Quote:I agree with your Scorpion vs range comment. Not that I disagree with the pet comment, I just haven't picked up the pet to say either way. But I would imagine the pet being good also.I'm not big on Scorpion Shield, as I find being S/L softcapped without any resistance not enough survivability for my taste.
I prefer softcapping ranged and picking up a res shield. Mu is a great one as it offers resistance to the three most common damage types. Another bonus is that the set includes CP, which I find useful on many builds, and the Mu pet, who is flying and can keep up with the player (I like pets on buff/debuff ATs, many people don't). -
Quote:Years ago I was part of a SG the Repeat Offenders ran. Was all storm, Tormento or something like that was the SG leader. It was fun and I was on the ground floor of that start up. Don't know what happen to them. But was all Storm and as you could imagine it worked well. Tormento would pull and everyone who had 02 would just spam heal him. He would pull the toons to a corner with several stacking defenses and then others would close them into the corner with hurricanes and he would walk out. Fun times for sure. That would be fun to see a whole bunch of stormies together
Hurricane is actually one power that you need to learn how to use properly. Push something too close to the wall and they spin off and out of the confines of the hurricane. -
The Pet AI is something that really hinders this AT immensely. Which I concur it sounds silly that this would be a special AT. I could understand if Masterminds where doing something only Higher end builds toons where doing with less then I can get why. But currently I handle the same setting with my Robot Traps that I can with my AR Traps with less hassle.
I currently cycle the Pet all stay command bound to the numpad Del key with All attack command via the numpad key setup. The issue I notice is once I command the pets to stay they stop attacking which is of course why I tell them to attack again.
On my Traps toon its a bit of a pain when I need to drop a targeted AOE item like caltrops because the all stay over rides the targeting reticule. What eventually happens is the Pet ( Robots ) slowly creep forward between the commands. I eventually need to send the pets a repeated all goto command to get them behind me again. That sometimes of course causes me to loose a few pets as they are running back.
If the pets would just stay in one place and attack mobs that come into range as if they were old school auto turrets it would great for robot traps / FF at least. -
I've seen ninja FF on a mail box. Don't know if that's good.

Typical Range defense cap Hover Blaster. Full Auto is on a 24 second recharge. You have several forms of soft control and a few attacks that will help keep mobs away from you that decided to fly hear you, like some Carnies do.
Combat jump just does not give you the defense that Maneuvers does.
You could get rid of Hover and just use a jet pack. I gave you Super speed with the stealth IO for running around missions to get to the end or allowing you to hover with super speed on and stay stealthed.
If you got rid of hover and used a Jet pack you could remove body armor and pick up aid other and aid self. Or get rid of conserve power and hover.
I have a Arch EM that uses jet pack which is range defense capped and is soloing 4/8 setting on missions. I have aid self and aid other. There is a difference in the sets though which afford me the ability to obtain range defense cap a bit easier though.
Personally I think Positional defense is much better then typed defense if it can be obtained. If you added a purple set to Full Auto it would reduce the recharge on it immensely. But that is up to you to decided.
You have 2 choices here.
Musculature which will give you the 2 points endurance use to recovery ratio that is usually aimed for in a build.
If your going to go Cardiac then drop 1 or maybe 2 slots from endurance and you can go with the Aid other 1 slot and Aid self 2 or 3 slots if you do what I mentioned above by taking out hover.
What I can tell you I am 4/8 running on my AR Device which is in the retrofitting thread a few below this one. I have no aid self. The regeneration being range capped is enough. I eat a purple in case of a debuff and an orange which boost my resistance. I do eat a green but I'm not sweating a mission on a high setting is what I'm getting at.

