unfortunately there are some utter tools CoV and on CoH on defiant. Too bad petition doesnt help. These are isolated cases dont let this bring you down

You should always expect a certain amount of banter, even bad banter cuz it happens quite often actually. People get to worked up sometimes on defiant. Don't know how it is on union so won't comment on that. You can choose to ignore the foolish few and have a great time with the others that are there for the fun and challenge or you can join the foolish few...

Its a shame people like this are there. We are always told to petition if it happens but whats the point if its ignored?
We played last night and after killing somone, my friend got a private tell calling her a right [censored], just cos they didnt expect to get killed by a corruptor.
If its on broadcast, a lot of the time I accept that its smackdown talk, but to PM someone with it, thats when it gets nasty.
Having said that, as above, most of the time folk are really good and you can have a lot of fun and luckily this sort of thing is rare.

although i don't PvP that much when i do a love it, so i would give Defiant another go. Yes u do do get the odd person who takes PvP to far and can only beat u by swearing but that get them no where. Just best to blank them a remeber when he/she hit the floor
unfortunately theres alot of idiots on defiant in the pvp zones and alot of people take an active standpoint in chat to try and safeguard other peoples enjoyment of the game and to try and form some kind of game ethics which some people just do not have.
But it seems more idiots join defiant everyday with big egos and something to prove and think they are all this and that in pvp, personaly i pvp for abit of fun now and then but it seems pvp is all there is in life to certain people.
I'd avoid them at all times if possible.

Thanks for all the replies. I dont really let broadcast chat effect me but I was tired last night and what annoyed me most was the player putting down someone else who was not even around to defend himself.
Unfortunatly no time now to play for a bit but look forward to more fun on Defiant.
P.S. Yay, I saw you in SC as Stryka! Erm... well over broadcast at least . Was being very quiet there and was compleatly outclassed with my scrapper, Ploppy Son of Ploppy.
I just want to speak up for the idiots on Union, our idiots are at least as annoying as Defiant's. I wouldn't want Defiant to get all big-headed about their low standards of smacktalk/swearing. Union idiots ftw.
Guess Ive just been lucky on Union (unless I am one of the idiots that is ).
Ive always found people there, including yourself, very polite on the whole.
P.S. What is happening with so many villains popping up in SC these days and actually teaming and using tactics? Its really good that its happening but just wondering if its some new evil scheme to take over the world... or summit.

Meaning the team with the MM that I fought which ended in a double KO because he popped his head over a wall and I was too slow to except the TP friend .
It really isnt fair though its making it so we heroes are having to start to work as a team

Hi there,
Usually play on Union but after talking to some folk from Defiant I decided to see what the action was like on this side.
Yesterday I had a great time in BB (playing a hero) with a defender who had never done any PvP before.
Today I went into SC and it was more or less relaxed, I did get it handed to me as I was only level 20 and there was one funny hero on who seemed to have it in for everyone but not knowing the people on I took it all as friendlty banter.
Anyway... went into BB to end the night and hopping about I saw a brute and a corrupter on a roof top. Decided to try me luck, (cor 1st, then brute).
Turned out it was a group consisting of no less then a stalker, corruptor, an MM and a brute.
Well skipping merrily along I killed the MM and corrupter countless times and the brute once, didnt kill the stalker and got killed twice myself.
All good, well they were not, but its only a game so what does it matter.
However after a while the stalker decides to go off on one. Claims to know all the figures for the game, though she got them wrong and then decides to accuse me of being a completely different person and insults all and sundry.
Ok, very long post, my question is though is it just some poor players that are letting Defiant down or is it really not worth bothering with PvP here?
I am not totally bitter as I have had some fun but I would like to know if this is what one should expect, it really isnt at all like this on Union.
