    Regen Build...

    Well, I can imagine that not everyone comes in looking specifically and expressly for advice or criticism sincerely...so your initial apprehension is understandable....apology accepted...

    Now, back to a more serious note...

    How, on earth am I supposed to get any defense?? Any of the sets that offer it in bonuses require 6 slotting mostly...

    Also, is there a way to get my resistances to the cap if chasing defense is moot?

    How small can I make the gap between MoG being up and down?

    How close can I make the "gap" between IH?

    Regen Build...

    Ok, let me start off by saying I was gone from CoX since issue 12...that's the last time this toon was "state of the art"...I knew what I was doing a lot better then as well. Since I have been back (1 mo. yesterday) I have been trying to get this toon "up to speed" so to speak.

    Last time I was playing this character having IH perma was important...now that is not even relatively possible. So, I did some digging for a /Regen guide, and no one has made one since issue 12 that I can find, and I know that much.

    What I want for this toon is essentially 3 things...the most regen I can get, the defense as close to soft cap as possible, and the most resistances I can get, also, I was thinking of going musculature for Alpha, so I was trying to get as much +recovery as I could to accomodate for no help from the Alpha slot. Recharge is a priority on DP, IH, MoG, and main attacks...

    While this may seem to be a "joke" to some...constructive feedback would be most appreciated...were I joking there would have been some disclosure...

  6. I just posted a mid range build for a regen to get some feedback in the Scrapper forum this morning look at it as I am pretty confident it will get you some ideas for how to slot regen. I couldn't see any better way without purple sets. The regen with instant healing up is around 1730% +/- and without IH up it is around 750% +/-. That should be very survivable for you.

    DM/?

    I have really been looking at rolling a brute...I want to play DM because I haven't played it before and I have a great concept for it...I think either regen invulnerable or DA is the secondary I want to go with...for survivability any suggestions? I know regen very well but I am not familiar with the other 2. I suppose I could be talked into another primary with a DA secondary and retain the concept if there's just some stellar combo that I am unaware of at this time.

    Any ideas?

    Regen remake

    Claws very rarely suffers redraw with regen...its a non issue. My first 50 is claws/regen...I say is because he has always been my favorite. It is an excellent pair...just slot for boatloads of recharge and get upwards of around 800-900% regen base and you will be a monster.
  12. I would do spines/regen or dark melee/regen on a Scrapper

    The other 3 are a bit all over the place. Try a dark/dark toon like a blaster or defender...I have a dark/dark defender and I enjoy him way more than any blasters I have played and he does some serious damage too

Ok, so I set my binds up but I have one thing I am having trouble with...when I drop back into human I want my bind to activate 2 toggles right now it only hits orbiting death...the other one I put in doesn't get picked up...is it something I am doing wrong or can you only have one toggle switch on when you're dropping other toggles?
  15. Regens strengths lie in getting massive recharge and healing buffs get DP up permanent with hasten and get hasten permanent. Get your damage powers slotted up and proc'ed out and get as much recharge and defense buff in MoG as you can. Quite a few go hero to villain to hero for shadowmeld which is a mini MoG. You can use a combo of those 2 to get your Def up and slot them well enough to cap your defense out. Then you are almost a tank by the time your regen is up around 300+ HP/sec
  16. Not bad, I would put another resist dmg in tough and I would put the aegis psi unique in resilience to help you out a little more against the psi types/mezzers.

    The Miracle proc may not be bad to sub into some of the slots where you have the extra numinas like fast healing etc.

    You should also 3 sl of health with numinas proc and health and a regen tissue proc
  17. This may be a stupid question but I am just starting to delve into binds for a TFWS and I am curious about 3 things:

    1. I enter the bind commands in the chat tray right?

    2. I only have to set them up once right?

    3. They only work on the character which is active when I set them up?

  20. Claws does a lot of damage. It was one of the original AV killer sets...more recently it has gotten lost...but I rolled a claws regen years ago when they were fixing MoG. I have not been disappointed as it was a real mob shredder...I am working on dusting him off for endgame now. Have to tweak my build and spend some money on him but I will be doing incarnates with him soon.
  21. Try this, and if you can find room, manuevers will help you get S/L def much closer to where you can get within a small purple of soft cap...(32.5%)

  22. If you're looking for pure damage numbers I would look at DB or katana, maybe claws. Street justice is a good set but it is more for stuns/KB mitigation, less a pure damage set. Titan weapons looks like it will fair well after the numbers are crunched. EA is a good secondary to pair with most things. Regen or willpower or super reflexes all are popular as well. What do you want this character to accomplish?

    If you want a lot of defense SR or wp with a katana or broadsword get you there. SR needs endurance help while willpower is balanced.

    If you want a top notch high end build with no regard for cost... roll up anything regen...though a single sword St with parry gets you to soft capped defense well.

    If you like something different with a good balance try kinetic melee with shield...and kinetic melee is going to be good for damages. Though some of the "windup" times lag compared to other sets it is a lot of fun.

    For EA personally I think TW may be a good fit for a steamroller type character...and the end recovery should keep you steamrolling a good while.
  23. I actually like that combo I have been kicking around the idea of rolling one up myself.

    I don't have to preach about the strengths of those 2 sets they're well established and I like resilient with invulnerable. I also had thoughts about taking vigor for the recharge and regen benefits, but resilient just looks so tasty paired with invulnerable I think I may have to roll another toon now...like I need another alt ...lol.