I think PumBumbler link to VirtualBox seems the easiest atm. All you need is a license and windows install disk.
I looked over the install and the manual for virtualbox and it seemed very straight forward. I looked at the screen shots and it just appears to be just like every other VM application. The biggest thing you need is a windows key and a install disk. Windows key is that sticker on the side of a computer. You can use any install disk really as long as it matches the OS. So XP sticker for XP install disk.
One suggestion if you do this I would take a snap shot of the image once it is all installed before you try to update the service packs. This way if something crashes it at least you have a working unpatched install to revert to. Then I would actually copy that whole xp file into another backup folder.
Then once you have a fresh install update it and see how it goes. Go slow make sure the updates all take.. Check stuff out. I don't know if Virtualbox will allow multiple snapshots. Some only allow one. I would maybe install MIDs and along with what is needed and test MIDs out after each update you do. Again once you see all is good recopy over and the new install. If you have the disk space make a new folder for each and label accordingly. Once your all done and satisfied save the final image and delete all the rest.
Images can get corrupt and sometimes you need to copy over that back up image. Also make sure you save your images after you create a bunch of builds. My image got corrupted and I had to recreate many of my recent builds. It was a bit of a pain. -
Ninja Storm ?
You could probably get Lighting Storm up to maybe 3 or at least 2 solid storms up for a really good amount of time.
I might over thinking this but would SB do anything to LS or Fulcrum Shift ? It is a pet isn't it ? Or its just not kind of pet ?
If you kept the Kin near the ninja storm all it would need is a decent number for Range defense and then mid way numbers for the rest as the -Tohit debuff from Hurricane would bolster the rest. So nutshell your Kin would be capped and have a bit more freedom to do his work with less issues. Plus Hurricane would help out the Ninja pets as well along with the other debuffs.
I'm thinking maybe radiation kin -
Okay I did a Corruptor one..
There are some differences like Regeneration, but your endurance and recovery are the just about the same.. And your Range capped. Flash arrow slotted is what helped you out. I would go with Cardiac Alpha
Enjoy

Here is my build. I looked at Atomic_Toy_Gun build and I have to say beyond the being a bit short on the range defense cap, the recharge is very nice. Simple comparison my Oil Slick is at 60 recharge and his is at 48. A total 12 second difference. My only issue is flash arrow is 60 seconds just like Smoke grenade. It's a decent amount of time but it is something you will always have to remember to fire off every 55 seconds. Again 42 or 45 not life ending.. Just a annoyance for me. But after comparing the builds I think I might be able to get both.
EDIT: After reworking and getting some changes I still couldn't figure out how you ATG build was getting Oil Slick down to 48 seconds. Just comparing the builds side by side I noticed I had more recharge sets placed.. I looked to see if accolades where on or Incarnates.. Nothing... Then... There it was staring me in the face. Force feedback IO slotted and turned on.. ARGGGGG.. So I turned that off and it was a bit different.
I would take one IO out of Flash arrow and put it in explosive arrow and place the force feedback for the proc.
Though I don't think your going to get the defense numbers a defender does so might bit a bit tougher for you. You might have to use flash arrow to get the cap.

I have a build for a defender, you will have to modify it to give you the range cap you need. I will look and see when I get home. But in the mean time I can say you want range defense cap and recharge to get Oil slick up as fast as you can.
I never heard any good stuff about the build so I'm a bit confused when I am farming Crey Fire and some other AE farm missions on 4/8 setting along with just general missions that give me the room to hover above the mobs. -
I did a quick rework of your build. As I always say it could be better but that would take time of working and reworking. Overall your slotting IOs but missing out on some good set bonuses. Sometimes it worth loosing a second recharge in a power if your going to gain a 10% regen bonus. I think putting them side by side you can see what I am talking about.
I'm not a big fan of your Ancillary choice and some ways its counter productive. You have PFF but then have Force of nature that drains your endurance. So do you use Force of Nature and hope you then have enough End to activate PFF if Force of Nature doesn't work out ? Again I'm not into anything that drops my toggles, especially since its just giving you a great endurance recharge. Your still relying on your powers to attack and recharge fast enough to kill the enemy.
Regardless though There are about 4 threads currently on this very page below this thread that deal with Devices. I would definitely look through them to see some of the common themes different players work out. That shows that different players are liking the same ideas and powers.
You will notice your range defense is 48 but it will drop down to 45 when cloaking device is suppressed.

Here is my updated current build.
As I type this I started to think that World of Pain ( WoP ) being perma might be the best route. But as I went through the thought process I started to think that even though WoP increases your resistances. Your pets do not benefit from the set bonuses, so your pets will only be offered what WoP gives out.
You will gain some benefit but I do not think you can obtain perma WoP and get some decent resistance numbers from set bonuses in which you will be 50% resistant to all attacks per-say.
End result is something is gonna have to give. You just can't have the heals, the resistance numbers across the board and be perma WoP. The build just does not sustain the IOs needed for all of this.
Now I know its retarded to try to compare or complain that my DS Pain can't solo Crey Fire Farm on 4/8 setting so it sucks because my Robot Traps can. I think if you have any character that can solo 1/8 setting has accomplished something and would always be viable on any team. I mean that 1/8 setting is what a full standard team does or used to do before the slider came out.
Nonetheless I'm okay with the 2/8 setting.

