Yep, count me in...Khorrighan, stone/stone tanker.
Was on the taunt team in the last raid....happy to be in it again.
-
Hey mate, how ya doin?
Teamed with you a fair few times as Winters Soul my lvl21 Ice/Storm troller. First TF I'd recommend is the Synapse TF, it's level range is 15 to 19 so you'd be auto-exemped to 19 but it is an absolute darling of a task force.
Failing that, the Moonfire TF in Striga is also a very good TF intro with the advantage of having less travelling than most others cos it takes place entirely in Striga.
Contact me on @khorrighan if you need any help, my SG usually has at least a few people available and eager to do TF's. If I'm on I may well join you -
*sniff* Noooooooo Mumsy why you going why why whyyyyyyyyyy *sniff* NOOOOOOOOO buaaaaaaaaaaaaahahahahaaaaaa *sniff*
Don't be a stranger now *sniff* and remember MoX loves you.
*goes off to have a good cry in a corner somewhere* -

Was great fun to be in and as much fun to watch. Yes I have been above lvl 5. I have a lvl 21 Tanker on defiant thts my real character. Im not usually tht bad at navigation but with no map and no idea where i was going uit didnt help.
Still I probably had more fun the way it went anyway. Thanks again for the help and reviving me every 2 secs.
. Thanks for making the video and I will cherish my wooden spoon forever.

It's persistent sportsmanship in the face of overwhelming force that really makes events like this worthwhile. You may well have come last by quite some margin but there are people out there who would have just quit...you didn't quit which makes you a winner of a different sort in my book. Kudos to you my friend....Kudos.Going off on a tangent!!...I thought the Teamspeak recording at the end was a nice touch and the benny hill music was genius!!!!
-
Maybe the confuses have magnitudes just like holds....
-
Aye Lad, we did our best...and it was a good laugh watching the tanks do the "stand up lie down" dance!!! never burned through 10 awakens in such a short time before!!!
Count me in for any future raidsI'm gonna go accolade hunting I think....
-
I think that a new approach might be to use Kinetics more...
Continue with the troller holds but have a couple of squads of kinetics hitting Hami with Siphon Speed and Transference.
Another idea I had was to use mass confusion on a bunch of swarms....and then set them on Hami. I reckon slows will work on him but they will need to be amassed like hold magnitudes and Swarms can very quickly reduce a toon to a statue....
Anyway, even though we had to concede defeat I still had a great time. Thanks to Babel for attempting to herd cats and thanks to the taunt team for such amusing company during the raid.I'll finish the babble now
-
Flibble!!
All I can say is keep an eye on the forums and if you have any ideas for an event you'd like to see run...PM me or post it up on here and we'll take a look at it. (credit will be given if we use an idea!! I'm not out to steal)
-
Some final editing and tweaking has been taking place and we are just in the process of sorting out hosting for the file. I'm also gonna organise a post with some piccies on it when I have a bit of spare time, crazy busy at work and home at the moment!!!
Look out for a thread created by Durin Danark and hopefully a news item on the website (though thats by no means certain.)
-
You could do worse than give MoX a try, check us out at www.mox.eu.com. You can contact me by PM or in game on @khorrighan for more info....we have all of what you're looking for, I swear some of our members never log off!!!
We got active forums and TeamSpeak etc... anyway, I'll leave you to your deliberating.have fun whatever you choose.

