  1. Ooh, yeah, I'll play!

Expanding one of Fernrisulfr's... "Everything" and "The Kitchen Sink"

"All that" and "A Bag of Chips"

    "Soup" to "Nuts"

"Long of it" and "Short of it" You could put 'The' in the front of those.

"Bells" and "Whistles", but that's not exactly right...

    "Across" and "The Board"

"Wall" to "Wall". Although, you'll probably have to do it "Wal1" and "Wa1l" or maybe "WalI" and "WaIl"...

"Hook" "Line" and "Sinker", but you only have two, so... Maybe "Hookline" and "Sinker".... no, that's stupid, forget I said it....

'bout all I got, sans what you have up there.

The others have said it above, but this isn't a troll, it's the truth, for me. I thought I knew plenty about Co*, and now realize that I don't know squat in comparison to others. PinnBadges can attest, I've been asking a lot of questions lately that, to me anyway, feel as though I probably should already know the answers to. But I don't, because before it wasn't all that important. Now it is, as this Brute is an oddity and needs all the help in certain offensive areas he can get. Playing a Claws/WP Scrapper is a *ton* easier when you don't have to worry about outlasting the opponent for a long time, for example.

They're a patient bunch, them PinnBadges people. I appreciate their patience with me.

Grats to the dude who solo'd his Mind/Rad troller. I myself did a Mind/Kin to 50 though, so yeah, I know it can be done.

    ---

The Jump Kick Brute is taking a back seat, but not forgotten. She's sidelined because I'm goin' after BH's Alpha slot. Moar Damage, so that's... Cardiac, I think.

    --

And in that pursuit, I did the Night Ward missions from Belladonna, and I totally beat Praetor Sinclair, solo, the 50+3 EB that he was. It was tough, and took forever (like 40 minutes or so) but there *is* a strategy that is easily applied. And once I figured it out, he was toast. Slowly cooked over low low heat toast, but toast nonetheless.

Oh yeah, and no inspirations, just BH vs Sinclair, mano y mano, in case that matters. I ran out, he regened, and I had to start over... and figured it out how to do it without the inspirations. w00t or something.

I acknowlege there's about 0 chance an AV version of him is beatable with just Brawl. He'd hit too hard, and there wouldn't be enough DPS to take him out. I don't care, this dude was *hard* to beat. I'm quite pleased with myself taking out the +3 EB, so there

Brawling Humiliator has to be my all time favorite character, seriously. I have to *think* to deal with his flaws of no offense, Figure out a way to beat the enemy with what I got. And that is actually quite fun for me. Chess with a superhero. Heh.

    ---

Edit: Much later, figured out it's Musculature, not Cardiac, I need.
  3. The story was told. Let it be.

    /moneygrab.

    I'm drunk

Of course. Better to be at a slightly elevated BAC when you get there. Party time!
  5. Oh, yeah, I'd be in on that. SLJ as Robocop would be Winx1000 at least.
  6. Ooooohhh.... Sister Flame likes a *challenge* does she?

Well... tell her to make Brawl only Blaster and get it to 50. Solo, street sweeping only. Take off the solo/sweep thing to go Incarnate, but solo the Alpha slot missions.

    That should keep her occupied.

/Awesome to hear the tales are continuing, Wyll!
//Oh, ok, perhaps a tank or broot or scrap instad of a blaster.
    ///Yes, it can be done...>.>
////I probably should shut up about it though...

    Motorcycles!

Ok, a '66 Fairlane two door, blue, with a black vinyl top, 3 speed on the tree, and an FM Radio in it. Got it?
  8. My favorite toon is Gir. Duh. Although there is something to be said for the awesomeness that is Stimpy, but definitely Gir wins hands down.

    ---

My favorite character to play in the game is currently my Brawl only Brute, Brawling Humiliator, Pinnacle, 50 and goin' Incarnate already. Soloin' EBs Bashing faces. A singular accomplishment and I still cackle madly when he does something that he really has no business doing, like participating and completing and definitely NOT causing the fail of a Master of Miss Liberty Task Force.

