"Decreased Brute Damage Cap from 850% to 775%."
source
The old dmg cap ment that a brute at the cap would out dmg a scrapper at the cap. That is no longer the case. -
If you dont plan on getting IOs then nerve (partial core revamp is what i would get) would be a good choice.
-
Fire sucks for the low lvls, unless you want to go into AE, as it has no -KB and is quite squishy. As awesome as healing flames is in the end game you need to get it well slotted with +heal and +rech before its really very useful.
-
Quote:No, there dmg cap is 775% That 675% you see ingame doesnt count your 100% base. And Im prett sure you count the 100% base when you multiply dmg.Ultrawatt, first off I wasn't being a dick to you, but you should try taking advice instead of trying to put people down. Brute's dmg cap is 675%, there base dmg is 100% of that. so you can only do 575% more.
Sorry if i sounded like an *** though didnt mean to. -
Quote:Um, pretty sure its 7.75. Not sure where you got 5.75575% of 60(FS) is 345. I think the data your writing down doesn't include fighting lvl 54s. Only level 50s.
575% of 133(LR) is 764.
Only thing I don't know is the numbers of how much res each level you go up has.
And with a lvl shift you do 65% dmg to +4s
But yes, its actually 297 dmg v 54s -
Interesting, Foot stomp does about about 350 dmg to for 54s when at the cap.
Im still trying to find some solid info on LRs dmg. -
Quote:Yep, i believe it was stated by a dev thats how it works too. Just like Shield charge.u sure about that? Never seen different numbers since I've been farming/PvE with it. over 300 hours on it.
Edit: i would also like to mention that the AoE dmg of thunderstrike is only half the dmg mids gives it. It's base is roughly 58 smashing dmg and 58 nrg dmg. However, only your target get smashing and nrg everything else only takes nrg dmg
AND i would like to mention SC and LR dont attack ALL targets in range. They cap at 16 targets. -
Quote:I actually had it stack on my dom once. At least i got 2 icon (which we all know can’t be trusted) but it was of course too quick for me to check numbers.According to what I could find, it doesn't stack from the same caster.
Of course, it would still go off more often because it’s an AoE. Unless that was ever changed.
I don’t think they should merge range/melee or the AoEs
The thing i like about them being separate is that it makes slotting ranged and slotting melee toons a completely different game. You have to learn how to do each one separately. Plus, both would gain very very very little from this imo. Melee toons can now go from 0 to 45% ranged def now very easily, yay? -

Soft capping all positionals is amazing. Do it and you will reach a level of awesome you will have never imagined. You will be a nigh-unkillable god among men. The pinnicle of survivability in the CoX unverse. Unkillability incarnate. The...well you get the picture.
Even though you are a stalker. -
A Fire tank does really great with a kin, speed boost buffs sooo many of your powers and FS helps Fiery embrace. You 2 will be able to dish out insane amounts of damage.

I laugh at the idea of farming on DM/ and its pathetic AoE, STdps is WORTHLESS when it comes to good farming.
However, can we please stop posting in this thread? There is already one for stuff just like this. Infact it's still on the first page. -
Quote:Not too supprised by the results, if you are using follow up that is.Also, preliminary results on the comparison of claws/fa with elec/brute shows claws lacking GREATLY vs elec. I went ahead and pl'ed an elec/fa, even without mu he doubles the inf/sec of my claws(which is currently at 36 mil/hour) clocking in at 74 mil/hour. I will have more detailed numbers once I get them both with an IO set comparable to my SS/FA/Mu brute and I get the elec/fa mu.
What attack chains are you using for elec and claws? -
Quote:I actually really enjoy lvling up SS that was what i was going to recommend, as long as you like rage. Its not that the other primaries I left out are all bad, in fact Super Strength is probably one of the best available to Brutes. The ones I left out are just not primaries I would recommend to someone just coming back for example, SS while amazing at L50 is not a very enjoyable ride TO 50 in my opinion.
It has really good mitigation without the awful awful end cost of stone melee. I also think it lvls up very well because rage helps you put off slotting acc (and dmg) into your attacks. So you can focus on end redux and rech.
Now it will be light on AoE until 32 but it isnt really until then that you need to start killing huge numbers of enemies in order to see your xp bar move.
I also would recommend willpower as secondary. -
I personally like Ill/cold more. Has a bit more -res and much better end from heat loss that AM can offer. BUT ill/cold needs more +rech and a greater investment to surpass /rad. whereas a lot of /rad's powers come in the form of toggles. Of course there is LR which does need a bit of +rech to get perma but benumb needs A LOT more +rech to get perma. And if you do use infrigidate (i don’t blame you if you don’t that power sucks) you can put a -res proc in there and its possibly going to go off a lot more than /rad could.

