Base hospital dumps in middle of nowhere

Infirmary is only good for PvP Base Raids as it provides a rez point inside the base.

And we all know how hard it is to make a PvP worth base...

Conclusion: base hospitals are useless for the avarage SG.

When you use the base to rez you get put at the standard teleport point for that area. It used to drop you at the enterance of the mission. According to a GM I have spoke to this is WAI. Makes an infirmary sort of pointless.

Well thats rubbish then.

Sod "working as intended" The teleporting back to mision was much more useful!
Can anyone think of a reason not to have it working like that?

While their fixing that they could also allow you to have beacons in all zones and allow you to teleport to your base from all zones as well.

Last time I used it it actually DID take me back to the last place I'd been in the zone, although I died inside the zone so that might've been the reason.

Which zone was that Max? It seems to be working like it did for PvP zones (PvP missions included).

Also, I did some pondering, trying to figure out a way WHY the developers might have changed it to the way it's working now, and here's what I came up with:

Imagine you're traveling a zone with some nasty mobs all around you. Something happens, and you die (let's skip WHAT happened there, shall we?). So your body ends up surrounded by a lot of mobs you have no chance to take on, and most likely won't be able to run away from. And then let's assume the base doesnt have a teleporter. So you're stuck ressurecting back at that spot.

There's a flaw to this way of thinking though: you can always rez at the zones hospital.

Apart from the above, I haven't been able to think of anything better.

OK, I was actually expecting a CoV zone.

Anyway, I did some checking. A quick note though: I have NOT played CoH, I do not know the zones, I do not know how they work with bases.

Anyway, some people reported that the hospital works for "hazard" zones (and Hollows IS a hazard zone, or at least that's what I read)... I assumed "hazard zones" were PvP zones, as I never saw the CoV SG hospitals work for anything else in CoV. But... it seems CoH has a lot more zones to play in than CoV.

Hazard zones are areas with level requirements that usually encompass a trial in them somewhere after completing the story arc for the area, as opposed to standard city zones which usually have a trainer etc. They exist in CoV too but aren't labelled hazard zones since the Rogue Isles obviously don't conform to Paragon City's way of doing things, the "Hazard Zones" are behind guarded checkpoints that leave "Paragon City Protected" areas. PvP zones are entirely seperate, it's just not too clear since the same naming conventions don't neccesarily carry across between the two games, along with other stuff like the community information terminals.

Edit: Incidentally, in CoV you can teleport to non-hazard zone locations without issue, places like Mercy Island and Port Oakes for example. The equivalent areas in CoH you cannot add as teleport locations, only the hazard zones, so it's a little less useful for heroes than it is villains.
