I don't actually think I remember Giggles. I didn't really start PvPing until last summer, if he was still around then.
-
I think Giggles is a pretty cool guy, eh ownz noobz and doesn't afraid of anything.
-
Incidentally, it was that thread on "who was Jranger?" that inspired me to do a search for his posts, and lo and behold came this gem (probably only still here because Castle posted in it).
-
I wouldn't complain if Warshades got the equivalent of the old Fold Space power (a "recall team" power that was in Gravity Control way back when).
-
No. Even at the recharge cap (nigh impossible to hit solo) there's still a short downtime. Same goes for every tier 9 except Eclipse for Warshades (unless I'm forgetting something).

The amount of people who quit because exploits were closed is minuscule compared to the amount of people who would have quit if the exploits remained open.
[/ QUOTE ]
That's like saying "the amount of people who would have quit the game if ED hadn't happened is greater than the number who quit because of ED" or "the number of people who would have quit the game if PvP hadn't been changed is greater than the number who quit because of the changes." In other words, it's completely untrue. Besides, people aren't leaving because of the closing of "exploits" (Meows? Not an exploit. Snake Eggs and the Vanguard Ouroboros flashback? Those are exploits.), they're leaving because of how badly the entire situation was handled. -
I'd totally go and double-check DR on +range if my Psi/EM hadn't been deleted...

i'm still hoping that someday weapons customization will be added

What do you think the screenshot in the OP was? DUHHH!

Just to give a rough idea of scale, a Blaster running Boost Range (gives a 75% range boost AFAIK) gets DR'd to somewhere in the mid 50s. I'd assume 30% would get DR'd to somewhere around 20.

The timer was not added because of PvP. It was added because the devs didn't want people to use it to ghost through missions completely untouchable. Since that would still be possible without a timer, don't expect it to go away.
[/ QUOTE ]
You can ghost through mission undetected with two layers of stealth (SS+IO, Hide, SS+Stealth, etc.), so I have a hard time believing that's the problem. At any rate I don't mind the 30-second forced detoggle but why keep the "nophase" period in? If you want to chain phase powers you need to have more than one and that's not usually something people will go out of the way for. I'd kill to be able to use Phase and Hibernate interchangeably on my PvP Therm because sometimes I'd rather use one over the other, and thanks to the nophase period, I can't use either during a certain period after I've already used one. -
The only things a Stalker can two-shot anymore are squishies that didn't build for +HP and aren't running a resist-based shield (or buffs). Only time I've ever two-shot something on my Stalker was a Warshade in Nova form (BU + AS + Shark), but that was in RV. In Siren's I can see it being a bit different but low-level PvP is boring to me.

Any good MM slots for pet recharge and scatters their pets to keep them out of AoE. Pain pets actually have a huge advantage since they can hit through debuffs a lot better thanks to WoP. Most MMs can't even kill a pain in BG, and a good pain has a minion resummon every 30 seconds-ish which is way faster than you can kill them without dropping BG. Any smart MM that sees his pets going down faster than he is is going to go into partial BG and make you pay grievously.
[/ QUOTE ]
How do you scatter your pets? That is something I would definitely like to do. True, a MM can resummon pets pretty fast, but you just have to know when the right time is, to turn and attack the MM. If you spend the entire match fighting pets against pets, hoping you kill enough pets to make his BG mode useless, then you will most definitely end in stalemate or a loss. There's a synergy between BG mode and attack my target agressive mode that you have to master.
[/ QUOTE ]
Constant micromanagement of your pets. In arena matches I usually use defensive goto to move my tiers of pets apart from each other (outside of AoE range but still in BG mode range) and try to keep them separated during the fight. -
Yes, they play. They are almost never on their "dev" accounts so you wouldn't know you were teamed with one even if you were. Some of the "higher-ups" have been known to play on Justice - however, they play on I'm guessing every server.
As far as "signature characters," those characters are represented in-game by a specific build. Like you mentioned, BaBs is an Invuln/SS Tank. Castle's a Fire/Fire Blaster, Ghost Widow is a Dark/Dark Corruptor (or a variation thereof), and so on. -
I have a high metabolism. I've been at about 155 pounds (I'm 6'3") for the last few years despite getting not enough exercise.

Except with Hibernate, all you have to do is lay down some debuffs where they're Hibernated. When they come out they're screwed (unless they're one of the ones who takes Hibernate and Phase, which IMO is almost a must for zones).

Merms is dating herself? How does that work?

Aside from that, I'll definitely say that if there was any defensive power set that could afford to take on such a Tier 9 short changing and survive, Regen would be it.
[/ QUOTE ]
Hooooooo boy, if you think the current version of MoG is shortchanging the set... -
Problem with making the res unenhanceable in powers such as that is people that use them as a place to slot -KB IO's would lose that power. The ability to get 16 points of KB protection using a total of four slots across both the Cold shields is pretty awesome.

I'm going to assume they're comparable to villainside - the recipe sells from 500-600 mil and the crafted goes from anywhere to 200-500 (a WTF kinda moment for me).

It's always a good idea, Smoke!
