Fire/Thermal for PVP?

I have just got to 40 with my fire/thermal corruptor and after the next 10 levels, after I7 finally comes out, I will then be looking at PVP.

I gave it a try with my friend, sonic/sonic, and teamed up, admittedly when zone was quite quiet, we didnt do too bad.

The problem is....when I eventually respec, what would you suggest?

Unfotunately, with the exception of Melt Armour and the exhaust one, all my secondaries are buffs for others and 2 heals. What should I respec out and consider getting instead from the pools?

I already have flight and fitness, will probably ditch tp other and get maybe stealth or even superspeed for getaways.

Any suggestions?

Ah ha! Villains need more buff types

For PvP you want some kind of unsupressed movement. Hurdle+combat jump is a great combo, it's fast and bouncy so you stay well away from melee types. Acrobatics is always good to take as well.

The whole of the thermal set is excellent. You could drop the rise of the pheonix, but a lot of people like to have it for PvE. From fire blast you're a bit limited. Fire Blast, Blaze and Fireball would all be good. Just don't get Flares (it's just bad!) or fire breath (roots you for too long).

As for other pool powers, grant invis is nice for everyone, especially stalkers. Tactics is yummy, or you could try the for the Invoke Panic from the presence pool, as only Dark armour/miasma users get protection from it.

I suggest you create a build centred around buffing, and not about offence - because Thermal just won't cut it for that purpose pre-35. If you want an offensive Corruptor build, you'd be better off rolling a /Cold or a /Dark; trying to rebuild a /Thermal to be offensive is just going to leave you with a horribly gimpy build.

(PS - whatever you do, take Thaw.)
