I have just made a plant/ice dominator and wondered if anyone else had tried it and what your thoughts are on it. Originally I hade plant/thorns, but thought a) this is prob too popular a combination and b) it was too much like spines scrappers.

Anyone have any advice on what I should and shouldnt take as I am only 3 at the moment and dont want to do her all wrong.

For Ice to get best effect you want melee, plant tends to do well at range....... that said almost any combo can work in this game........

They're now putting it all together.

Yeah, most combos do work, but I mean.... Plant Ice... hmm... the Back story is...? An abominable snowman that also liked to bungee jump into Fly Traps?

Nope he was in a terrible accident with a packet of frozen peas

On the plant side, I'd skip the single target immoblise and the tree of life (a regen buff is not that usefull)
Seeds of confusion and carrion creapers are going to be your 2 most used powers, with the AoE Immoblise being great when used in conjunction with confusion.

Don't use Roots, the AoE immoblise on it's own as it attacts agro like no other power, but with that bit of damage a confused group will still give you xp even if you leave them to kill eachother.

The vines of carrion creapers are classed as pets so it's a great opening attack & alpha strike absorber.

For /Ice I'd focus on the single target attacks esp the melee ones and don't forget to take the power boost.
With that and domination you should be a vicious boss killer.

I've found the hard levels are the teens to eairly tweenties but it does get eaiser after that.
And don't worry if you have 3 debt badges by level 20 that's part of being a dom

i completely disagree with your tree of life a 400% regen rate on all the area is god send, no matter how crazy you go in domination mode, your tree of life shud be nearby healing the damage u take 4 times faster than normal... now any of you doms out there that say that increasing your own regen rate while u domiation on is bad?

Hehe Thanks guys

Wont worry about the debt badges, Zhaan, Chianna and Chakyra have all done their bit for keeping the Paragon and Rogue NHS going.

BTW She was a botanist working with some rare specimens from the rainforests, when she was accidentally injected with chlorofil from them. Her condition deteriorated, turning her skin etc plantlike and the only way to keep her alive was to inject liquid nitrogen into her veins. She survived but found she had 2 new powers.

Hehe Oh well, I liked it,lol

I have a Plant/Ice on Defiant, not got her past level 10 yet though so I can't offer any real advice - I've focused on the melee attacks from Ice so far though, which seems to work well.

I have a plant/ice dom. He's called Lord Winter. He's all about winteryness. See?

As for advice, at first I was absolutely disgusted with the weakness of vines - short hold time, poor accuracy, massive recharge time, but then I slotted it for duration, and combined it with Power Boost, Domination and a yellow inspiration, and dear lord was that effective. I mean, REALLY effective.

That said, the most effective tactic I've found so far is to open with seeds of confusion, and when they inevitably try to melee attack each other and get in close together, smack down an ice sword circle power. Then pick the rest off at your leisure. Job done. Try not to cackle maniacly.