No that build is not good.
Look, I'm going to teach you how to fish and then at the end I am going to give you the fish. You decide what you want out of this.
The only way YOU will ever know if a build is good or not is by YOU understanding the game mechanics. How they work, what the limits are, ETC. Otherwise some schmuck is gonna come here post some build like the one you have and tell you its good and you not knowing any better will spend your money on something useless just to find out you could have made 5 level 50 IO'ed toons for the price of one. What's that saying the closest distance between 2 points is a straight line. Well that build has many zigzags and dead ends.
So you understand the only way a DP MM does any farming is via Vengeance in a S/L specific AE mission.
Luckily you will have an endless supply of players who will be willing to play dead in any sort of farm for you. Heck you will get players asking you even when your don't want them or need them eventually.
Outside of AE on team they are decent up until someone dies and they can fire off Vengeance once again. But then again everyone benefits from vengeance so everyone becomes a great farming toon for a few moments that vengeance is active.
That being said you need to really read these posting until you understand them. I know you will go to them and skim them and toss them aside. I would suggest at a minimum bookmark them and eventually you will be lead to enough dead ends that you will be force to learn this stuff yourself.

Finally the build. No purples.
http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showt...=267535&page=2
As I mentioned if you want to spend the 5 billion slot in 2 purple sets and the Gladiator Armor IO. But even that build needs reworking. There are of course many other builds in that thread you can work with.
Again remember the whole deal around DP MM and it requirements. Don't be fooled for a moment your going to run into some other farm or mission and just kick butt without having vengeance active and is not filled with S/L attack type mobs. -
Reworked the build.
Gave you more recharge, recovery and regeneration. I was able to obtain range cap for you.
I tightened up some of the powers as well in the rework.
EG 5 slotted positron blast for the recharge bonus and more damage in the attack. 6 slotted your stun attack to actually stun a bit more and longer.
Cut your drain psyche down from 69 seconds to 47 second recharge.
I think you can even rework it a bit more. What I have come to learn is your first or even second build are never the final build.
Start looking for set limits.
For example in your build you over slotted Luck of the Gambler in Hover and Weave. 3 LOTG is pretty much the limit unless your getting the 4,5 or 6th set bonus. Which you probably will not. The 3 standard for a set of 3 from LOTG is +recharge, Defense / Endurance and Defense. You over slotted Tough by one.
Took out fly and put in super speed with stealth IO. It allows you to zip around to the end of missions when needed. Like TIP missions. You can hover with super speed on and still benefit from the stealth. Nutshell its a glitch in the system. Super speed has a stealth component built in which combines with the stealth IO. Even though your not really running at super speed just having it on while hovering will still afford you the same benefit. So only Rikti drones and snipers will spot you.
Where this come into play is setting up to for a Drain Psyche attack hovering above mobs while stealth.
Last minute touch, reworked World of Confusion.