I couldn't check the exact distance but I 'think' it may be possible to recall friend to Coward's Hill.
[/ QUOTE ]
This indeed is very much possibleSomeone that manages to reach Coward's Hill can TP anyone from the hive gate. Prob is, some people are confused to what Coward's Hill actually is, so make sure you get TPed to the right spot
[/ QUOTE ]
Where is Cowards hill? I could wander over there well in advance of the raid and tp everyone to a clear spot. The GM's aren't really a problem with Granite on as long as I keep moving.Had a look on the Vidiot maps but nothing is clear on there
EDIT: I'm stood on top of a spire to the south of Hamidon, a little further to the south of me is a small patch of grass which is isolated from the rest by spires and a cliff...is this bit Cowards Hill? If not, it could still make a good staging ground... -
Deserved congratulations go to Mothers Love who won quite convincingly despite plummeting to almost certain doooooom in the gulch.
This does however leave her in the position of having to give herself 2million Inf in prize money!!!
Attendance was severely hit buy the badly timed server problem but we still went ahead after waiting as long as we could for any more who could make it.
Theres gonna be a movie made of the race and the cameramen tell me they have some good footage and screenies of the race so I won't bother with lengthy commentary
The runners and the order in which they finished are listed below. Kudos to Calcifer who went down into the Gulch and had a hell of a time getting back out...he didn't give up though...he might have finished last but it was a determined gritty last that got him a little bonus prize.
1) Mothers love
2) Clockwork golem
3) MegaBabe
4) Roadrunner
5) Brown Streak
6) Dazzling occurence
7) Superspeedy dragon
8) Defiant streak
9) Dodga'
10) Gumball Gulchrunner
11) Calcifer
Hopefully everyone who took part had fun and enjoyed it? I certainly had fun organising it...which sounds strange to me even as I type it!!!
Finally, a BIG BIG thanks to those who took part, to those who helped me Marshall the race, to Bridger for all of his help and to those who helped me to test the concept. I absolutely could not have done this without you....and a big fat I'm Sorry to those who couldn't get online cos of the server problems.
COMING SOON....THE SECOND MOX GUMBALL RALLY: THE RACE TO PI. -
Yeah, very unfortunate and utterly bad timing...BAD SERVER NO BISCUIT!
I will be organising another race of a similar ilk sometime soon though and I would love it if those who missed out this time joined us for that.
I'll announce the result in the morning.... sympathies to those who couldn't log on. -

Unfortunately, you are too late. Very sorry. I refer you to the opening post for this thread...

Since the response to the posting on the main website was so significant I've decided, in the name of fun, to accept ALL potential runners as competitors in this race providing they signed before I started typing this message (about 9.30am). The FINAL FINAL FINAL list of runners is below.
[/ QUOTE ]
You're more than welcome to come along and race the runners though...and we will be doing similar events to this in the future -
Unfortunately for you, Kinslayer is quite correct. This race is for level 5 toons ONLY. Level 4 is not enough...level 6 is too much.
EDIT: just re-read your post a few times just to make sure...I get what you mean now!!! LOL. As long as you do not level up I will allow you to race BUT you will have a 5 second starting penalty to compensate for your higher combat level. -

