Farming for Recipes
petitioning someone is a petitionable offense, the 11th commandment is: Thou Shalt Not Snitch!
When we created PvP Recipes, the goal was to have an outlet for really angry, mean-spirited players, using our assets, that insisted on being rewarded for participating in this kind of behavior. Other players could farm these recipes and the best-of-the best would rise to the top.
While we have accomplished some of those goals with the initial launch of PvP Recipes, some have found ways to abuse the system we put in place. We are not blind to this happening, nor did we not expect it. However, it is time to take action regarding it, so please be aware that we are about to implement a zero-percent "we don't care" policy on the extreme abuse we are seeing in the system.
One thing was made clear to me when I interacted with the players in the PvP Zones. It was that you guys really dont like me. The constant spam of "Posi you suck!", requests for Kill Posi missions, 5 player gank squads, and the inability to find quality players in the PvP Zones are all things I heard complaints about over and over while I was logged in on Tuesday.
So here is a list of things that are going to happen:
Nothing
Some of you have taken the stance of how does PvP hurt the game? and shouldnt I be able to play the game the way that I want? What we want to make clear is in order to keep the game easy, boring, and carebear, we have to maintain a PvP:PvE ratio. This is a ratio weve spent years attempting to achieve. PvP Recipes is not immune to this, and we are taking swift action to see that the problems players are seeing and are being exposed to are left ignored.

lol
why would it be illegal?

That was my question I thought the entire point of pvp was to gank someone over and over again
Next time they need to do arena matches lol

It shouldnt be illegal. As far as i know it isnt. Its not like your taking advantage of a exploit and if it wasnt for these people farming them using there accounts that they payed for or a friend to help out there wouldn't be any supply on the market for others that want them because there are not enough pvp'rs to bring alot to the market sadly.
The reason behind the pvp io's was to get people to pvp (as i beleived) but so far it hasnt worked. So it is up to us to get these by any means (non exploitive).
lol farming in zone....nooooobs.
Well if it isn't illegal I'm greatly surprised. It goes against the whole "The risk should equal the reward" thing they speak of so often. Not much risk when your friend just stands there and lets you kill them over and over for recipes lol.
Holy [censored], Lucas is still here?

and that is where the risk is = not illegal.. if you have a problem with it, go kill them. same with the farmers in RV
The problem as I see it is that getting recipe drops for defeats actual benefits a small percentage of players, namely those who have the ability to kill opponents consistently. With some datamining, I believe the Devs will find that only a small percentage of accounts have more than 1 PvP drop. If the norm is 0 to 1, and someone is found to have lets say 5 or more, then a bit of code needs to be installed which decreases their drop rate to 1:500kills. If you can't get the drop, then you can't cheat.. lol.

If your not good at pvp then thats not the devs fault. The more you play the better you will get, and the more kills you will get. I mean what do you expect it to be like? Walk in the zone and kill NPCs for PVP IOS?
ummmm so your gonna make the people who are good suffer because they get to many recipes that they work hard to earn. lol

Right, let's reduce the drop rate to screw the "casual gamer" even more. That makes sense.
Also, last I checked the ability to kill enemies consistently wasn't an exploit.
"One day we all may see each other elsewhere. In Tyria, in Azeroth. We may pass each other and never know it. And that's sad. But if nothing else, we'll still have Rhode Island."
I hated the recipe drops at first. I would be ganked by 3-4 heroes if i was in a duel, or if i win, the team would kill me there.
Then i realized that it was an excuse for ganking. So i got my stalker and it's non-stop kill everybody. And i get paid for it.
I forgot how fun pvp could be without everybody standing around watching and if u try to kill one, you get killed as your team watches.
As for farming recipes in pvp zones...it doesn't really affect me. You could even go in and swoop the final blow to get it from them, but i have no problem with it.

LOL, you mean if I refuse to build a 2-hit wonder stalker? Or Brute?
It's not about LRN2PVP, it's the fact that the SUCCESSFUL CONSTANT KILL builds which don't need the drops will get them while the CONSTANTLY KILLED builds will hardly ever get them. No sir, it's not LRN2PvP, it's time that equity be coded into PvP.
You know as well as I that it's the Stalker/Scrapper/Brute builds which cause the majority of kills in prime time PvP. And are they the ones who could really benefit from the PvPIO's? No, it's the less popular builds which really could use those drops. Rather, I'd like to see temp power drops with a time expiration rather than IO set bonuses. The result would be the power still being useful, and if a less successful build gets a drop it will actually be useful to them.
Lets have drops like the following, (none of these can simultaneously be activated):
Ultimate Stealth - equating to Stalker hide/stealth/IO. This would allow any player a 1 gameday timed power, clickable and activating Every 10 minutes and lasting 2minutes.
UltimateSpeed - a non-suppresable run power, akin to I12 ability. Same timing specs as above.
UltimateHP - a 100%HP Bonus that lasts for 2mins but then drops all endurance to zero. Same recharge/time specs as others.
UltimateEND - Unlimited Endurance for 5 minutes dropping to zero with same recharge specs and time limitations.
UltimateDMG - 50%DMG Increase for 2mins, recharges every 30 minutes.
UltimateElude - Similar to SR set Elude, just everyone can get it. 30 minute recharge, 1day timer.

This is wrong.
Please learn what you're talking about before you try making statements like these. Thank you.

These dont exist anymore btw.. or have you pvp'd since i12?
I'm assuming that farming friends/alt accounts in PvP zones for the recipe drops is an illegal practice but not being entirely sure I figured I'd ask here before reporting these people the next time I see it. Its been going on regularly the past few nights in Bloody Bay on Freedom. So... is this a petitionable offense?