Well done! I think. I won't presume to speak for you, but I really wonder if some part of you wants those 268 hours back.
Naw, it was too fun, I don't miss the hours at all. I learned a lot, playing 'Chess' against the game to see if it could be done. Not sure if everything used to make BH work would translate to another character, due to the slotting. But the mechanics of the game? That knowledge? Oh yeah, my awesome claws/wp scrapper Homeslicer, if I rebuilt him using some of BH's knowledge, would just be plain *scary*. Thing of Bigness too, the SS/Inv Broot, and he's pretty powerful now.

As it is, I've rolled the Kick Jump only Brute, and... I gotta say, it's just hilarious to me to see this jumping only dervish slam the enemies in the jaw with bootheels. I dunno why. Oh, and sometimes they get knocked up in the air? Frackin funny stuff. Then, at level 6, I got Hasten. O. M. G., that is a serious contender for DPS, it recharges so fast, she's literally jumping non stop.

Dang it, I'm smiling thinking about the silliness. I can't wait to get Hasten to Perma on this one.

    I know. I'm an oddity.

/I had no ideaaa... - Gir
//There's still so much to learn, 8 years in... o.0
  10. 268 hours total, I want to say, when I clicked the M name after celetraining at Miss Liberty, Johnny.

Leo, the plan is this: Moar defense is good, sure, but really want to get moar recharge and moar damage. BH can take a lot of hits, and heals pretty good with a posse, but he needs more DPS, and brawl can only do that if it recharges faster and hits harder. With Build Up and Hasten. The 25 seconds that Hasten isn't on is torture, makes a 24 second LT take down into 30 or such. >.<

As such, anything that'll also protect him from -Recharge is a good thing, so I'll be looking into that too.

    ---

But honestly, I am really intrigued by the jump kick only brute. That sounds... fun. And with the knockdown, that sounds moar better.

Numbers wise, looks doable. But I would rather not do a WP this time, thinking invuln, SR or Regen... not sure. I had that same thought re: stone armor. But... that slowness with Rooted. You'd have to have rooted... I have a stone/stone brute and he's pretty fun, but man, rooted...

I should probably refrain from doing it though...

...But I probably will start it. Oh, and a female this time. Because that'll be awesome, a lithe jump kickin' woman. Yep. Good stuff.

The real problem is that you can't get Jump Kick (or Kick for that matter) until level 4. So I'd have to use whatever the main is to get there... OOOH. I could team on a DFB and not do anything. Yeah. That'll tick the team off...

Naw, here we go... use Battle Axe or Titan Weapons. Use them until level 4, then in the bio use the excuse of "it was just too heavy to use it, but she carries the Axe/TW around because it gives her awesome kicking powers due to the runes inscribed on it." Or something. Yeah, there's the excuse. Now it's doable.
  11. Jump kick only brute? Hm. Not as slow as Brawl, I bet... and a knockdown proc would be cool in it...... I may just roll one, just to be able to come back later and say "there, next?"

/BH is movin' on up the Incarnate stuff though. Did a BAF, and then did a Master of Ms. Liberty TF (Formerly the STF) and we got the badge first time.
//I'm not sure he was much help though... I tanked and bapped as much as possible...
  12. The most awesome thing I've done, I think, is get a Brute to 50 a couple of days ago.

Now, why is that? Because he only used Brawl, in the streets, solo, to get there.

/Then he went and did the Alpha slot arc from Mender Ramiel solo too, so he's on his way to Incarnate.
  13. ... gettin' to 50?

Well, now you have. Brawling Humiliator (Pinnacle) is now a 50. Using Brawl/ Will Power/ Energy Mastery. Woot.

Brawl was the only, and will be the only, directly offensive power used. And he soloed the Alpha slot missions to boot.