GGG247
If you can afford the 2.5 billion for the Gladiator Armor IO, then I would consider something along the lines of my build or Nethergoats and place that IO in those builds. Just swap out one of my powers to pick up Trip mine if you want. Since your replacing one supply of range defense for another you can swap out a power and frankenslot another for some higher dps.
I think Trip mine is a waste for a blaster. Nutshell your going to be hover blasting so your not going to be trying to place trip mines except before a fight starts. After that it will be a forgotten power. If you try to place trip mine during a group fight 1 point of damage will break your placement ( Darkest night which causes no damage will break your placement, you get a constant interrupted message ) and cause you to loose your endurance. You might have 1 more chance to place a trip mine before your endurance drops too low or the fight is over.
Trust me when I tell you, you will start to see that once you place your feet on the ground your gonna be saying I should have stayed up there and attacked instead. I'm not telling you something new. Many smarter players knew this years ago but I didn't get it either. Only when I started to understand defense caps with my Trap toons that it made more sense when I gave it up on my AR Device. Even then it was tough because to me Trip mine was Device. I think that is just the over all mentality with device. Sadly Traps full defense cap capabilities just afford you more chances to place trip mines at will then a hover range cap blaster can. -
1. Use the search
2. Move your eyes a below the top thread on this very page and notice the 3 or 4 threads asking or posting DP MM builds.
3. You don't need to even spend a billion.
4. Yea I sound like a jerk. But you didn't even bother trying. Put a little effort in. Heck copy the guys build below and say its your and ask us what we think, its DP MM how different could it be from another DP MM ? -
Not that I'm jumping on the disagree bandwagon.. I as well disagree.
If you get your Alpha to T3 and get the level bump it will make it easier to farm. You can farm the fire crey AE mission by hover blasting in the elevator banks area. I do it with all my hover blaster builds. I can solo 4/8 while in that area out of mob reach. You want to be high enough to be out of the fire breath cone. End result the attack chain is a bit slower so you have a chance to heal up between hits. Just eat whatever inspirations pop in the tray make sure you have greens handy for that burst of hits that sneak in. Being already Range capped orange is your friend as they increase your resistance.
As for the build I am not saying take over someone else thread but for the most part minus a few changes fire/dev, radiation/device, energy/device, ar/device are all the same.
I just posted a Range cap hover blast build in the Radiation Device thread below this. Take that and swap it rad for fire. Re-post it here with any changes you might have made or feel that needed to be changed and get some input. Don't waste your time trying to reinvent the wheel. Your wheel isn't going to look too much different from someone else in this game within the same AT and same power sets. -
I reworked my build since my last posting and picked up good Ole' Oppressive Gloom. That power is just that dam good.
I thought that getting provoke fear and terror from the presence pool would work out but it doesn't.
The best I can do with the build is 2x8 crey fire farm setting. Again I use that as my guide when posting since it really is a popular farm that players have done at least once to know what its about.
Sorry bad with incarnate names, but I think if I picked up the one incarnate that gives defenses for 120 seconds it will of course change the game play. -
Quote:I think it might put a black eye on NC Soft Products that they try to port over to Mac in the future though. But seeing how gaming websites work on giving praise to MMOs I doubt many of these gaming website would beat up NC Soft for putting out a product that was eventually dropped because they didn't know how to do it.Mac Users in total are likely LESS than the thousands of $$$ total that they'd lose but just releasing i21 with the Mac playability bugs intact.
Time for bootcamp...Windows is the only way to keep playing the game I'm afraid.
EDIT ** OK, my doooooom has been corrected. Thanks for the update Zwill, glad to see you thinking about us Mac users.
It would be more of a word of mouth thing like the fear that is caused when they hear Sony taking over or backing an online game.
Plus how do you try to explain away the supposed "Mac client" you sold people. I quoted Mac client because its more of a kludge then anything else. I guess if they gave me back my money I paid for the Mac Kludge we could call it a wash and I would have no gripe.
Whats a bit annoying is when he comes onto the server and announces something going on on test I can't even participate in or try to get some freebee because I can't get past training. It's BS I know and not the end of the world, but its like the dog pooping on the carpet then wagging his tail in my face.
On top the last update kept many off for several weeks. I really am expecting the same when i21 goes live.
On top the only person(s) was Cuppa and I think someone else ( sorry don't recall your forum name ) that really gave players insight on what to do and log in. I got more info from Cuppa then the people I pay to play. It really does not make sense to me.
I just think there comes a time where gaming companies just feel the losses just are not that big. It's either they are rolling in money so loosing several hundred or even a thousand players is not a big deal ( Defcon actually had a cool talk about this exact thing. The guy that was sued for 12 million by the big MMO did the talk if anyone knows his name ) or the game is low on the market that if they need 1000 players just to break even and are at 500 players loosing another 40 isn't just going to make a difference since they are already short. -
Traps with some sort of AOE attacks.
Positional defense cap plus AOE attacks how bad can it be. -
Just looking at both Pain and Thermal ( I have a 50 DS Pain ) I would go with Thermal for the buffs since its one cast now. I think they clearly offer more then the regen bubble that Pain does. With Pain I have over 600 regen but my pets don't. If my pets also where also effected by my set bonuses then it would be great, but sadly its not.
-
Okay just did a full rework and this is what I came up with.
I gave you fly because I needed it for the build set bonus wise.
You will need cloaking device active which will be suppressed during a fight but it will give you defense cap suppressed.
I tried to play around with S/L defense but I ended up in the 30s and it just was not worth it being already Ranged Cap. If it was something I could have picked up along the way to range cap okay, but I was making too many detours trying to raise the numbers.
I gave you the spiderling pet and then noticed it would take 312 seconds to recharge. Yea gun drone and another pet are nice and they do offer a damage bonus, forgot what its called for blasters. Its that inherit bonus they get. But nonetheless it would only be offered to you literally every 5 minutes. Again not worth it I thought in my book. The up side is you can get double Gun Drone up for a bit. Which is cool and it offers that bonus I mentioned above without waiting 5 minutes, its only 60 seconds.
If you notice your health regen is pretty decent and you now have Aid Self. Come on.. How bad can it be now.
Targeting Drone on an occasion will offer you build up.
Here is the deal you could re-slot smoke with only 1 slot and Mace beam with 1 slot and put those 2 slots some place else. I tried endurance for the recharge bonus but it cut down the powers to recharge by maybe 1 second and the numbers it offered where only .02 more then what your getting from mace beam volley slotted with 2 posi. So you get a bit more DPS out of mace beam volley and some endurance.
Dark Watcher in smoke gives you more hit points.
Over all everything has a reason being slotted set bonus wise.
What you could do if you want is get rid of mace beam volley and slot trip mine if you want or Irradiate.
Some of the level choices are off. I just pick powers and move them around to slot them not looking at what level I place them build wise in MIDs. I of course choose powers accordingly while I level. I just use MIDs as a guide.

