Quote:Mine just renewed today, and no points or token - although, I was 400 points ahead to begin with. So either I am missing 150 points or 550 points and definitely missing one token. Here's my thread going on that subject. My account renewed on the 15th, and I got no Token or Points...

Quote:What I really don't get is that I thought fly was made slower due to rendering limitations. So, if those limitations have been surpassed, then why isn't fly just faster without the need for another power choice? On the other hand, I almost resent the power's existence, gated as it is behind two other power choices, at least one of which I may have no interest in. I've been staring at builds over the last few days in my spare time, trying to find ways to shoehorn Afterburner into them, because otherwise I'm not even sure Fly is worth it to me anymore. Afterburner is simultaneously that conceptually pleasing, and that expensive.

Superjump also extends the wings. I think ninja run does as well, but I have only seen that firsthand on the celestial wings, where they definitely go to the "on" position whenever it's toggled on.

Quote:Oh, look. That was discussed at length near the end of the open beta. A small legion of apologists defended it.

Quote:No, it's not possible. You don't get the contact for reaching the minimum level, you get it for training to the minimum level. And yes, there is a bit of redundancy. The trainer exercise is a good example. You most likely have gone to your trainer a plurality of times before doing the arcs, the thing is, it's possible you haven't, and it's just a simple reminder that you should do it fairly often [and personally, the villain dialog for being sent back to the Arbiter is hilarious imo].

Manti's hired minions are also pretty trusting to pose as kidnappers and assume I'm not a murdering vigilante.
-
He gave two options. One is for one person to get it with no mention of which person and the other is for no one to get it. Then you insult him for wanting to pick either, even though they are literally the only two options available. What a strange, small world you must live in.

Yes, the character is an alien. An alien with a distinctive speech pattern a motivation laden backstory - the kind of character a RPer would make.

Quote:An awesome setup where they teach you about training only after you have done it a minimum of 4 times. Wowzers. Or how about when they teach you about enhancements when you are in the middle of a mission when you have no enhancements and would need to leave to get some?Yes, but the tutorial/training process now extends to level 20 with the ongoing training missions. Didn't you read about those in the patch notes?
The new missions have some examples of good writing, but that are absolutely worthless for learning about playing the game. Too little information given to you much to late to do any good. -
Quote:Hello holy trinity.Nerf healing.
All of it. Regen, self-heals, team heals, inspirations, set bonuses, everything.
I've felt this way for years, but never really said it.
It could be done proportionally, I think, in such a way that it wouldn't really hurt any one character proportionally more than the others -- in a world of rare, weak healing, even a lesser empath would still be a godsend.
Quote:It's much more interesting to have to decide whether to press on when injured, at partial capacity, or understrength. It's more dramatic AND more realistic. -
Quote:Since the OP said "Now either this is intended for teams, or for solo characters with the kind of DPS generated by IOs, and probably continuous consumption of big reds at the same time", I assumed that was not his preferred alternative and gave him the less inspiration dependent alternative. You say "toe-may-toe", I say "toe-mah-toe" and "Just use a bigger hammer. If it breaks, it needed to be replaced anyhow."
Defeating his clone army is the tactically preferred way to do it (and apparently what the devs had in mind when they gave him that army of clones); popping three or four medium red inspirations and then watching him drop before the clones even start to appear seems to be a popular alternative. -

