Base hospital dumps in middle of nowhere
I'd like an answer on this as well....it actually made bases worth bothering with...now its just pointless...

Agreed. I'd also like a response.
The only reason for a hospital is during raids. But that's a bit far fetched. Most people would like it for the ability to get back into the mission fast.
In PVP zones it puts you back where you died or right outside the mission you died in
In hazard zones it puts you back in the same place as the base teleporter.

But even when it puts you where transporter goes, its not worth it.
I had a hard mission the other night and it kept dumping me further away from the mission, twice as far, as the hospital was. Why even bother with one when this happens?

Have to agree, the only reason I see getting one for SG's who are not into PvP and base raiding is the fact that it spawns you back to the start of the mission, or even into your base so then you at least have a choice.
Had a mission in PI the other night, mission location was in one of the portals, clicked on return to base because I thought it would be quicker, I ended up at the statue at the very bottom of PI

Ouch. The only use I see is in the hazard zones, where a trip to the hospital means a trip to and through another zone.
Still fairly limited, but useful on the odd occassion.

Well, it's not really useful then, is it? I mean... what's the point, if you can rez at the hospital, get full HP/END, and end up as close or closer to the mission in which you died.
I believe that rezing at bases is intended to teleport you to the mission entrance when you exit the base... Thats certaintly how it used to be anyway, I was assuming the recent tping me to the very south of PI (base entrance is the north) was a bug...

That would depend on the location of the portal, the hospital and the mission door, now wouldn't it?
that said, I do believe that a lot about the bases is still bugged. Being send to the South statue in PI sounds like a bug, because the portal is up there near Portal Corp.
I've only used the base hospital twice (because it got replaced by teleporters), on the same mission, and it dropped me in the same location as the teleporter does.

I originally tried to promote the usefulness of the base hospital. The fact that for a reduction in hp and end ment that you didn't have a huge trip ahead of you. Now they are pretty much useless. You res with 25% hp and end and still have a trip to get back to the mission.

Yep... Not at the base portal. I had the impression that it's mostly in the middle of the map, but I could be very wrong here.
I think a solution to this would be some kind of 'Mission Teleporter', with the ability to teleport you to the mish you have selected. Of course, to keep the devs happy, it would cost an insane amount of prestige .

OK, this is still bugged and usually teleporting me to random locations and not back to the mission door.
However, I did the eden trial the other day. Died and tpd to my base and got teleported to the spire door...

This is expected and "fixed" behaviour for the hospital teleport. It's also why any base I design now will not have a medical bay until it is at PvP level - there's no point otherwise.
Shame - I loved the "feature" in beta, and made a med bay make sense for PvE as well.
I agree with you all. I used a teleporter and it dropped me off on the other side of the map with enemies higher levels than me

When you use the base to rez you get put at the standard teleport point for that area. It used to drop you at the enterance of the mission. According to a GM I have spoke to this is WAI. Makes an infirmary sort of pointless.
What has happened to the base hospitals?
Originally, if u died, went to base then left the base, it planted you at the mission door.
Now you come out in the right zone but 9 times out of 10 you are further away than if you went to the hospital.
Is this a bug or was the original a bug and "fixed"?
If this is the case then it makes having base hospitals somewhat pointless as you might as well go to hosiptal. As we have a relatively small SG and have no interest in base raids, the only workables we have really are the crafting tables, though have made all we need, a teleporter and the hospital. Surely it should be worth having and not pointless.