To my knowladge CoH/CoV are the "same" game now if you own one you own the other. So its know as CoX. GR is not its own game its just an expantion, so i think you would need to buy either CoH or CoV for it to do anything. Anyway, there are Co-op zones where Heroes and villians can team together and sutff. You will also run into villians that have turned good and vice versa. But "true" villains are stuck in the Rouge Isles and "true" Hero stuck in the Paragon City. But they can still visit the Co-op zones and actually go to Praetoria.
Paragon Wiki has an insane amount of info on most everything. Just type in an archtype and they likely have a decent guide on it, as well as their stats etc. There is also Red Tomax it has a lot of real hardcode data on power, it can get a bit technical at times. I actually use mids to find out numbers on powers, I dont know if that link includes the newest version though.
I don't think there are any costume options that are only for a hero or only for a villian. There are however some costume pieces that you have to unlock. And there are Epic archetypes or "ATs."
Welcome to the game
Oh, and Guardian is the best server (thats a joke people dont worry) :P -
Yeah, NEVER 6 slot purple sets. The dmg purple is a complete waste of money.

I have to disagree that you give up too much to get to the s/l soft cap. It is VERY easy to get about 60% +rech and still get at the soft cap, after this point the DR gets really really noticeable. Really the only tough thing to get is good end, but like you said cardiac fixes that.
And low acc in kin combat? Here is what i want you to do, go into mids, set your base tohit down to 39% (which is what you get with +4s) you may find that all of your attacks are still at the tohit cap.
However, i myself have actually noticed that A LOT of people run leadership now. So ive been wondering if its not best to get to the s/l soft cap but to get somewhat close to the soft cap for both s/l as well as e/n (if thats even possible) -
I'd take a slot of out CJ or maneuvers, put that into KoB, and then move one of the 42s into gloom
-
Quote:Actually a power doesnt start recharging until an animation is done. Just figured i should mention that.well i have pretty good rech hay is at 2,899s (8) KO 9s (25) stomp 7s(20-perma) and my other attacks that are none slotted such as jab is at 0.86s (2) lol by the time the animation is done it will be recharged so i rlly wont be waiting around on my moves to rech

I have seen plenty of missions made for elec armor. Don’t know any of the IDs.
And yes, /FA might only excel at one type of mission but it gains inf and tix/min (tix/min is where the money is at but people don’t like to test that it seems) much greater than anything can really come close to. And that’s ALL that matter, the amount of inf you get versus the time you put in.
How many farmers (before the days of AE) run more than one mission anyway? That’s actually kind of the point, imo, the more you run one mish the faster you get at it. You can often double or even triple your original speed without any kind of build change. -
Not really. You slot for way too much def, 3 def IO slots in CJ wtf? You gain less than 1% def from all of those slots. Overall id lose some of that that def, 47%ish is fine and get more +rech, end, hp etc.
You want 2 HO membrane exposures in Active defense.
And I would get grant cover, rather than energy torrent likely, the DDR is nice and your team will love you for it.
Not to mention the shield wall and pan proc are both pretty much worthless and not worth it in anyway shape or form, but if you want to spend the inf go for it I guess. Well, pan is nice but just not 1bil+ nice. -
Quote:Nope he is right, even a stalker in hide that hasnt done anything will get aggro and mobs will camp around something that is already dead. You clearly have no idea how to run this map properly. No one but the killer should ever die.
And, it would be THESE maps.
Also to the OP just like SinisterDirge said you being dead could give the farmer veng (which is awesome btw) thats about all a support toon can do. They simply can't surive without a ton of orange and purple insp.
