The problem with the old DA was you couldn't *see* the ambiance. It was entirely grey until you flew into the side of a building. It was possibly a good idea on paper but visually it made no sense.
It's kinda sad to say this but I'm not going to miss the old DA. It was a noble attempt but the idea that you enter a zone and look around and the entire world is just grey in every direction is just not good design. -
So far all the advice seems spot on. I like Willy Wheeler's arc in Cap, and he introduces Seer Marino. Dr. Shelly Percey also has some good arcs in Cap, and she introduces Marshal Brass, a good contact for the history of Cap au Diable.
In Sharkhead, I also liked Dean MacArthur and Doc Buzzsaw. Don't overlook the Strike Forces, Virgil Tarikoss in Cap and Operative Renault and Mortimer Kal in Sharkhead.
In addition, you should be on the lookout for Tip missions. These appear in your Contacts window, on a tab marked "Tips". These are a bit like newspaper missions, but generally more plot intensive and have more "design" in them. While you are doing Tip mission, you'll have the opportunity to "go rogue" and bring your villains to Paragon City, for even more content. However, don't discount the usefulness of staying Villain and getting villainous alignment merits, which can be a huge boost to building a character.
Also, now that you are VIP, don't overlook Praetoria. Praetoria has a lot of plot driven arcs, and overall is a lot prettier than either Paragon City or Rogues Isles. You'll need to start a new toon, of course, and there's no DFB, but I think you'd enjoy the content there a lot. -
If your sub ran out the same day that you re-subscribed, I think you are ok. If it was like two or three days before you re-subscribed, I'm afraid you may be out of luck.

I also think that down arrow on the window frame on the upper right of the chat pane will restore the window to split mode if you click it.

Quote:Beffore they went free the max was 32 characters per server. At that time the sub came with 8. i paid for 28 slots. But when they increased it ot 12 the differince got lost.
So its 36 - 8 +2 and othere vet rewards
Right, everyone had 12 going into Freedom, and we had those extra slots for a couple of years or so. You might have thought that those were awarded slots or something, Malin, but they were free slots that everyone got. But you don't get to spend those 4 free slots now that you are premium, they were part of your subscription.
So that accounts for at least 4 slots difference. I agree the math is kinda complicated, or at least remembering what you got and when is difficult. 26 really does sound like a reasonable number to me. How many were you expecting to have? -
I'm honestly not sure what you're saying with that last sentence there.
If you server had 36 character slots unlocked, then you'd get 36 - 12 + 2 + other vet reward slots.
If you had 24 slots you purchased but spent some on other servers, those slots also won't be available on this sever. Spent slots only work for premium on the server they were spent on.
And the servers now can have a total of 48 slots. So the fact that you had 36, I don't see how this is a magical number or why it matters. Or what the 8 to 12 transition has to do with it. Those weren't "extra slots" that you could spend, those were slots that everyone got. It looks like you have the correct amount of slots for a premium to me. -

Yes, but everyone calls him Mort for short.

...Need to make a Super Schamuper SG now...

