Yeah but the you are basing this on WARBURG, where you have all your powers. My corruptor does better there as I have my debuffs too. And we were working as a team.

A telling difference between good stalkers and the many many wannabees who claim pvp godhood is simply who stays the moment an empath comes into the zone, 70% of the stalkers in SC will clear out in the 1st 5 mins. A stalker which relies on purely hide+stealth and AS isnt much of a pvper imo.

In the last few days there seems to be a tank renaissance in SC as they have outnumbered all other alts and there havent been many scrappers on at all.

It all comes down to the fact that we see varied ATs on the hero side far more than the villain side which is nigh on always 80% stalkers " - Stalkobot

Sorry Stalk but I disagree.
Maybe on Union they are mainly stalkers, I wouldnt know, but on Defiant, I dont often see stalkers now.

On Defiant the figures are the other way around, hardly any stakers and mainly scrappers on the hero side of late.

I think scrappers are actually killing PvP, in Sirens at least.

I was on a team the other night, we worked together, there were double the villains to heroes, about 8 to 4, but because they were all scrappers we got owned over and over so everyone left through boredom in the end.

I asked a friend last night what it was like to see if worth going in and got told that the scrappers had taken over again so it was pointless.

They are way too powerful, specially the spines, and I cant see how it can be much fun for them either as they are just picking up easy kills all the time. They all have superjump which isnt as easy to lockdown as flight, so they bounce about all the time.

They need to either cut the range of their ranged attack, or make it non-minus fly, possibly make some powers minus SJ to even it up a bit too.

Or maybe, just maybe, people could try making something other than scrappers for a change or is that too much like hard work?

The worst thing is, that then you get some people getting all vocal and saying they rock and own the zone, when in fact it isnt that they are good at pvp, its the build they have picked.

Just wanted to say a big thanks to all in Sirens last night.

I had a whale of a time, even though it was hard going sometimes.

At first the villains overwhelmed the heroes, so I swapped sides and fun was had by all.

The only thing I would say is that perhaps it was too much fun as it was nearly 4am when I left,lol.

It was also good to have PVP without people slagging each other off and just enjoying it, so thanks again to all who were there.

I must admit it was real good fun.

At one point all I could see was a sea of orange heroes,lol it was like that bit in Starship Troopers in the compound.

But it soon evened up more and we had a blast.

Why exactly is this thread even here?

Its a pointless moan, its like saying, Oh I dont like it that healers have heals, stalkers have AS, ice trollers can hold you in ice etc.

Its one of an ATs powers. So it holds you, so what? You cant be attacked while youre in it so its not the end of the world, I could understand it if folk could hit you while you were held.

As it is, the game appears to be catering for close up fighters already too much, is it really right that you should moan about every other ATs powers to be nerfed, cos who exactly would you fight then? PVP zones would be just full of scrappers and stalkers.

As it is, for some stalkers and scrappers, you have a bad time getting something to hit anyway.

Sorry but it just looks like moaning for moanings sake as sonic cages dont actually do anything other than hold you and take you out of the game for a short period. So does a block of ice, maybe you can break free but you can also take damage with that.

Why not put all your efforts into actually playing rather than whinging over absolutely nothing.

I feel sorry for the guy who has made this post. He has gone into PVP to try it out and basically met a bunch of [removed].

If they are being held, so what? I ahve learnt in my short time of PVPing that people use tactics fair or unfair to get kills, so if you can get one, thats touhg on them. You cant always check out if someone is being held by an npc.

As for the second guy who was "standing around watching a fight", well he is the lame one. PVP zones are for PVPing. There is an arena for duels or watching them, so go use it. I really hate folk who moan about being hit when they are having a duel or watching a fight cos thats not what the zone is there for.

Carry on and enjoy yourself, not everyone is like this in PVP and if they are, there is always "ignore".

I personally dont mind tp foe too much, as even when it happens, you have a chance to survive, and I have even killed the other person who thought they were invulnerable.

When I hate it, is when you get a group of either villains or heroes who gangbang you as they are too cowardly to fight you properly. 6 to 1 or something like that isnt good pvp its just proving how crap you really are.

Its a shame people like this are there. We are always told to petition if it happens but whats the point if its ignored?

We played last night and after killing somone, my friend got a private tell calling her a right [censored], just cos they didnt expect to get killed by a corruptor.

If its on broadcast, a lot of the time I accept that its smackdown talk, but to PM someone with it, thats when it gets nasty.

Having said that, as above, most of the time folk are really good and you can have a lot of fun and luckily this sort of thing is rare.

I have just got to 40 with my fire/thermal corruptor and after the next 10 levels, after I7 finally comes out, I will then be looking at PVP.

I gave it a try with my friend, sonic/sonic, and teamed up, admittedly when zone was quite quiet, we didnt do too bad.

The problem is....when I eventually respec, what would you suggest?

Unfotunately, with the exception of Melt Armour and the exhaust one, all my secondaries are buffs for others and 2 heals. What should I respec out and consider getting instead from the pools?

I already have flight and fitness, will probably ditch tp other and get maybe stealth or even superspeed for getaways.

Any suggestions?

I have an Nrg/Nrg blapper and I am having a whale of a time. I know people all have favourites but I just like the way they feel powerful, and the secondaries rock, specially the toggle dropper, followed by a quick stun.

Although I have been playing for ages, I have never really got into PVP.

I got Zhaan, my main nrg/nrg blaster to 50 and thought....now what? So after checking out the boards, I respecced her into a blapper, not that much change from what she was, but I hadnt really known about blapping before.

Having tried pvp a couple of times and died a lot, I thought okay I will try again, as Oona, my flatmate is always in there. And guess what?......I love it!!

I also tried out Chakyra, my fire/thermal in Sirens last night, and with a bit of teamwork, actually did quite well with her too.

Sure sometimes the balance is squiffy, too many of one side or other or 200 stalkers on the map,lol but it is good fun and I wish I had tried earlier.

The main reason for my post is that I wanted to show that I used to hate pvp but if u give it a chance and go in to have fun, it is well worth it.

BTW She was a botanist working with some rare specimens from the rainforests, when she was accidentally injected with chlorofil from them. Her condition deteriorated, turning her skin etc plantlike and the only way to keep her alive was to inject liquid nitrogen into her veins. She survived but found she had 2 new powers.

I have just made a plant/ice dominator and wondered if anyone else had tried it and what your thoughts are on it. Originally I hade plant/thorns, but thought a) this is prob too popular a combination and b) it was too much like spines scrappers.

Anyone have any advice on what I should and shouldnt take as I am only 3 at the moment and dont want to do her all wrong.

Well if he cast confuse and it backfired, he deserved his debt. You cant expect to do stuff like that, which personally I find unfair in pvp as to me pvp is playing against each other, not stuff like this or tping into drones etc.

But to have a go after his actions caused his death is a bit childish. Were you on when the schoolkids were on? Or was it just an immature adult?

Hehe give me a match against someone who enjoys pvp for what it is supposed to be rather than these pratts with nothing better to do than try to get people debt.

My flatmate was gonna join it too, but as her main character is still "logging in", u guys will have to go without a controller as I dont hold out hope that support are likely to fix it yet.

But even when it puts you where transporter goes, its not worth it.

I had a hard mission the other night and it kept dumping me further away from the mission, twice as far, as the hospital was. Why even bother with one when this happens?
