  1. Eclipse has a 300 second recharge. Given ED-capped recharge slotting I think you'll need around 80% global recharge plus Hasten. You need about 107% global recharge to get perma-Hasten, so if you can cram in that extra recharge and have the inf to burn, go for perma-Hasten. I did on my Warshade and I don't regret it.
  2. You will want a Corruptor for dueling or zone, simply because they have Aim. Elec/Therm is a very popular dueling build right now simply because it's very easy to kill a target with no endurance (and therefore no toggles). Otherwise Sonic/Therm, Fire/Therm, or Rad/Therm (my favorite, because there's a mez in its attack chain).
  3. Does this mean there are two of you now?
  4. An astute observer noticed that if you hover over the "unsubscribe" link in the email that was sent on behalf of NCSoft about this release, that it mentions something about Issue 16. Given that information (this game would release in conjunction with a free I16 update) I'd expect to see it this fall or winter.

WEREN'T YOU THAT BAD FLYING AR/DEV BLASTER

Now tell us how you really feel.
  6. "Don't PvP for a week" is like "don't buy gas for a day." You might think you're doing good, but ultimately it's meaningless.

I think Super Strength NPCs were given a brain transplant from the Bruiser. Even when set to melee preference they'd rather sit back and chuck rocks at me. I often have to break LoS to even get them to move.

On the other hand, my Fiery Assault NPCs like to open with Blazing Bolt, but then will close in to melee.
  8. Energy Melee's not nearly as good as it used to be. They massively increased Energy Transfer's animation a while back (went from I think 0.67 to 2.67 seconds) - so Elec's better for all-out damage and Spines is better if you want some ranged stuff. Can't go wrong with Elec/WP or Spines/WP.

Personal opinion, I'm sure, 'cause I'll run my Peacebringer or Warshade over my Widow or Soldier any day of the week.

I like my VEATs and Khelds for different reasons - if I want that evil "blow everything up" feeling, though, my Warshade is the first character I'll bring along. Only bad thing about being resist-based over defense-based is that on the ITF I ran last night, my 185% global recharge got turned into -120% very quickly (Nebulous Form ftw though!).

That would be my assumption as well.

My average (in arena) has been one per 60-70 kills. No idea what my zone average is since I don't know if it only applies to kills your team got, or kills which your team did a portion of the damage, or how many kills I've even had in zone PvP. Think I've had two drops in zones and probably around a dozen in the arena.

I've yet to see a good arch blaster. I understand they have good recharge, But any AT can get good recharge now adays. I've herd people say they get good damage out of Blazing arrow but I've never seen the numbers

Blazing Arrow does about 200 damage base, including the DoT. Archery also has a slight acc bonus to its attacks which more or less cancels Elusivity. Fast-activating tier 1 and 2 attacks also mean Archery can keep pinging a target to keep them suppressed for a very long time.

The problem as I see it is that getting recipe drops for defeats actual benefits a small percentage of players, namely those who have the ability to kill opponents consistently. With some datamining, I believe the Devs will find that only a small percentage of accounts have more than 1 PvP drop. If the norm is 0 to 1, and someone is found to have lets say 5 or more, then a bit of code needs to be installed which decreases their drop rate to 1:500kills. If you can't get the drop, then you can't cheat.. lol.

    [/ QUOTE ]
Right, let's reduce the drop rate to screw the "casual gamer" even more. That makes sense.

Also, last I checked the ability to kill enemies consistently wasn't an exploit.

I've been running Win 7 since the beta opened up in January....I was never fond of Vista, it didn't run well on some of my lower end systems, but they've sold me on Win 7. I'll be investing in this when it goes to the shelves.

This is pretty much my experience as well. If there are no reports of major things breaking when doing an upgrade install from XP to W7 I'll be putting it on my main desktop - otherwise I'll be with XP for a while longer.
  15. I went mostly for +HP, +regen, and +recharge on my SS/WP.
  16. I think most of us would, but it's not going to happen.

SoAs have the same pools Brutes had prior to I13.

Yeah level requirements for PvP drops are the same as normal drops. If you were exemp'd to 1 and killed that level 1 you'd get a chance at a drop, but as a natural 50 against a 1 you won't.