I did a quick rework of EJI build.
@ EJI, you went beyond the 5 rule and over killed the build with Gift of the Ancients IOs which had no effect.
I removed Atomic Blast because it crashes you ATM, further its PBAOE ( or close AOE as its noted ) regardless not going to be used much as it will put you in harms way very much especially when your endurance crashes. The way I see these nukes your either gonna eat a few reds, run into a group and hope you live and pop this off. Then eat a blue to get back some endurance to restart all your toggles. Then wait.
I will give you a fair number of 2 minutes before you can use it again due to recharge bonuses.
Or your going to start a fight kill mobs halfway down and then use the nuke to finish them off with a bunch of over kill damage. Again your waiting 2 minutes to use this power again.
I removed Fly power, why ? You have hover.
I know, I know, Hover isn't Fly. I gave you super speed.
With cloaking device you can stealth through missions as needed to get to the end. So you know super speed has already and inherit stealth component, so combined with cloaking device it gives you enough stealth to only be seen by Rikti Drones and Sniper mobs. You can use Smoke Grenade which I added to blind them as well if you need to sneak by.
So your also made aware once your spotted by one of these types of mobs other mobs will spot you as well, so you will need a clear spot to stop eventually and wait for cloaking to reactivate, because every mob that keeps attacking will keep you visible. I have died running trying to be lazy sometimes. What I do now is eat a few purples to kick up my defenses as I run by. This way I can run from elevator to elevator as I need to.
Also you can have super speed on and hover at the same time and still be afforded this stealth bonus. So in caves you can hover on by mobs as long as super speed is on. So no excuses about super speed is too fast in cave missions. Of course you can use a jet pack as well with super speed on to zip around as well.
Now with Trip mine you can still toe bomb mobs or lay out a mob just below you as you hover back away from the mobs so they blow up when they charge in.
Personally I would get rid of trip mine since your going to be limited to only placing it mostly at the start of a fight. Because if you try to get in close during a team fight one simple point of damage from some retarded mob is going to break your you placement and cost you endurance and you will not place the trip mine, you probably can try to place a trip mine about 3x before your endurance is going to be so low you will have to give up trying.
Have I tried to place a trip mine in the past twice before noticing some aoe dot or some debuff like from darkest night is breaking my placement ? I sure did and anyone else that says they haven't is a liar. So in a nutshell your placing a trip mine killing mobs that are already probably half dead or even more, that one AOE would have finished off anyways. Trip mine is more for a Defense Capped Trapper that can place them at will and can leverage them a bit more then a blaster can.
Your main bread and butter is hover blasting so you need to work your powers around this concept. Trip mine I think goes against this play style.
I kicked up your regeneration which works well for healing up attacks that sneak through your Range Defense Cap.
If I was going to go any route with this I might try for Range defense and S/L cap with recharge down to a 6 to 7 second range for Trip mine. IF you wanted trip mine.
I don't know if Irradiate works while hovering that might be something you might want to test out. Just pick it up and just use a jet pack to see if it hits mobs below you while hovering. I might switch out Irradiate for electron haze as its a knock back which will be a knock down while hovering.
Also I would consider maybe just going the whole Mace Mastery excluding web cocoon. It has an AOE hold, Cone attack, S/L defense and the pet.
This is the modified EJI build, which I think can be redone even better.
Finally yes these type of builds are endurance heavy because Device is not very conducive IO set wise to endurance bonuses. You will need to pick up Cardiac. I have a AR Device and Cardiac was a MUST. But I can also solo 4/8 missions now.

