Yes he was a spokesman for Coke, and he was extremely popular too. I understood that's why the show was created. I loved watching it when I could. When I can afford the DVD set I'm picking it up.
Here's a summary of the show:
Quote:23 minutes into the future, the world has become imbued network-television. It's illegal to turn off your tv, and televisions are given to the needy. In this world, Network 23 has a highly-rated news program with a roving reporter named Edison Carter. But Carter gets caught in an experiment to create a computer-generated personality, and "Max Headroom" is born. Together, Max and Edison, along with Edison's controller (Theora), their boss (Murray), their boss' boss (Ben Cheviot), and Network 23's boy-genius (Bryce) combat crime, placate sponsors, defeat rival networks, and turn in stories. -
You never know Amazon just might price match. Funny thing is Fry's will more than likely price match Best Buy. Funnier even still, is some idiot at work put them out on the shelf last week. I found them before the store opened and yanked them. Got questioned as to why I took them down. Told the MT the game goes live on the 8/17 and it's no good to sell it till then, cause the customer won't be able to play till then, even if the system lets you purchase it now. This all happen back on Thursday.

Quote:I picked up on the Magi-Nation feel, with the order for playing. I do remember the game, still have my cards including the original demo cards. I happen to have been a play tester for the game and had one of my card ideas published. I even beat the no. 3 ranked in state (IL) in a storyline tournament at Gen Con one year. So to the OP you might like to limit the amount of information you release to the general public. Others can take your ideas and use them for themselves.Misc.
-The Commander mechanic is basically a combination of the basic Life mechanics from MTG with the Magi from Magi-Nation Duel, though that may not necessarily be intentional (MND wasn't that well known).
just my two cents... -
Sorry to tell ya but she wasn't in War of the Worlds. That was Ann Robinson, still a great movie.
Here is the list of her appearances from IMDB.com...http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0623658/
forgot she did HUD, In Harms Way, and Breakfast at Tiffany's. -
OMG! She was a good actress, and I just love that movie. It's one of my favorite Sci-Fi movies next to Forbidden Planet, War of the Worlds and the Time Machine. She thought the movie was funny, shows how good she was.
Patricia R.I.P. you earned it.

Wow they have to go outside the US to recreate 1940's NY?
Quote:http://www.superherohype.com/news/ar...tions-revealedManchester's Northern Quarter is to be transformed into 1940s New York for a dramatic car chase in Captain America: The First Avenger. -

Looks like it might have been pulled, cause I get nothing.

Over all it was good for me....didn't get to play much on Friday because of car issues that needed to be taken care of. Now on Sunday my BF and I with another friend ran Posi for the first time, which I found to be pretty interesting. My BF was the mission holder and we were at a point when he had to run a fed-ex and I needed to get inspirs. So I hopped over to the AE building in Sky and while inside I hear this woohoo sound. I look around and at the window what do I see but a bunch of ghosts trying to get into the building to get at me. I run up and down the windows to my delight they kept following me. I then came up with this:
A new radio mission:
Attention all Heroes...AE building under attack by Spectral Follower's. Hero trapped inside...News at 10. -
I am so sorry to hear of you friend's passing. I know how hard it was for you and your family. I had 2 cats, 1 past just 1 year after my Dad (7 years ago), the other a few years ago at 15 yrs old. I miss them both and would love to have another one, but with my crazy work schedule it wouldn't be fair to my Mom or the cat.

I really can't see CoX is dying, not with Going Rogue about to come out. If the game was dying we wouldn't have GR to look forward too. Maybe it's just me. -

Woo Hoo. This works out great for me. Still have 2 vacation days and a personal day left to take before the end of March, when they reset. And a great b-day present to boot, it's the Tuesday afterwords. Thanks.
luv ya devs. -
That is better known as Black Friday, the biggest sale day of the Holiday season. It is the day where most stores are open from 5am to 11pm, and that is a day I get to work 18 hours with only 3 half hour lunches. The only fun I will have all day is watching the people rush in like a herd of cattle, shame I don't have video capabilities on my cell phone I would record it and put it up on YouTube.
-
Quote:Not for me I have to give work at least a 2 week notice to request vacation time. Still gonna try tho, and then there are no guarantees I will get the time off since it's the weekend before inventory. Man, I really don't want to go over there on my day off to fill out the paperwork but if I want he days off I guess I better. Plus I won't get my vacation check for 2 weeks so I will have to watch my pennies.*wonders if a week is enough prior notice to take a day or two off work...*
but I can deal with that.

