  1. Having same issue on Infinity and Freedom since last night. I play in Iowa for what that is worth.

I ran a pathping and I'm only 11 hops to the game at 393ms with 1 dropped packet So I really am at a loss as to why I'm getting crazy red and yellow spikes.

I even went as far as to turn off the sending of any buff numbers to reduce network traffic and that wasn't useful at all.

I know for Perma PA I needed to be able to have the power recharge in 56.7 seconds to be able to actually keep PA out perma.

I have noticed with Domination in the past that when the power expires and the Domination bar starts it drain animation that if I click before the bar zeroes out I am able to get dom back up again. So perhaps you don't have to cover all 1.32 seconds of cast time?

I fit both combustion and ice storm in there. So now i generally always have at least oen AoE up and i think it fits my goals as it gains decent AoE without giving up a very noticeable amount of STdps (unfortunatly he isnt soft capped though) After testing it out for a bit i noticed something... I'm not perma dom without hasten, going afk is gonna be a ***** now. lol
Ageless will get you there if you don't want to change any slotting. tier 4 works out to around 22% global recharge boost. More than Enough to keep you perma even out of hasten.

You can also swap to 5 piece of Oblits in Combustion and get to to perma dom minus hasten. That is a bit harder on end of course but you have Consume every 50 seconds and dom every 89.1 to top of the end bar so you should be able to manage it.

I'm putting a bunch of procs in mine, do I need the Acc or not? I'm probably still slot a 2nd Positron's blast for the +Rec bonus, but rather than Acc/Dam, I'd do Dam/Rchg or Dam/End
The vines that are summoned have two attacks, Vine Smash and Vine Thorns that are not auto hit and need ACC.

I think that this is a rather confusing way to state that Brutes have Tanker def/res caps with Scrapper def/res base vaules and mods but maybe thats just me.

Also your a bit off on Brutes having taunt auras and Scrappers lacking them. RttC, Invincibility and AAO all have a taunt component for all AT's as having a scaling buff power that didn't make enemies cling to you would be of little use.

I do however agree that Scrappers and Brutes all have their place in the game and you should play what you enjoy.

Icestorm+Sleet has been great on my Mind/Fire. I do however use Fire Breath instead of Terrify. Terrify just ruins the damage that confused mobs should be doing to each other and I like to think of those confused mobs as a source of AOE damage.

You will never when solo farming run into a situation where you can not keep damage capped with insp while using a set of keybind/macro's/popmenu to combine with.

Most of the people that I have seen farming for cash will not take a full group. Most will take 3 along, some as many as 5. I have rarely seen someone wiling to take a full team into the farm.

If farming lowbies up then they ought be be running keybinds and passing them to you as they come into their trays. Are people really that lazy that they can't be bothered to assist in the pl'ing of their toons?

Now if your charging them to be pl'ed then perhaps their attitude of not passing you insp makes sense since they are buying a service. When I pay for pl I always pass the insp along anyway because I want it done as fast and keeping the farmer at the damage cap is the best way for me to assist.
  9. [QUOTE=Granite Agent;3837794] Has perma Earth's Embrace for ~1600hp with accolades.

You are capped without the accolades. If you don't want them for some other purpose then you don't need to spend the time on them.

Because you have no need of Rage, Build Up, Follow Up or any other plus damage power once your at the damage cap and can keep the skittle rain falling fast enough to stay there.
  11. On a semi related note. When damage capped on a Controller does the damage from containment occur as a proc effect added to each attack and thus allow you to circumvent the damage cap or is the containment damage wasted?

So more AoE isn't a big concern of mine at this point. I feel as though I'll get by with Burn/Blazing Aura/Dark Oblit and Shadow Maul.
You can for sure get by that way and if farming isn't going to be an activity you engage in everyday I don't think you will notice the difference all that much.

I would say that once you have picked up Ageless you can easily swap out Cardiac for Spiritual to get that much more out of Healing Flames and SL. That would also lower your downtime on hasten and allow you to more often run the SM>MG>SM>SL attack chain which is one of the better chains from what I have seen in the dps threads.
  13. Edited because I am tired and had a long day at work and forgot that not everyone is going to hack their mids to have Kat on brutes already and even if you did it most likely wouldn't load nicely into my hacked version.

