  2. Sorry but the only 2 purples I would feel comfortable slotting into an Emp would be the Amazing & Fortunata.

    I do not mean to suggest anyone is wrong to slot more than 2 purples into an empath.
    My point is they are not necessary for an emp's performance in a team setting.

    So don't take it personal.

    With that in mind, here is my emp/sonic.

    He is more than adequate in a team setting.

    I focused on recharge & ranged def. when selecting sets.

    I did not include purples since I'd imagine most players(myself included) cannot afford them but substitute purples into the build where you like.

    I prioritized recharge, followed by melee defense. I thought to grab Burn and/or Hot Feet but neither of the duo would be able to lock mobs in place to counter the fear those powers cause.

    Substitute Surge of Power with Shocking Bolt for more recharge.

    In closing I will add that the blaster would have melee softcapped with Fortitude buff.

  7. I'd be happy with offline SG invites & promotions/demotions.

    The offline invites are just icing on the cake for me, not a necessity since you can beg someone to be a bridge to get an alt into the SG.

    What I think would be beneficial would be offline promotions/demotions. Think about it. This would even take care of the purpose of this thread.

    If you could promote your own alts in the SG so that only your alts have access to the various storage bins you've placed your valuables into, you would have a safe method of transfering the goodies.

    So I vote no on this feature.

    I will say we need an auto-pay feature in place for Base upkeep.

    This shouldn't be too expensive. ToD is a pricey set, and the procs but you can land the procs with bronze rolls...lvl 30 if I remember correctly.

    Roll some bronze lvl 10-14 for your steadfast.

    Travel Powers

    I prefer a travel power that is more than just for use to and from mish after mish.

    I prefer super speed as it grants partial stealth.

    I also like finishing various task forces asap.

    I therefore take super speed on all my creations, regardless of concept.

    Which is easy for me since my concepts tend to be extremely simplistic.
  12. Hello Bio.

    I am by no means as knowledgeable as most on these forums but I came up with a build based on your desire for a "melee range, team empathy" build.

    I noticed you have 1 LotG in your original build so I kept the 1 LotG in the build I came up with.

    Since you desired an empath who would be in melee range the majority of the time, I thought it was only prudent to get that melee defense bonus up so the build was built along 2 priorities: recharge, melee defense. I tried to squeeze every extra tenth of recovery I could find as well.

    I will add you're gonna have to stock up on blue inspirations BIG TIME. .99 endurance usage/2.04 endurance recovery. Tough times ahead I think. With this in mind, Atlas Medallion & Portal Jockey are an absolute MUST. They'll raise your recovery up to 2.24, which is significant.

    Short Circuit may seem underslotted but the difference from 3 to 6 slots is a difference of 53%endurance drain to 76% endurance drain. In either case you'll have to hit critters twice to drain them fully. I thought it were best to use those 3 slots elsewhere.

    I'm sure this build can be tweaked even further to be more efficient. This was a first attempt. Maybe 15 mins. of thinking went into it.

  17. Your build seems sufficient Uni. I won't tell you what you've done right or wrong since I have yet to play my traps up to lvl 50. What I will do is provide my build to give you a different path to softcapped positional. This build isn't very expensive, with the exception of Obliteration & the Decimations(I play on freedumb btw). The Miracle unique isn't tough to acquire either, for me at least. That's 2 posi's + 2 synapse....I can get those done in less than 7 days.
    I realize a lot of people like Cloud Senses for the drones but that set is nearly impossible to come by on the markets and I'm not about to spend merits on those set pieces. I do have a Q for anyone with the information. I thought to place 2 additional procs in PGT. Is this still a reasonable idea given PGT was fixed?

  21. We already have access to a type of "account bank." It's called a Supergroup Base.
    Now bases are not equipped to work as a bank on day one but it doesn't take much effort to get it to banking status.
    Once you've earned enough Prestige you will be able to equip your base with a storage bin for enhancements.
    Now instead of using the markets to xfer inf. from one toon to another, you simply make the enhancements your low lvl needs(made by your high lvl) and place them in the bin.
    There's your "account bank" without having to pay the middleman (10% market take).

    Obviously it's not as time efficient as your proposal but it gets the job done.

    For the record I would be in favor of an account bank, but I will finish by saying I'm content with how one might use their Base.
  22. The following is the build I'm gonna work to. With the exception of OBLITERATION, BLESSING-ZEPHYR, REACTIVE ARMOR, and MIRACLE this is a cheap build.

    I play on Freedumb & those 4 sets are EXPENSIVE. By expensive I mean not any of my toons wil have access to over 100Million inf. at any given time.

    Looking at other shield builds I may have missed something. Does one have to put a DEF in PHALANX in order to get the def. bonus per ally? Or does the enh. simply increase the base 3.75% bonus per ally?

    Again I aplogize but it looks like you can't put even the slightest effort to play with mids yourself to come up with some numbers.
  24. capping S/L is not my cup of tea but i have 2 changes you can make that will put you over the top.

    Replace Fire Breath with Boxing. If you're intent on staying in the thick of things then repositioning for FB could become tiresome.

    Put another 4piece Kinetic Combat in Boxing to get you at the cusp of softcap.

    Leaves you with 2 unspent slots. Place one in Stamina & the other in Tough.
    Slot the proc in Stamina & slot Steadfast unique in Tough.