Thanks a lot for putting me in guys

FOR THOSE WHO MAY NOT HAVE READ THEM, THE RULES ARE HERE
The Rules Summary.
1. Level 5 toons only.
2. No Kheldians.
3. No Speed buffs or Personal Forcefields
4. Stop and wait if you get spammed with a speed buff.
5. The spirit of the rules applies above the word of the rules.
6. This is a test of skill, not a test of how well you can cheat or exploit the rules.
7. The Judges decision is final.
The Rules in Detail
1. Contestants can enter with Level 5 characters only. Kheldians are not permitted. Siphon Speed or any other type of speed buff (Run excluded) are not permitted. Personal Forcefield is not permitted. All contestants must enter The Hollows via Atlas Park. The prompt before team teleport option must be disabled.
2. Contestants must join the Gumball Rally SG for at least the duration of the race. Leaving the SG constitutes withdrawing from the race.
3. During the race all contestants must be a member of a MoX led team. This is to allow us to keep track of player positions and to prevent the use of Recall friend. Leaving the team constitutes withdrawing from the race.
4. Each contestant, upon reaching a checkpoint must speak to the MoX Marshall at that checkpoint(see rule 8). The MoX Marshall will then Promote the contestant to the next rank in the Gumball SG. The contestant must not proceed until he has been promoted.
5. Anyone caught cheating in any way will be kicked from their team by the MoX Marshall. Cheating is construed as using ANY other power apart from inherent run and jump powers to gain an unfair advantage. Being the unwilling recipient of a speed buff by a non-competitor is excluded from this providing that the competitor halts immediately and advises his team leader. A time penalty will be exacted sufficient to counter any advantage that would have been gained via the buff.
6. Should a competitor be defeated by a nearby mob he has three options. He can either wait for the MoX Marshall/MoX Nursey to clear the area of mobs and dispense an awaken OR be teleported back to his last checkpoint and be awakened OR should the Marshall/Nursey responding have the ability to resurrect or revive you with full hits and endurance he/she will offer the choice, a 20 second penalty will be applied to compensate for the stunned period suffered when using awakens. Anyone going to hospital in Skyway will be kicked from their team.
7. Temporary powers gained from the Arena or any other source are not permitted. Any use of such powers will result in the offender being kicked from the team.
8. Communication with the Checkpoint Marshalls should be in the form of a tell executed by either a target based bind/macro or by right clicking on the marshall and selecting chat. Tells received by contestants that the Marshall is unable to see will be taken as cheating and rule 5 will be applied. The message need only be Promote me! or something similar.
9. The Spirit of the Rules will apply ABOVE the Word of the Rules. The Judges decisions are final.
__________________________________________________ ______________________________
A few final clarifications...
You can use any of your own powers such as armours or self-buffs prividing that they do not give you an unfair advantage over other runners. Basically anything with a +speed component (except for sprint/run etc) or a massive defense boost like PFF.
Inspirations are also useable at will and powers can be slotted as you see fit (I foresee a lot of 5 slotted runs!!!).
Nursies will be on hand to pick you up but there is nothing stoppping you from picking yourself up.
If you get spammed with a power STOP as soon as it is safe for you to do so and advise your team marshall. If you don't stop it will be construed as cheating and you WILL be kicked.
We have 24 runners now so the race will be run in 3 heats with 4 players in two teams per heat followed by a heat winner race for the prize.
BE IN THE HOLLOWS AT ABOUT 7.30-7.45 SO I CAN GET EVERYONE SORTED.
May the most skillful runner win. -

Do we have a final list of runners

Working on it right now -
Don't be so hasty Ryu, given that Bridger has just posted the event on the main website I am considering re-opening signups...
IF YOU WANT IN ON THIS RACE POST HERE BEFORE 8PM TONIGHT. If you have posted before this message then assume that you have been accepted as a late entrant. -
Awakens and break frees it is then SAH! /salute

Mothers Love: Mothers Love (the mini version!)
The time is almost upon us. Thanks to Mothers Love for boosting the prize fund up to 5 MILLION INF as well as a Hami-O and a unique Official Forum Title..
Some final bits of info and words of encouragement.
Meet in the caged area just by the entrance to the Hollows from Atlas. I will be there with my toon Plinge Myrmidon MTF. Send me a tell letting me know who you are and I will invite you into the Gumball SG. We then have an uninterruptable means of communication (to say the least).
Once I have all 16 runners I will choose half of you at random (I'm literally gonna pick a bit of paper out of a bag!!) to run in the first heat. you will be split into two teams of 4 and be invited by one of my marshalls to join a team.
Then we race. If you have a problem, approach your team marshall first using the team channel. If you get mullered and need a pick-up use the SG channel and a nursey will come pick you up ASAP.
There will be ONE winner from the first heat. The second Heat will then race in the same format. There will be ONE winner in the second Heat.
The winners of the two heats will then race mano et mano on the same team and the winner will take AAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!
May the most skillful runner win. Remember, this is supposed to be fun. Please don't cheat as that will make it much less fun for you when you get kicked from the race. I have eyes EVERYWHERE!!!
...should be a good laugh if nothing else -
Yeah, self heals are absolutely fine as Jummy said
I'll add you to the list
