For example my TA/A is Marcus Taldari. Marcus I picked because he's magic origin and for some reason I associate the name Marcus with wizards (I'm not sure why actually) and partly as a homage to Marcus from B5. Taldari I made up to sounds somewhat mystical (it's probably a subconscious variation on something from somewhere).

My Warshade Is Blackhawk Quasar. Black because he's a Warshade and therefore a reformed evil guy by default, Hawk because I like using birds of prey in my names. Quasar because most Kheldian names seem to have a reference to astronomical bodies. But mostly I strung together different words along this general theme until I had something I liked

As for Adeon Hawkwood (my blaster), well I've been using that name for my main character in games for a long time.
I've done similar things. I have a Scrapper named Rowan Wingblade. Rowan is the name of an elf a friend of mine RP'ed as. His last name is Wing, because he has wings, and blade, because he fights with a sword.

I have a Warshade named Lilliana Draz. I scanned through my brother's Magic cards and conbined two names together (Lilliana Vess and Guul Draz Vampire).

I've used the name Bengrim (no, it has nothing to do with a certain Marvel character) for years in various games, but it was taken when I tried to make him here, so I added "the Bold" onto it.
  2. I'm one of the people who changes or removes letters from their names, but only if I can't think of an alternative. For example, I was going to wait for GR to make Captain Blackstar, but decided to go ahead and whip up a nameholder. The name was taken, so I dropped a c and got Captain Blakstar.

I rarely use numbers for letters (or l33tsp3ak, if you prefer) but occasionally I will. T3h N1nj4 Fr34k is a prime example.

Now sometimes I'll go to misspell my character name and the misspelling is already taken too. I went through:

    Chaotic Deam
    Kaotic Dream
    Chaos's Dream
    Kaos's Dream
    Chaotic Vision
    Kaotic Vision

Then finally got on Chaos's Vision.
  3. I have way too many characters to list them all, but I'll put a few.

Da Krusha - Neutral Evil. He doesn't want to be a villain. He lost his memory and Arachnos claims they'll help him regain it if he works for them. Once GR comes out, he'll see through the facade and switch sides becoming Neutral Good.

Break Stuff - Chaotic Evil. He hurts people just for the heck of it. He's not in it for anything except an excuse to kill and maim. If you want to hurt people, why not become a villain-for-hire and get paid to do it?

Yellow Chaos - Chaotic Good. He's a trained assassin and is always on the verge of crossing the line.

Robotic Pirate Ghost - True Neutral. He claims to be a villain, but is in Arachnos simply for a chance to go toe to toe with Captain Mako.

Ben Blitz - Lawful Good. He simply became a hero because he wanted to use his powers to help people. He would never even think about breaking the law.

I got all the 40K weapon pics from here. It was the first site that popped up when I typed "Ork Shoota" into Google images, so I just used pictures from that site for the other 40K weapons and saved myself a bit of time. I failed to notice that all the pics were from 2001.
  5. I'd really like a choosable permanent Halloween costume power. The Halloween costumes are a lot of fun and having one permanently would be great.
  6. Darkness Guns

    Space Marine Bolter

    Space Marie Bolt Pistol

    Ork Shoota

    Ork Slugga

    Silenced 10mm Pistol

    Scoped .44 Magnum

    Sawed-Off Shotgun

    10mm SMG

Since you said it needs to fire lots of bullets, how about the Patriot and its 100 round magazine?

Vincent's Death Penalty from Dirge of Cerberus

I do believe that's enogh google-fu for one day.
  7. I really want more animal costumes. Birds and bulls/minotaurs would be nice.

I'd also like some Freakshow robotic arms and the ability to use robotic arms with sleeveless jackets, robes, and trenchcoats.
  8. I love the new booster. Ninja Run alone was worth the $10, but I'll get plenty of use out the costume parts too.

After using Ninja Run with the Freakshow Tank halloween cosume, I got an idea for a new character. He's T3h N1nj4 Fr34k, a MA/Regen Scrapper.
  9. After getting the Ninja Booster, I noticed a bug on one of my lowbies.

He uses the normal male model and has wings, the Chinese Dao sword, and a shield.

With no weapons out he jumps normally.
With either the sword or shield out he jumps normally.

With both the sword and shield out he starts the jump animation, then reverts to the running animation in mid-air.
  10. I only got to test for about 20 minutes and missed the new portion of the event. I did however open a few presents and found a bug.

The Winter Horde that spawned from the present I opened completely ignored me. They would just wander around the general area and never attacked at all. I Brawled one half to death and got no reaction other than for it to turn around and crouch-walk away.

I'm not sure if anyone else experienced this, but it should be fixed since it's exploitable.

I really hope they don't force teaming on a "grey" character. I prefer to play solo (though I'll team occasionally) and I for one hope that "grey" characters can get their own contacts on the other side.

Right now, there are contacts that work with both heroes and villains (DJ Zero, RWZ contacts, Mercedes Sheldon, and some of the Cimerora contacts) so I don't see why some hero or villain contacts wouldn't be willing to work with redeeming villains or falling heroes.

