my gaming was cut short last night, but i plan on looking for some that need help throughout the week, its pretty fun and can be rewarding when they stay. I know there were a buttload of people on liberty's nova last night, im assuming some were new.

not mine, but one of my favorite "dork towers" was when a character misheard u2 lyrics, and was going on about how much he loves "I still haven't found gerald's cookiejar" the Gerald part is kind of stretching it, but the cookiejar will not get out of my head when i hear the real song.
my personal one is seal's song "a kiss from a rose on the brain" that sounded painful. -

this does stink, you are playing by the rules and begin screwed here, hope this gets resolved. I'm hoping that ncsoft employees are readign this and reporting it to higher ups, becasue this does need resolved, its costing the game money here.

kotaku also, targeting gamer nerds, is absolutely popping with ads.
/GU comics too as a primarily mmo themed webcomic. -
Well, that is kind of the point, the answer is neither. some loyalists want to preserve order and protect people, but they do so under a restrictive authoritarian regime, but a lot of them are just fascist bullies, including tyrant. that might seem like the opposing side is the good guys, but again, it depends, some want to make the world better, but some are just anarchists who want to watch the world burn, and the realist has to ask, if the resistance won, could a rag tag group of insurrectionists really handle the new hamidon, or would the little bit of security be eaten away instantly by the onrushing waves of monstrous nature? ultimately a good or evil person could be either side, and both would require some compromise of standard good morals. its all about (/puts on sunglasses) Shades of gray
YEAAAAHHHHH
as for my day, well, im enjoying my rerolled km scrapper, Cant wait for the store to be up, because i have a powerful urge to alt. but liberty is my home. -
wonder how much they are going to make on people buying new slots. This is a very alt enticing expansion, and im thinking that im going to need more than 2 more for liberty.

Quote:I'll admit to being a bit tired of paid packs myself, but at least from the current statement, they seem to be trying to get the enemy parts in as part of the game proper, so there is hope. I dont begrudge them some booster packs, so long as we start seeing some art assets shake loose now that gr is live. business are to make money, and they aren't required, though their quality so far has made them required for me.YEA! more booster packs
what ever happen to the days of just monthly fees and expansion pack
instead of the nick and dime **** that this industry been moving to aka the 25 dollars mounts
oh and if we are getting villain stuff, i am BEGGING for backpacks finally. i can take clipping if i can get some of the cool back items like the porter 4 post device. -
huzzah, my credit card awaits.

seems to work for keith richards.
non-silly answer, extremely good heroes who want to keep fighting evil till there is none(shades of chakan, the forever man) even after their mortal time. you are the last descendant of a line of great protectors of the people, knights, cops, soldiers, even an ancient alchemist/healer from roman times (the litch, hence the robe) heroes throughout time. so you can still call the willing and heroic souls of your grandparents and great grandparents for great justice, maybe even one day joining them.Yeah they dont look like much, but they have stood for millenia against evil, and you now stand with them. -
well hype, i cant get the shot, but freedom is grey virt is red and everything else is yellow.
-
ok chris, i'm beginning to think you are starting to take this way too personally.
-
dunno, mine is fixing files, about 840 mb of them. and it aint fast either.
-
well, good news is, this has been asked for a lot. dunno if that will help, but they know about it. i'd like to see baron coats for women as well.
-
-
unexpected, but not unappreciated.
-
the original was surprisingly hilarious, the sequel would have a lot to live up to, but it gets a shot based on the strength of the first.
-
a happy birthday to one of the devs that i haven't driven insane yet.

well, while she embellished a bit, as her style, the basic jist really was just, hey, if im not on vent, throw me some consideration as well. which was my point in chiming in. vent does its job, and is convenient if everyone is on it. but not everyone can use it, so if you pick up a player or have a sg mate who isnt using it, maybe transcribe the relevant details for them too. I know i did a lady grey with a group on vent, and they said NOTHING, no indication when to attack, no indication of any preferred strategy, just dead silence, not even a freaking goodbye when we won that can be really annoying, so just vent responsibly, ok ?
-
i'm actually with you, not a fan of vent. my computer area isnt soundproof, and i have a loud voice, so me speaking is pretty much out of the question, and i find chat easier for coordinating. If your setup is vent friendly then great, but if your team in majority on vent, and you get one pug guy, keep in mind that he cant hear you, so please type relevant details, and say something to them occasionally so that they know you aren't mocking them in the vent group..even if you are, it is just poor form. it can just be kind of an excluded experience.
plus, while it may be silly, i imagine it throws some people when my bass voice comes out of a female character, I know it aint rp, but it may be jarring. -
Quote:one more point that a commenter made, it really is a movie directed at younger viewers, 8bit references be damned. A lot of gamer geeks are just too old for what appears to be a boy meets girl story(both of whom look even younger than their actual characters are). now i like those, so its not a killer to me, but a lot fo the geekosphere is now older, married or in some long term relationship maybe even have kids, a lot of them were the ones the 8 bit stuff hit more solidly, and this is, to them, a teen movie.IO9's Scott Pilgrim Vs. The Lamentable Weekend Gross argues that (1) the Michael Cera backlash is strong (as can be seen on these boards); (2) critics are still snarking about it as a movie for the stereotypical video gamer, implicitly lowering the appeal of being a member of the audience; and (3) it's too much of a guy flick, with Romana Flower's character noticeably diminished from the comic series in order to keep the running time down.
I'm still looking forward to watching this in the theater, where it's clearly made to be seen. Putting it off as a rental is simply a bad idea. That said, I was on the fence about it going into this week. The marketing campaign hadn't impressed me, nor did the buzz from Comic Con. Only when Edgar Wright and the cast were interviewed in detail on the cusp of opening weekend did the movie sound actually intriguing. -
Quote:I dunno, to me this is a love story by way of no more heroes. I dont go out to movies much(our local theaters are not great) but i suspect the nmh quality will pull me in.Expendibles was my choice, and it didn't let me down. I might.. see that dressed up love story.. i think thats what prevents me from being super enthused by it since I don't have an inclination for love story viewing. I mean the geek factor of paranormally powered beings look ok.... but a "love story"