I might be just too jaded or narrow minded, but I just don't see a reason why anything that is Traps just does not go for Positional Defense cap and run the Tankermind route. Further Oppressive Gloom is that good, if you build allows you to pick it up I would. Take your toon on Test and just pick it up and run into a bunch of mobs to see it in action. Keep your pets on Passive just to see how it works. You will NOT be disappointed.
I get why the procs in pets, but unless they are capped what is the point.
If you can Provoke mobs onto you and then use Trip mine to help build up aggro. Just keep your pets behind you and all is good.
Oppressive Gloom is going to stun every non boss mob. So if you pull 10 mobs and 2 are bosses that means EIGHT ( 8 ) mobs will more then likely be stumbling around like drunken sailors ( or just drunk I guess, no offense to sailors ). From this chart http://wiki.cohtitan.com/wiki/Protection you can see Lt. will get stunned also.
Nutshell between Trip mine, Provoke, Caltrops and Oppressive Gloom you have enough to hold aggro.
Again I have nothing ( you too ) to help heal my pets beyond Triage Beacon. If my pets start taking aggro and damage even if they are capped it really becomes much harder to heal them somehow then just myself.
Even defense capped I die, I just don't expect that my pets with such crappy AI ( at least crappier then mine ) to do much better.
My build is another thread down below this one. The one good thing about it's capped without the need of Protector bots bubble. Which is good for you since you can swap out Robots for Thugs and be capped. Its not rocket science. Just pull both mids up side by side and look at the numbers for all the powers between your current build and my build. If you see something wrong or weaker that you can improve by all means please let me know. To me as long as I don't give up my defense cap I'm willing to try anything out. I went through 3 respecs just testing out fire and 2 versions of Soul before picking up Oppressive Gloom.
I see you took vengeance but it is useless to you solo. Personally I would rather have a power I can use all the time.
If your going to spend the money and effort you might as well go a few steps more. Overall you get it, I just think you got bored trying to figure it all out. Luckily the wheel has already been invented for this game. There is really not much you can do or create atm that has not been done or figured out by 10 people before you. Which I have to thank for saving us the time of not having to test much of this stuff out. -
Luckily for you my log in timed out and I lost my giant post.
So I will make this short.
I think your loosing sight of the build and what IOs are about. You might not be doing this, but to me it looks like your putting Purple IOs in because they look cool and the common thoughts in these MMOs is purple is better. Which is the furthest from the truth in this game at least. Purple IOs offer 3 things. Damage, Recharge and Recovery. If your looking for anything else pick another cheaper IO set.
Unless your a 60 month vet you need to pick another power before you can just take flight alone. So you need Hover or the Air Superiority first. Flight is also over slotted with 3 slots and then another 3 in Swift. I think with 1 IO your at max flight speed. So you have 4 slots you can use some place else.
You have no defenses or minimal resistances excluding what you get from bodyguard mode.
You do have Oppressive Gloom which is really good and I am personally at the point where getting OG on any build that can have it is worth taking. The Proc you have it does not work atm though, but on the market forum it did mention that in i21 it should be working as it appears to be working in Beta.
Unless I am missing something I don't know why you would slot Hami's in Hasten. Again maybe something I don't know. But I think your just loosing out on recharge, a generic recharge IO will offer you better numbers.
Again another Gladiators IO in Brawl ? Once again I don't think you know how much these IOs cost or how to slot properly / effectively. Now you might have just slotted that in there as a goof but you need to make that clear when posting. Otherwise guys like me will take it serious ( as serious as build creating can be in a game). But you get the point.
Teleport foe ? For what ?
Here is my tip. Go to these links and read it until you really, really understand it. Then go from there.

Dark Necro is a very common build for simple Thematic reasons. Robot Dark is another popular build. I would search the forums for those builds and look at a bunch of them, not just one build. I would look for posters that have played their builds instead of those that seem to be talking out their backsides. Unfortunately there are several players on these forums that post about doing things that numerically I do not see them accomplishing because their builds do not post the numbers to be able to do what they say. Simply fighting a GM or AV I cannot see if your not resistant cap or defense capped. The only way your gonna know who is genuine is by learning about the game mechanics yourself.