Code:So, for single target melee attacks, I have strike, slash, followup, and lunge, along with gloom (which while not melee is good enough that I use it as such). I don't need all that. Even if I'm slowed, I can fill the holes with area attacks and not worry about end. So, I want to get rid of one to take either eviscerate or the new leaping charge attack.| Copy & Paste this data into Mids' Hero Designer to view the build | |-------------------------------------------------------------------| |MxDz;1389;675;1350;HEX;| |78DA6593DB57125114C6CF086828067801046F88E42D4758F5D44BCBA558289AADC| |C1E69C4092609580366BEF53774B3D2552B2F65CF95BA567F5397772BDBB3BFE3A5| |9805FC66BE397BEF6FEFC3997E34EE12E2F155A1B48CE5B572393D6A6A995CA1584| |EDF31168B2B75335A65D9D4F28E157E124244584FCF999A51300A5975C6C8E62AE9| |7F45FF9CAE3D58299A4BAAD4E5A33759C8E9A65EA8A8C737EED96231AFA6746D513| |7CB39A3E43A7E2E519A067E98C85B15BC7C9F2C3C34CAC68291372AABBE44C9C8A8| |F389D1B9F4ADE2723E3DAD952BBAB91A208F51FABEA5B6701D39C41AA14FD4BC045| |E31ECAF8175C6C00663AC9EA07094223A0971510B8CD31B056F8412642941920D92| |CDE6512CE95C33D0C2A86F65BC232B0E69C5718F43EBB30C570E3018E7EF3306971| |85B145527A3EAEE62C102C3930116194D3AA23ED65898204F4E69D3E9A79B0EB14D| |891A64A286435ED5F48BD1F21BF8C3F01D310685CD82976A37CAE61AD19C0FCD05D| |05C00CD5DA3826E59D01D662B1B54D02B0B7AD16F10FD06D16F3BFA6D47BFC3E8F7| |3A256A46A29AE6376CA57313D865246941ABDC9B566C4A3790A2377E19EABF42B0D| |B44F83FEE90A93669AA0DA63A612A025311988AC0542F4C4D52E6909C420853E8C6| |14C298422FA63045EB3AE4143A863974930A76C9825D9F90F433E3C217600FD8678| |C1C603769EC3D32510FC6E923292AA528CAF949EA476ED11FE2FD3AA4DF21596E68| |8B032F6E033BC07B4CFB03B0CB5827932AA26CEA018F79E42BB0C788EF3366A8BF9| |82C18838776FBC901A30F5D2255A5CCDAE569B20E0D2B37EC2707ECC8E911D67F8D| |EFBF9D3D5E18E0F7B3523F4B3F4E25BB32CF366A6F2AD6C1ED4E32E293C06D7EF7F| |374B94379C28DF43D059E01CF19032F803546ACAA8DC12A255EA55CAE522E55297F| |017B5BE815| |-------------------------------------------------------------------|
Which one should I lose (not followup or gloom, obviously)? -
Quote:You have to kill his summoned clone thingies, as they power his regen. I soloed him on a earth/kin and the damage I have on that char is laughable compared to any scrapper I can imagine. So here's a recent example:
Is Mender Ramiel's arc for unlocking the initial Alpha Incarnate slot supposed to be a team only mission? I just tried to solo it with my L50 DM/SR Scrapper that is outfitted with all 50+ (or 51) SOs--usually in an Acc,Acc,Rend,Dmg,Dmg,Dmg configuration for attacks--and I simply could not overcome Trapdoor's regen rate (and he was "only" an Elite Boss to me). I had to basically leave the mission out of pure futility.
Now either this is intended for teams, or for solo characters with the kind of DPS generated by IOs, and probably continuous consumption of big reds at the same time. Either that or I simply don't know how to solo a L50 Scrapper. -

Quote:When I said higher, I was speaking of individual enhancements. Not all powers are hitting EN for all aspects. If what you're saying is true (the boost is % based of the existing value, not related to the level of the IO) then it almost seems that it should work the other way.
That is if ED still effects the result, then you'd want to add the IO enhancers to a power that's slightly under-slotted.
For instance, I'd like more end reduction and more hold in my choking cloud without taking out any of my procs. I get a better benefit by enhancing the purple end/hold than by enhancing the orange end/hold - both of which are already in the power. -
For some more specific stuff:
an IO set that maxes out at 35 gets to slightly better than level 50 performance with +3.
red ED kicks in somewhere between 2.25 and 2.5, so slotting 2 common IOs with one enhanced to +5 almost gets you there and enhancing both puts you in deep red ED.
since it is a percentage of the total, you get more of a boost the higher the values are - so (for instance) when I slot my brute's with kinetic combatX4 (35) and a threeway from crushing impact (50) to get the performance values up, I would get a better benefit by enhancing the crushing at 50 than the kinetics at 35.
the biggest boost is to stick them on purples, but almost everything is already ED red on those, so only do it if you're using them for frankenslotting or need something unusual boosted that doesn't already max out. -
Quote:Fixed 5%. Max it out at +5 and it's a fixed 25% (not, that's a 25% improvement on the current value, not 25 added to the current value - you still get a higher bonus on schedule A enhancements.)is it a fixed 5% or is it a 1 level increase? at 50 to 51 the cange "should be +.2% based on the difference between 49 and 50.

Anyone have a clue what they're fixing? -

Quote:My character has 19 cyber hearts - the enhancement system has nothing to do with roleplaying. It's just stupid names tacked onto a mediocre mechanic. And while I hate the idea of force role playing, keep the discounts/premiums at the origin stores. I know some people may simply treat their character as Melee/Burst Damage or Range/AoE generic MMO classification but this is a Super Hero MMO and origin is an aspect as much as alignment or faction is in another MMO. If that's too annoying for you, sorry.
