  1. lol, this is a LEGACY build, I never said do this... I said use it as a model... This build may have wasted 3 powers (because it was never updated) but I can bet it would out farm the super expensive build you put together
  2. If this is a farming toon you went about it completely the wrong way...

First off, in my humble opinion a farming build should not be something that should break your bank to build...it just needs to get the job done. Also you should just be simply hitting the s/l softcap (45%) def (take earth mastery) and then only farm against baddies that have s/l attacks (like BM or an AE). Of course you are going to get destroyed by a fire farm...that stuff is meant for brutes/tanks/scrappers with capped fire resistance, not trollers.

A few tips on the build though,
6 Slotting purple sets is pointless, that 6th bonus is completely useless to you
Slot siphon speed for rech and acc, that is what is going to give you large rech bonuses
When you take earth mastery, slot the Force-Feedback proc in it
Drop the stealth pool and take the fighting pool

Below is a build that I found on the forums long ago (to whomever made this I have forgotten your name but the credit is yours not mine). I modified this build a little bit for myself but this is a good cheap and effective build to start from.

  4. You don't have perma-hasten because that force-feedback proc isn't going to be going off all the time, plus the fact that you slotted that set into one of your best attacks is pretty much ludicrous.

Neither of your builds can run the FU>Focus>Slash chain gapless.

I don't like that you have only 2 attacks until you are level 24 and leaving 2 rather good attacks until 32 and 47. You shouldn't be 5 slotting Gift of the Ancients, that last bonus is useless. You don't need an end reducer in combat jumping its already a low end usage power. You don't need to slot the steadfast KB protection. For evasion you should probably slot one more red fortune, why go for 4 slots and not the 5th for the 5% rech bonus?
  5. Yea I agree, good luck on the STF solo. I had a fun enough time duoing it on my DM/SD although now with the 4 new incarnate slots the chances of doing it successfully have increased
  6. The link worked for me

  7. I had a claw/sr but has since been retired (dm/sd is just too fun)

As for all of your questions it really depends on what you are wanting
IIRC (please correct me if I'm wrong) the best DPS chains for claws are:
    Follow Up>Focus>Slash
(I think there is another here)
    Follow Up>Focus>Slash>Strike

If you are looking to get to that top chain /Sr and quickness will help you out but with the new trials /Sr is looking less and less awesome (but somebody feel free to correct me about /Sr's performance in the trials)

In my opinion Claws can pretty much be paired with anything and rock your socks off (except maybe regen with the redraw) so it comes down to more of what would you enjoy playing and how much you are willing to invest in it. Invuln and WP are solid choices and with the right amount of inf pretty much anything can be made to survive.

As for incarnate slots I would say you would have to find out what power sets you would like to take and then build around that to fill your weaknesses.

For Slash 5 Crushing Impacts for the Rech bonus and the Achilles' Heel Proc seem to be pretty standard slotting (at least on an /Sr), but for any secondary its a nice place for that proc.

For Follow Up, its a good attack and buffs your dmg so you pretty much want to max out its dmg/rech/acc (I might not recommend the build up proc as its only a 5% chance for a tiny burst but if you like it then keep it)

For Focus in a thread awhile back when I was building my claw/sr I had an extra slot in focus for a proc after 5 pieces of Armageddon (all but dmg) and Werner did his maths and told me that I would get more mileage from slotting the Explosive Strike Dmg Proc (IIRC)

    Hope this helps!
  8. I am certainly no math person but with all damage procs I see 3 problems

Recharge - If you had more recharge in the power could you run a higher dps chain?
Endo - Yea your blue bar will probably hate you
    Most Importantly
Accuracy - With no accuracy in a power you are going to have a fun time either building for acc bonuses or watching the attack wiff on harder opponents
  9. A few things I see with the most recent build you posted

    1. Your Endo sucks...bad. You are netting 1.36 eps recovery which is nowhere near enough to be able to solo for a long period of time.

    2. Your accuracy in LR sucks, you are sitting at 47% vs +4s

    3. May I ask why you are so intent on getting to the s/l softcap too? You have gimped your build pretty bad in the process imo. Why not just hover blast and use the range def you already have built for? I do that for my rad/sonic and he pretty much never dies
  10. I think you are right Werner that we don't get demonic but Eye of the Magus is the same thing blueside iirc. I was just referring to Shadow Meld being attainable by blueside toons.

Which Blue Side can get too by running tips and switching sides
  12. Could you also not just put your T3 Oranges in Glee-mail and claim them once you get to the AV fight and everywhere else carry your purples/greens/blues?
  13. For SD vs +4s without tactics running you are at 79.56% with tactics you are well over 95%
  14. I took amplify partly because I like the little dmg buff but mostly because I can put the GSFC set in there heading toward the range soft cap.