/oh, he's got a mace, but he just holds it when he fires off Build Up.
//It looks cooler when he does that but still baps them in the face.
///All Solo and street sweeping too. No missions, no teams. But he's 50 now, so that rule goes bye. He'll team and mission now.
////Well... Have to admit the two teams for badging, no XP for Adamastor and Jurassik.
/////And I gotta say he did no XP tip missions to go Vigilante, which really wasn't worth it.
//////I gave the loot and the Inf gained during those away, so they really didn't count for anything.
///////Oh yeah, that one ITF attempt. Didn't work out. Ditto gains given away.
  14. Thanks, denziens of PinnBadges, for putting up with me on the epic ride for Brawling Humilator. I know I gabbed and probably was overly enthusiastic about him, but he sure was fun to get to 50!

Those who don't know... he was a "no teams, no missions" solo street sweeping Brute using Brawl/ Will Power/ Energy Mastery.

That's right, Brawl only. He took War Mace, but only because he can look cooler holding it while he bashed people in the face with his fist. Never actually used the Mace, ever. Just Brawl.

He dinged 50 in DA yesterday evening. Woot! I am still smiling about that.

The 'no teams/missions' thing is now lifted, as there's no real way to Incarnate him otherwise. And since that's the deal, he went and soloed the Alpha slot missions.

    With Brawl. Only.

I still am shaking my head at that. That's just... silly. Heh.

The Honoree was hardest, and Holtz was second hardest. The Minotaur was easiest, he was a wuss, literally. Trapdoor was interesting, but even he got Brawled to defeat.

I can't wait to run the ITF. That's tomorrow... which is Today here.

Anyway, PinnBadges, I'm sorry if I annoyed with my talkative self about him. I was, and am, having a ton of fun with BH. And now... he's a hella tank. I'mma be a good team mate, I think.
  15. +1.

I continue to find things to do, explore, and discover. And I am still enjoyin' the heck out of the game, and the people that play it.

    Viva Co*!
  16. I simply want a way to exit it myself, and continue if I can. The rest who wanna watch, can watch and then catch up, they'll be all right. Except in the naughty case where I drag some bad guys to them to get them torn up. In which case, you simply are put in 'limbo status' until you move. There, I fixed it.

Barring that, I am all for the voting... and being able to click it IN THE SCENE somewhere... like at the bottom corner or such.

And the macro thing. +1 M_B's post.
  17. Straight to Netflix/Hulu/Dvd fodder, you ask me. Although, it *does* have Max Von Sydow... still.
  18. Brawl/WP. Tank city. Just ask Nemesis when he had 12 GMs in AP that time.

    /srsly.

Ditto. Been quite the while. Always fun, I should roll a character up to play that again.

Talshak's Heart of the Hollows, though. I had to run that back in December when I got Rose Dawn to 50. I hadn't run it but once back in I4 or such. o.0

Wasn't the same though. I had a better computer, Rose was well stocked with slots even exemplared, and although we had a little trouble here and there... we pretty much steamrolled through the last mission.

The previous single time, the local lag trying to draw all that crap going on just made it... difficult, let's say. And we had SUCH a time getting people to the obelisks and timing it right... Way more fun/challenging back then.

It's really pretty in there, though. Got some good screenies this time. Good times, good times.

/Yes, only twice have I run that one.
    //Seems odd to me, anyway.
///It *was* years... but now it's only months. Still.
  20. You is just so lucky, Tony. Nice!
  21. houtex

    i won got dmg

    Go-go-Gadget-Translation:

    I won the game!
But... how do I make the game more?
It's not bad, I can stay interested in it.
    I won!
Therefore, you should Win. Or Win not. There is no try. (ok, I took a little liberty with that one...)

Uh... even after that, I'm thinking Pancakes too, Toast. The ones on a bunny's head kind.

  22. Old adage of "measure twice, cut once" applies to more than just carpentry... works for checks too.
  23. Put a new fan/cooler on it. Save the money for the rig you want, not a patch you don't really need if it's just a fan/cooler issue.

    I suggest this:
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835118050
    http://www.zalman.com/ENG/product/Pr...ad.asp?idx=340

It's cheap enough, and will get you through the rough patch. Provided, of course, the video card isn't already shot from overheating. But this is the path I'd be taking.