I believe on top of all of that there simply is less mobs, or less exp return in it as well since people earned less influ while doing clears in other ambush farms. The only good thing about it is it has fire mobs and ambushes. I currently run FIRE! quite a bit, but I know there are better maps. I've just been too lazy to work through my list I have to see what one I like the best.
Yeah Amy hit it right on the head for the short comings of the cyborgs map.

For ticket farming anything in the Gville conference room is nice. Clearing 3 or 5 ambushes should cap tickets on that map.

If I am just pl'ing a friend I am going into the caves since I want to load as few times as possible and you got 95 or so spawns in there that don't require me to move more than once or twice.

I haven't bothered to find a good map for pl'ing for inf since I don't do that. Although since I have been using others that provide that service lately I really should find an optimal 5 mission arc and pre pay for those runs.
  15. Have you slotted anything in the incarnate trees yet?

With DM you may find that if you plan on doing any amount of personal farming that you might like /mu better than /soul for your epic to be able to pick up 1 more AOE.

Personally I just love Gloom in all it's dpa glory to much to pass it up on any brute but DM/ is the one case where I can almost talk myself into it.

Pretty much all the damage aura's are like this as is the brute version of evasion, which was given a taunt aura when it was ported to brutes. Some scrapper secondaries do have the a similar taunt as brutes though - AOO in shield defense, Invincibility in Invulnerability and RttC in WP all have taunt effects although they tend to be mag 3 vs the brutes mag 4.
RttC is especially irksome due to the -tohit debuff causing the "Oh noes I be debuffed" code to kick in and scatter mobs and then the weak taunt not keeping them leashed as tightly as say AAO does. At least in my experience.

Overall this issue more than anything else has kept me on Brutes over scrappers. I can't enjoy a melee toon that doesn't get a damage aura and I want that aura to keep things glued to me not cause them to scatter in fear of my awesomeness.

Why can't the in game server list update status?
The game is "broken" they had to take it down for emergency stability fix after the hardware upgrades today and are now pushing out a hotfix for the issues with no eta on server uptime.
  19. You didn't take Mass Confuse. That makes me a sad sad person. Is that because you don't like the power or for a concept reason?

I find TK of marginal use most of the time and easily to skip. At the levels of recharge your have in that build Terrify can be skipped also

If you want +Def and more AOE dip into the Ice epic. I find it to be the best all around epic pool. Two Aoe's, one of which is a nice debuff, a plus hp power and a +Def shield. The only downside is the ice shield annoys some people as it can obscure your costume.

I think we view well rounded in different ways.

I look at well rounded as being able to perform at a above average level in the widest possible range of situations.

From your statements I am taking you to mean well rounded as keeping as many different types of stats as close to even as possible.

I use Ageless to obviate any endurance issues. When I only had Ageless at tier 3 I had to hit consume once every 3 minutes to top off end til the next recharge. Now at tier 4 I never have an issue, I have yet to see my end recovery dip below 5eps since then.

This build is far from perfect but it serves well for a multitude of situations in the game.
  23. What is the goal with the build?

Easier to offer an opinion when the end goals are made clear.

Ultrawatt I pulled his data chunk and reposted for you since the OP hadn't got back round to it yet.

Now being as that was at least 6 hours into me watching the Usteam event that day since the severs were down for what seemed like Aeons I am sure I blurred QA into GM or something of that nature.

I wanted to go back and dig thru the Ustream cast to find the right moment but they are not exactly user friendly to fastforward or scan through for one person popping in their head for all of idk 20 seconds.

Man nothing makes you feel more like an idiot than checking twitter on your lunch and seeing the com manager point your being wrong in a post. Made me feel special though

    Scrappers Solo?

If you tend to play alone a lot then a scrapper or a brute is a great choice to solo with.

Great damage pair with good to excellent mitigation makes solo work much easier for these AT's than some of the squishier ones.

As Amy Stated it really is just about as easy as picking Any/Any. Some have more min/max potential than others but I can't think of a one that isn't able to solo well. You may need to find the sweet spot on your diff slider based on your AOE/ST mix but thats bout it.

I would like to say there are a myriad of options out there that solo well. As fun as scrappers are don't get trapped into thinking you have to play one to be able to solo and have fun.
