Sorry for the lengthy title. I come to you, fellow Bruters, for sage advice, constructive critiquing and honest opinions as it relates to this re-vamp of my very first Brute (and first 50 villian). He currently has a mix-mash of generic IOs and some cheap sets.

I'd like this build to do a little bit of everything. A jack-of-all trades as it were. In game, I run tips missions for V-merits, Task Forces and Trials (including incarnate), ticket farming and Pling for fun/profit and the random PuG. I don't need (and can't really afford) a beast of a build here (hence the lack of purples). I really just want something that I won't faceplant with before RotP can recharge. To sum up all of my desires I guess I'd say, "I don't want to be noticed but I won't be ignored."

Have you slotted anything in the incarnate trees yet?

With DM you may find that if you plan on doing any amount of personal farming that you might like /mu better than /soul for your epic to be able to pick up 1 more AOE.

Personally I just love Gloom in all it's dpa glory to much to pass it up on any brute but DM/ is the one case where I can almost talk myself into it.

I currently have the T3 cardiac but no other incarnate slotted. Eventually, I'd like to slot in Reactive/Ageless/Pyro/w/e Lore is a thematic fit for my toon. Farming is really just a side distraction when nothing else is really going down or I can find a weathly player to, um, donate infamy to me for a run or two. So more AoE isn't a big concern of mine at this point. I feel as though I'll get by with Burn/Blazing Aura/Dark Oblit and Shadow Maul.

You can for sure get by that way and if farming isn't going to be an activity you engage in everyday I don't think you will notice the difference all that much.

I would say that once you have picked up Ageless you can easily swap out Cardiac for Spiritual to get that much more out of Healing Flames and SL. That would also lower your downtime on hasten and allow you to more often run the SM>MG>SM>SL attack chain which is one of the better chains from what I have seen in the dps threads.

I hadn't even considered swapping Cardiac for Spirtual after I get Ageless. Godd call on that. The benefit of that attack chain you mention does sound downright evil.

This is my DM/Fire build. So far he works fine in all departments and use him to farm too. Went for Spiritual to reduce Hasten downtime, I guess it could be reduced even more with some tweaking but as it's working for me as it is, decided not to bother. You can still be softcapped with 1 Enzyme and 1 LotG Def/End in Weave so you can save 350 million for that second Enzyme:

Might be probably effective build but I know it wouldn't fit my playstyle. A lot of inf spent there and yet no perma-hasten or not S/L softcap plus the 1.95 end/sec seems massive despite having both Consume and Dark Consumption (1.95 end/sec with Sprint on, without sprint it's 1.66, still high I think). I take the rchg IO in Assault is a mistake and you meant an endrdx one. Toggling Assault on would make end usage really really scary (even with Sprint off, Assault slotted with an endrdx would take the build to 1.93 end/sec).-