Hmm, well all emails in-game that have any attachment MUST go to your global account (or another global account, if you are sending them to another player or a second account).
So I'd guess that the IOs would go to your account. However, that's not an account item, that's a regular email (so neither character nor account, they'd just show up under email). And all attachments are limited to 20 items total, so you won't get unlimited storage no matter what.
But I haven't actually tried stripping any Market IOs off a character and emailing them, so I don't know if there's any additional wrinkles involved (like, can Market IOs be emailed at all?). -
Quote:I appreciate all the new posts in this thread, buy my original question was answered by Snow back in September.
Chreeeeeeeeerist, didn't notice the necro. Why the heck post a three month old thread people?
OK, some of you Zombie masterminds out there may not be able to help yourselves but the rest of you shouldn't be digging up stuff in the graveyard like this. -
He's in another zone. When you enter via the queue, rather than a pre-formed league, you return to the zone you started in rather than the zone everyone else is in. That's the way the queue is supposed to work. Everyone enters the queue, you all team up, then you go back to where you were before the trial started. It's just that most folks pre-form leagues so many people don't understand that the queue will teleport you from any zone into a trial.
Believe it or not, zones besides RWZ or Pocket D do work.
Quote:While the queue requires all teammates be on the same instance, in my experience it doesn't care about league-mates.
So team one could be in RWZ and team 2 in Pocket D, and it will let them queue as a single league.
Huh, that's new information for me. Thanks for pointing that out. -
If you have an SG you should see her characters still listed in the SG roster, showing that those characters are still "there."
If none of the above helps, contact support. You can't petition in game if you are F2P, but you can use the regular support page to ask for assistance. Recovering an account is something they should be able to do. -
Quote:Hmm...lets see....a few strange things....they will be made to have two global character slots that they have to choose to unlock on either a character or on a server empty slot......
This one I don't think is correct. I think you got the two global slots if you applied the code before Freedom launched (was Freedom Issue 21? not sure). I think they stated that the global slots would no longer be given out with box codes after the launch of Freedom.
I could be wrong about all that. Just trying to let the OP know what they might or might not get. -
Never seen it "around here." Obviously I've seen it elsewhere. And it's not irony, it's just your inability to read plain English.
Quote:Based on your posts I must assume that you conduct yourself differently in game from that of your Forum persona. -
Quote:I asked in game and got the standard "Noob! L2Play" responses.
Yeah.... that is just not a standard response around here though. I've just never seen it happen. Try asking on the Help channel (type /hc, or click on the chat tab), folks there are generally good. It can be hard to manage a new player when you're also trying to run a league trial; I could see a frustrated leader being short with you.
But, no, I've never seen "learn to play" in game. -
First, you should talk to your leader about what to do if you are having problems.
If they ask you "Are you coming?" then they are asking you to go to the same zone as the rest of the group so they can start again. You have to be in the same zone if you are in a pre-formed team or league.
If you don't want to go to the same zone as everyone else, you can just ask the leader to open the trial (this is normally the case) then quit the team/league and quickly re-queue. As long as they don't fill the team or league (which they shouldn't if you've talked to them about it) or close the trail (which again they shouldn't if they're expecting you to re-queue) then you'll just enter the trial again like you did the first time.
I can't believe this is actually hard to find out in-game. It's not hard to say to your team "I'm not familiar with the LFG tool, what do I need to do?" Maybe there are some servers where other folks won't talk to you about stuff, but I haven't found them yet. I have a hard time believing that you're being kicked for no reason. More likely you were asked several times to do something (quit and re-queue, or come to zone) and you just ignored them. -
Sorry if that was abrupt, but I have a bubbler (my main, actually) and I know first hand how painful it is to get Defense values above 58% or so on just IOs. Darn near impossible.
-
Er, no. Defense is Schedule B, so it maxes out around 56% bonus or so, not 95% like most other things. You can just about get 1.5 times the base value, or about an extra 1.1% in this case.
That's ignoring any Incarnate powers and boosts. -
I'd like to see them "grey out" an option rather than make the option disappear completely. I think that would be better UI design.
-
Mask Presence (Widows, Bane Spiders) appears to suppress and come back as it should.
And again, no 2.25%, even twice, is not a lot. Unless you have a bucket of Defense already, taking Superior Invisibility for the defense seems pretty questionable. If you had 40% defense already, or even at least 20%, then yes, but until you get in that range small amounts of defense aren't going to help.
There might be other reasons to take Superior Invisibility. And the text of the power may be referring to its stealth as "defense," since it does tend to protect you from attacks. But going strictly on the stat labeled "Defense" 2.25% is about as small as it gets in this game. -
If your saved costume has a pack piece (wings, cape, back pack) then Magic Bolero won't be available, as the long skirt also counts as a "back piece."
