Tidying up my Warshade binds, help needed.

Hello everyone.

I'm currently levelling up a new Warshade and I decided to reuse a series of binds that I've successfully used before. However, something seems wrong.

Firstly, whenever shifting forms, I get "unknown command: powexec" spam showing up in my combat window. Secondly, try as I might, I cannot get my bind for shifting into Black Dwarf to work. It takes me to the right tray but doesn't switch forms.

I will confess to not being very good with binds but I'm slightly confused that these work fine on my other Warshade but not on my new one. Could anyone be kind enough to take a look at them and tell me where I'm going wrong?

/bind shift+lbutton powexecname shadow step

/bind numpad2 "powexectoggleon Dark Nova$$gototray 8"

/bind numpad1 "powexectoggleoff Dark Nova$$powexec toggleoff Black Dwarf$$powexecname Combat Jumping$$gototray 1$$bind shift+lbutton powexecname shadow step"

/bind numpad0 "powexectoggleoff Dark Nova$$powexec toggleoff Black Dwarf$$gototray 1$$bind shift+lbutton powexecname shadow step"

/bind numpad3 “powexectoggleon Black Dwarf$$gototray 9$$bind shift+lbutton powexecname Black Dwarf Step"

/bind numpad4 "targetcustomnext enemy defeated"

/bind T "targetenemynext$$targetcustomnext enemy alive quantum$$targetcustomnext enemy alive void$$targetcustomnext enemy alive cyst"

-------------------------------

Many thanks!

Hmmm, still confused as the toggle off command works fine for shifting out of Nova.

Anyway, doesn't matter, I had forgotten to look at your guide first. *facepalm* The bind in there works a treat so thank you!

This may be a stupid question but I am just starting to delve into binds for a TFWS and I am curious about 3 things:

1. I enter the bind commands in the chat tray right?

2. I only have to set them up once right?

3. They only work on the character which is active when I set them up?

Ok, so I set my binds up but I have one thing I am having trouble with...when I drop back into human I want my bind to activate 2 toggles right now it only hits orbiting death...the other one I put in doesn't get picked up...is it something I am doing wrong or can you only have one toggle switch on when you're dropping other toggles?

You are only permitted to activate ONE power per command line/bind. You can TURN OFF any number of powers simultaneously. This means that whatever the LAST power to activate in the sequence is will be the ONLY power that gets clicked/toggled on (all others ignored).

It's the end. But the moment has been prepared for ...

So that's what I thought...hmm...I refuse to bind a key just to click one toggle and nothing else...I will have to figure out how to work this in...

Thanks

If you REALLY wanted to activate more than one power with a single keypress, there are ways to "cheat" the system, none of which are recommended unless you REALLY pay attention to what you're doing.

/bind [key] "+down$$powexec_toggleon Twilight Shield$$powexec_toggleon Penumbral Shield"

This bind will activate your Penumbral Shield when the key is pressed down, and activate Twilight Shield when the key is let up. There's a catch: You have to leave the key depressed until the cast time of Penumbral Shield starts and let up on it only when you're sure Penumbral Shield will activate, or all you'll get is Twilight Shield. Not easy to do in a battle.

/bind [key] "powexec_toggleoff Black Dwarf$$Goto_tray 1$$powexec_name Black Dwarf Mire$$powexec_auto sunless mire"

This will drop you to human and give you a nice double mire, but will also put your sunless mire on auto. So long as you remember to hit it one more time while your mires are animating you'll be fine, otherwise sunless mire will stay on auto, and the next time you need that bind it will actually not work (the auto command activates and deactivates the auto status on a power)

Those are the two that spring immediately to mind, and - like I said - I wouldn't necessarily recommend them. But I've used them (briefly, for testing purposes) and they do work.