Got started playing CoX 3+ years ago About 3 months later convinced the GF to try it. Now she's as bad, if not worse, of a Altaholic as I am.
But heck, we have fun playing together, so I can't complain...
Thank you for the time...
Quote:Grin. My better half got City Of Heroes around Christmas. I would watch over his shoulder, and enjoy watching, but when he asked me if I wanted to play, I would shudder and tell him it was way to violent....and I had never played a video game, and I was too clutzy...
I tried to make up for it by fetching him beer and snacks, and during double XP weekend I ensured he had all he needed to keep on killing.
Anyways, he felt I would really like it and the more questions I asked about what I was seeing over his shoulder, the more confident that I would indeed enjoy the game.
Sooo....He bought me a copy of the Good Vs Evil edition, paid for a year's subscription fee, installed the game on my computer, and even bought me a new video card and power supply when it was found my computer was lacking in that respect...all the while I was yowling like a scalded cat that I did not want to play.
I finally caved in because he had spent all that money...for the video card, he went to Best Buy and asked the salesman which video card he would install in his mother's computer if she were to take up City of Heroes....it was not cheap.
And, I decided this was something we could do together.
That was almost 33 months ago, actually, 33 months at the end of this month!
Those who want your wives and giirl friends to play.....beware.....she is going to want to kick off her shoes, and play the game upon coming home from work...your house or apartment will never be sparkling clean again, you will start to eat more take out, you might have to take up doing laundry, and she will wake you up in the early hours of the morning with a simply wonderful idea for a toon
Lisa-Looking forward to Blackwand
Thank you for the time...and it was 2 months not 3. The only difference is I let you sleep when I come up with a new toon idea and you seem to enjoy doing the laundry
.

I noticed the 5th beating up Council in Steel last night, boy was that fun to see.

Quote:I am having this same problem, keep getting a dbServer message earlier in the day now I get the server maybe down. Oh well hope they get it working soon.I just tried to get on. I was able to log on just fine, but when I click on the server to get my list of characters..... there's a pause.... then a pop up messege saying I can't connect. Lame. No warning or anything?
just my two cents.... -
I think this would be great, much easier that going to a trainer. And yes I then could deal with the time constraints then.

Quote:I hope you mean the costume pieces and not the costume slots. Costume slots are unlocked through the tailor at levels 20, 30, 40 and 50. You usually go to the Tailor in the back of the store. Level 20 is in Steel, 30 in IP, not sure where the level 40 and 50 ones are (haven't gotten a character to those levels yet, sorry)Where can I find a list of missions TF's or whatever else it is that I can run or need to do to unlock costume pieces? Can anyone help me with that. I mean those aside from the booster packs.
Can someone attach a link or list, please and thank you.
Now costume pieces can be purchased through WW (unless you know someone who has a complete set they are willing to give/sell you), other wise you will have to wait for the Halloween Event. At that time you can trick or treat to earn the costume pieces. Watch the forums for the announcement when this event will take place (the Devs' announce it sometime in early/mid October) and for the specifics (level ranges for zones, other gifts given etc.)
You can also check Wikipedia it is a players best friend.

Quote:Hands Steelclaw a hankyWhile I appreciate the good word... from everyone... I can no longer claim any reference of "gold" to my credit... pure or otherwise...
Not... not since ... not since I lost my Gold-Plated Steelclaw title... >>sniffles<<
OK, who took Steelclaw's Gold-Plated Title? Cough it up... come on give it back, no questions asked. Maybe we should form a search party and go looking for it? -
ROFLMAO
I love them they are great. Keep up the good fight Steelclaw. -
I basically have Strangler, Roots, Spore Burst, Seeds of Confusion, Vines, Carrion Creepers, and Fly Trap. Now it may depend on how your playing or with whom...I just got my first plant/emp to level 35 last night and I run with my BF's Katana/Fire Scrapper. I am looking to respec her and take out the Spore Burst(sleep) I don't even use it any more, just have to decide what I want to take instead. But I would definitely take the Seeds of Confusion, especially at level 8. Work it with the Roots slotted with damage, and giggle away, I have so much fun watching the baddies fight each other. I also love the Vines, Carrion Creepers and Giant Fly Trap. Fly Trap does more damage now since I14 changes, but still can get a little flighty. The Vines are a nice hold, for my BF's Scrapper, he goes in and burns them out. Carrion Creepers I have frankenslotted for slow/immobile/damage and use it when we have big mobs. Never took the Spirit Tree never saw a use for it, and never took Entangle it just seemed eh.

Sorry to hear your so upset, but I love most of the changes the Dev's have done for us.
As to the lag issues, it still can be your computer. I was having lag and freeze ups on both my rigs. One is at my home and happens to be 4 1/2 years old. I have upgraded it a couple of years ago. Even upgraded my internet service recently. I was still getting lag. Then it was suggested to me to check my registry. So I spent $25 and got a nice little registry cleaning program, and it worked. So I put it on my rig at my BF's, which happens to be 2 years old , and it help that one too. I have a better running computer now with almost no lag/freeze ups (can still get it at times at his house cause they have wireless internet). So just check your registry that might be the problem, never hurts to check it anyway.
just my two cents....