As for CC I skipped it because it goes completely against my builds strengths. I have hover and use my ranged defense (43%) to my advantage along with my high resists (70% S/L)
  15. A travel power for Kinetics, nah... not if they have siphon speed.

    On other characters... depends

If you are doing MO runs having no travel power sucks, i tried on on my claw/sr at one point and just couldn't do it. Its ok if you have somebody to teleport you but at some points everybody will speed off to the next objective. Sure you could have a kin to SB you but I personally don't like having to rely on another person.

I could see somebody not taking somebody because they don't have a travel power tbh, especially on MO or speed runs.

Also don't the two new trials (lambda and BAF) exclude temp powers?

IIRC the FF proc will not work in Shield Charge because it is a psuedo-pet
  17. Well it really depends, I'm quite sure that the T4 spiritual would NOT get you enough to get to be able to run Follow Up> Focus > Slash. I'm pretty sure you can still run Follow Up>Focus>Slash>Strike so recharge may not be the best bet here.

I don't think you would need the cardiac alpha, but that would depend on you and if you feel strain on your blue bar

As for Nerve with Follow Up as part of your attack chain and FA I don't think you need much acc, vs +4s your attacks are all around 70% but that doesnt account for follow up or FA. You could take it for the defense bonus and use that to play around with slots but idk if you want to do that since its already IO'd.

Musculature might be the way to go then, you get more dmg out of it and if you like soloing AVs it would aid in that.

Also just a small critique of your build:
You don't need that much ranged defense, you could get rid of one of the Red Fortune sets and slot something else like LotGs, also because you are over the rule of 5 for 5% rech bonuses. So those slots arent doing much for you imo.
  18. There is only one explanation for all of this.... Iggy is Charlie Sheen. Only a man with Tiger's Blood can win this much.

You are quite correct sir, at least when it comes to my build.

    Duo STF

    Dear Fellow Scrappers,

Today I completed a Duo STF on my DM/SD with @Sparky Jenkins on his Fire/Cold Corr

First Mission: No problems, hardly a challenge.

Second Mission: Same thing, killed all AVs no deaths no problems

Third Mission: Stealthed to the end and took down the Vines, we had a few respawn but it was manageable and took down the tree with no issues

Fourth Mission: Key was found on first chief (awesome) and went and took down Barracuda. Then Wretch was next and had one death due to mapserve (the squishy). Silver Mantis and Ice Mistral went down without any problems afterward. Aeon also went down without any problems.

Final Mission: We tried to pull them one at a time but ended up getting both Scirocco and Ghost Widow at the same time followed by Black Scorpion. We ended up wiping and reset everything. Tried to pull again and still got GW and Scir but took down Scir first with no deaths. Black Scorpion joined the party while we took out GW. Once she was down we took down Black Scorpion and killed Mr. Mako where he stood.

After that we went and took out the Flier and cleared around. Finally we started LR, and lets just say we got wrecked to begin with. After many wipes we finally took down the Red and started the Blue where we wiped. We decided to regroup and get insp to continue only to come back to find the Red back up (damn repairmen). We proceed to take it down again and eventually succeed. Next we took down Blue followed by Yellow and Green complete with trips for insps and taking down the Flier when it spawned.

Once all the Towers were down LR went down like a sack of potatoes, no issues.

    Completion time: 3:51
Temps used: Mystic Fortune, Secondary Mutation, Recovery Serum, Wedding Band, Kinetic Dampener, Call To Justice

  23. 1. You are 6 slotting purple sets when there is absolutely no need to, only 5 purps are necessary that last bonus is pretty worthless

    2. You have gone over the rule of 5 for 10% rech bonuses, you have 6 purple sets slotted

    3. You plan on purchasing a glad armor unique yet you didnt build for any defenses at all

    4. If this is supposed to be a farming build you are going in the wrong direction, a farming build is something that doesn't break your break, my fire/kin and fire/MM blaster have no purples and they farm just fine.

    5. Just because you put tons of expensive IOs into a build doesnt make it elite.

So in conclusion if you are planning on farming only with this toon I would suggest you build for fire defense because I would like to assume you are going to run a fire dmg only AE farm and if not you need to build for S/L def or melee
  24. Im confused, either my mids is messed up or you aren't soft capped to anything, if mids is right then I have to ask

You spent all that inf but didn't even softcap the toon?

    4 slots in hasten?
  25. If YOU build it they will come
