I had two heat exhaustions hit me the other day at the same time from two corruptors...that's just not right 
Seems to me an elec corruptor would be the way to go for it's ability to drain end and do -rec that would stack with heat exhaustion. Also, you can get the sentinel pet that is untargetable and if you go Scirocco you can get a mu that helps drain end.
Elec is definitely the best, so you can maximize end drain. But if you just want to maximize damage, probably sonic or fire would be best. I have a sonic/therm...but I made mine when people made therms to actually buff people. 
I got a Mind/Thermal Troller I use for Arena Team. For the TK and Therm stuff. But for dueling and Zone I would saying going with a Curr not a troller.
You will want a Corruptor for dueling or zone, simply because they have Aim. Elec/Therm is a very popular dueling build right now simply because it's very easy to kill a target with no endurance (and therefore no toggles). Otherwise Sonic/Therm, Fire/Therm, or Rad/Therm (my favorite, because there's a mez in its attack chain).

How big a deal is the base accuracy buff in rad? by the numbers it looks like it should matter given my understanding of the new tohit mechanics... it looks like the equivalent of a small helping of tohitbuff that isn't cut down by DR...

It's big enough that it makes a few percent difference, which can somtimes be crucial in ensuring your attack chain (and debuffs) start to hit reliably, on the off chance Aim isn't up.

I have to admit a bias. I want the right answer to be rad... it's just so much cooler...

So why not do a Rad/Therm? It's probably not the "best" but it works very well. Hitting X-ray Beam for 500 damage (after Scourge) is awesome.

The best thing about rad is that it can be procced a lot. Lots of options.
I added the -res proc to N-Bolt and the Lady Grey proc to the other two. I used 5x Decimation for the recharge bonus so only had room for one proc per attack.

Remember one of the VORI guys telling me Rad Blast + Proc was killer.
Kurgain was nuts on his Elec/Therm.
Fire Blast seems to have fallen out of favour.

I've been very impressed with a couple of the thermals I've fought in zones. I thought I might roll one or two of them to try them out.
Curious to know what people would suggest as a primary?
At this point I could be quite happy blue or red side so anything goes.
