Quote:I agree with this. Picking up end red/recharges/accuracy from sets like slows, debuffs and such make it a lot cheaper than only buying the typed attacks ones.(snips)
The trick is, don't be picky. Don't worry about going for the triples if all that are for sale are duals. If you get too many dam/rech and not enough dam/end, suck it up for a few levels and search again. Keep an eye out for the unusual sets, like Acc/End or Acc/Rech from a def debuff set slotted into an attack if you can't find enough accuracy in a melee or ranged set for sale at the level you want.

Quote:So very much agree about the queue system. Need more people to be more successful, nt just mininal number and go.(snips)
3) If you let the LFG Queue tool build your teams, it launches you in with a random team of 9 people which might not have any tanks, might not have any debuffs, might not have any buffs. And even if they do everything right, I'm not convinced that a randomly generated team of 9 people can finish that final stage. Also, no matter who checks what radio buttons in the LFG window, it stops adding people at 9, period, so if you are light on something or other, you will never get it.

C) The queue tool needs to take all the people who volunteer to join a raid in progress and keep adding them until the raid is full. -
Quote:Every costume/booster pack has "popularly requested costume" pieces. It doesnt sell as well when the hype states "hardly ever requested"CoX gets better and better...
Downtime for i20 patch, Vanguard loyalty pack and a little news of the next booster pack...

Quote:Thats nice. I wish I had your speedy net connection.I was completely updated and patched in four minutes. It used to take 45 minutes to just verify my files. I much prefer the new updater.
A predownload option wouldnt make it any slower for you though, and be nice for those with crap net connections. -

I wish the classic team option really worked for keeping the look of the old team window.
I expect I'll get used to it - like the UI on market house, but still feels bleh yuck to me atm. -
Quote:Zombie is not a red name.It didn't help that Zombie kind of implied that it was WAI and a bonus.
I'm at 75 months so I'd have six character slots from vet rewards and two from GR (I think it was two right?). That would add up to the eight it gave me to redeem (seven now that I tried to redeem one). -

Quote:The user has been punished for not haing a legit copy of Windows.(snip)
In this case here the user has been punished with having access to the game cut off by a non-available software update, access that would not have been cut off if NCSoft had used any other development-framework or API to make their new launcher (e.g. Java, QT, Ruby on Rails).

I do feel for casual player, its a chunk of cash to come up with quickily.
You can buy Windows XP legity, http://www.google.com/search?&q=buying+windows+xp got me http://www.amazon.com/Microsoft-Wind.../dp/B00022PTRU
I'd hassle MS as according to http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/w...ne/system-scan you still should be able to upgrade from dodgy copy to legit via the WGA if not the website shop.
Anyhow best of luck with it. -
Quote:Well we can turn XP off now.I think they once did give a 2XP weekend as a reward for server outage, and players complained about leveling too fast, and missing out on content.
The complaint sounds like chinese whispers from someone joking about complaining about everything. -
I find Supergroup storage tocome in handy for these low level IOs. I drop in them in there to be frankenslotted by alts or others.

Quote:You only have one global. Its the same across the servers.Actually, there is a way to have more NA "collisions" than EU; there are more NA servers than EU servers. You (currently) can have the same global on multiple NA servers without interfering with each other. But, depending how the EU merger worked, a potential EU user could match against multiple NA across more than one server.
If the NA server layout doesn't change during this merger, then the EU "newcomer" to the NA set wouldn't cause a 1 to 1 collision until after they'd chosen a specific server to merge into.
Now, if this is also changing the NA server lineup, there's going to be collisions between NA server folks as well as the EU ones...
You can have a character with the same name as your global across servers, but that doesnt mean you have a global name for each server.
My guess at the numbers being affected is that there are more inactive EU accounts than inactive NA accounts. Therefore less active accounts get affected by the merge doing it the way they are.
I'm also guessing that they can't easily or safely work with inactive/active as fields. -
Mildly amusing, better than no joke.

The purchase email has the subject of: "Thank you for your purchase from the NCsoft Store"
Followed by an email with the subject of: "NCsoft Serial Code Applied"
The second email body is always the same (expected as an automated system):
Details hidden, of course. This is the one with the full code. -
It is a shame. And thinking of procs, yeah, I'm sure I would of put some of them in if it could really take them.
-
I'm aiming on getting the party pack when I get the vanguard oack, so will pay close attention to what I get sent then.
But I do have a gmail, and dont delete emails, so things like the code for animal pack should show up if sent. -
Quote:My experience differs.Since late 2009, they send a confirming email with the full code after you apply it. Oh, and I do have all my CoH Boxes that are tied to my account.
I've only gotten a thank you for the purchase note, with order number and a This code was applied to the City of Heroes / City of Villains account xxx without a code displayed.
I wonder if this is an option in account settings or somethng. As above, I've never gotten two emails, with one with having the entire code. -
Quote:I'll have to look at it tonight ingame.Agreed on the fear+confuse combo, but unfortunately mind control's terrify has absolutely no debuff. It's a common mistake, though, to confuse mind's "terrify" with dark miasma's "fearsome stare" which does debuff. Both are cone fears, but the mind control version deals psy damage instead. (The debuffing dark cone fear does no damage at all.)
Paragonwiki states it has to hit debuff, and Mids shows it accepting tohit debuff enhancements though city of data doesnt, so no doubt you're right. -
Quote:I so want to do that now.The panacea works with the spirit tree as seen here.
It's one of the few powers I would actually slot with the proc. -
If you get to permadom status, mass confuse is up a lot :/ I mass confuse one mob, total dom the next, and often ready to mass confuse again for next.
Mass hypnosis is quite good when solo. You can sleep a whole group, and take them out one by one. Or mass sleep a group, and confuse thier buffer - I love doing this with rikti guardians. Sleep a whole bunch, confuse, get a bunch of AM or shields as they wake up.
Terror is great. Has a to hit debuff, so it is doing something even with AoE teams.
Solo confuse and terror work well, you snap them out to strike at a friend.
I've never felt like gimped blaster on teams with my mind dom. I help the stream roll happen. It is permadom though but for mind its not that pricey to do so.
