costs 3 powers, ie like the old one, ingame. only the inherent one
-
In a damage aura procs only have a chance to go off once every 10 seconds. So they will almost never result in great increases in dmg.
Edit:
To be more specific. brute lighting field
With all 4 dmg procs you can slot into it and 0% fury you end up with 16.18 DPA
With 3 dmg SOs and 0% fury you get 16.26 DPA -
I dont really think its that important considering your attacks alone taunt fine. But yes, you will want it eventually as it does a suprising amount of DPS.