  14. Making my ninjas dance in a circle around Arbiter Hayes is strictly forbidden.

Yelling "Moo! I'm a cow! Moo!" while within earshot of an Arbiter will result in psychic evaluations.

Black Scorpion is not Iron Man, Iron Monger, War Machine, or Steel and does not like being called those names.

Putting a heater next to Ice Mistral while she's sleeping will result in being frozen for a few days.

Stealing the Radio from Port Oakes and putting it next to the Televison so they can "duke it out" is not funny.

The Golden Roller does not enjoy having his hub caps stolen

Pushing other Archnos personel off the catwalks in Grandville is grounds for a demotion, even if it was really funny.

Deathsurge is not the 10,000 Volt Ghost form Scooby-Doo.

  16. Most of my characters will be staying where they are, though a few will switch it up.

I haven't unlocked Khelds yet (only 2 more levels!) but I'm planning on whipping up one of each and making the WS a hero and having the PB switch sides and become a villain.

My Dual Pistols character (obviously not made yet) is going to be a rogue, playing both sides to get to his eventual goal: a one-on-one showdown with Captain Mako.

Da Krusha, my Energy/Energy Brute, will become a hero. He was the victim of a science experiment and doesn't know anything about himself or who did it to him. Arachnos claims that if he helps them, they'll help him figure out who he is. He eventually discovers that they were lying to him. They used him, got what they wanted from him, then dropped him like a sack of potatoes. He starts fighting against Arachnos, and discovers that the heroes of Paragon City will help him discover himself and help him change back into the man he once was.

Some more may switch as well, but I haven't worked out all the details yet.
  17. Like others have said, just remake the character.

It's not that hard to relevel a low level character. I've done this several times. Heck I've even deleted low level characters because I'm not happy with their costume and don't feel like walking to a tailor.

Same rate for crones. At that level, it's hard to survive the werewolves, much less the boss level characters.
Yeah, the bosses are spawning a bit too much. Last night I had 3 Crones in a row followed by 2 Vampire Lords. Highly annoying.
  19. I'm not sure if this is the right place for this, but it seems like it.

I've noticed a couple of bugs with some of the Halloween costume powers. Both were with Yellow Chaos, my Katana/SR Scrapper on Liberty, with Focused Fighting and Focused Senses active.

    1) The Coralax Minon costume seems to have no flying forward animation. When flying forward with my Raptor Pack, the Coralax model runs through the air. This may be by design, since Coralax have no flight powers.

    2) The Malta Gunslinger and Malta Operative costumes don't replace your character model like the others do. It adds a second model over top of you current one. When I put on either costume on, my cape, part of my robe, and part of my pants can can clearly be seen with the Malta costumes. This does not occour with any other costumes. I'll try to get a screen shot of it the next time I play.

    A suggestion

I had this happen a lot with my MM on his way to 50. Squishy AT + entrance full of Arachnos attacking before I fully load = bad. I finally got around it by entering missions with Shadow Fall active.
  21. 1) The ability to link spawns together. This would allow you to have a boss guard a glowie by spawning in front of it, or have two bosses spawn together.

    2) The ability to have mixed groups of enemies fighting through emotes, instead of really damaging each other. Example: In a mission invloving Carnies and Malta, you can find one Carnie and one Malta slugging it out with another Carnie or Malta cheering their buddy on.
  22. "Get the News Out!" is annoying, but doable. I managed it on my Ninjas/Dark MM by saving one generator, then fighting Silver Mantis and saving the reporter.

I beat the ten minute timed mission from Tina McIntyre by Superspeeding through the mission. I beat it with about 10 seconds left on the clock.

I managed to save Lady Jane once with my Invul/SS Tank.

I did the stop 30 Fir Bolg mission solo with my Katana/SR Scrapper by getting extremely lucky.

Hardest mission I've run into is the one from Sister Airlia where you have to rescue Ghost Widow. A Ballista and about 25 assorted Longbow Lieutenents and Minions vs Boss class GW and a MM. Not pretty.

Yeah, I noticed that myself and completely fogort to mention it.

That is, almost every animation is different for shield characters. Not radically so, but they are. Because of changes needed in arm angle to look right, a lot of things had to be re-scripted. There's also a lot of animations that didn't get done, try a bunch of emotes with your shield on. many of them won't work.
Wow. I never really noticed this. I'll have to pay more attention to my /Shield characters. I gotta say that I'm highly impressed by this. I never knew that implementing Shield Defense was that much work.
  24. I decided to make a Stone/Shield Brute the other night. I picked Stone Mallet and level 2, and imediately noticed that the animation was different. Instead of the two handed overhead smash, he did a one handed attack. Then I picked Heavy Mallet at 4 and that animation was different too.

My question is, are there any other powers with different animations for /Shield characters?

Yeah, once I realized how short his arc was, I just went back and plowed through it real quick. It was kinda funny being able to kill Nocturne in one hit.
