Question Regarding LFG

So I start out in LFG and join an Incarnate Trial after about 5 mins of waiting. We complete the trial and then someone says "One more time?" or "Let's do BAF". Then someone else will say "Ok I'll reque". Shortly after I will be kicked or they will ask "Gangland you coming?"

Here in lies my dilema. Even though I have been playing off and on since they came out with the game, I just recently started using the LFG System and unlike another MMO that offers you a little icon to teleport into the instance or in this case the Trial, I can't seem to find my way back into the next Trial. What do I need to do? Is there an icon that I am missing? Is there a tab that says "Click to teleport to instance"? I feel like a total ****** having to quit a smooth running team only to hop right back into the LFG Queue.

TLDR Version: How do I requeue once a LFG Trial is completed (So I join with the group I just ran with.)?

Best regards,
Gangland

If they're going to be running the next trial and you're going to be in a set group, people will usually form outside the LFG tool, where the leader will queue everyone as a group.

Otherwise, if they're not locking the league, etc. just go into LFG, pick the trial and hit enter queue - which doesn't seem to do much any more, because everyone preforms teams.

If you've only played an AT once (one set combo) and "hate" it - don't give up. Roll a different combo. It may just be those sets not clicking for you.

You should get the dialog box up again asking you to queue (or decline) once the league leader has queued the league up, but I've seen people saying that it can be bugged and not show up for some people.

First, you should talk to your leader about what to do if you are having problems.

If they ask you "Are you coming?" then they are asking you to go to the same zone as the rest of the group so they can start again. You have to be in the same zone if you are in a pre-formed team or league.

If you don't want to go to the same zone as everyone else, you can just ask the leader to open the trial (this is normally the case) then quit the team/league and quickly re-queue. As long as they don't fill the team or league (which they shouldn't if you've talked to them about it) or close the trail (which again they shouldn't if they're expecting you to re-queue) then you'll just enter the trial again like you did the first time.

I can't believe this is actually hard to find out in-game. It's not hard to say to your team "I'm not familiar with the LFG tool, what do I need to do?" Maybe there are some servers where other folks won't talk to you about stuff, but I haven't found them yet. I have a hard time believing that you're being kicked for no reason. More likely you were asked several times to do something (quit and re-queue, or come to zone) and you just ignored them.

Well as I stated I just recently came back. I have done the LFG thing a total of 4 times. 2 times I was kicked shortly after they asked "Gangland you coming?" to which I replied that I do not know how to get back. The other 2 times I just quit and requeued. I asked in game and got the standard "Noob! L2Play" responses. That is why I asked here. So your assumptions of me ignoring them are incorrect. I could honestly care less what you find a hard time believing, your experience and mine differ. Thanks for your input though.

Best regards,

Yeah.... that is just not a standard response around here though. I've just never seen it happen. Try asking on the Help channel (type /hc, or click on the chat tab), folks there are generally good. It can be hard to manage a new player when you're also trying to run a league trial; I could see a frustrated leader being short with you.

But, no, I've never seen "learn to play" in game.

Never seen it, yet you know how to spell it out... oh the ironies. I could totally understand if I was wasting the leaders time for like 10mins or something, but the kicks came in the time it took me to type that I did not know what to do. Again, I was not complaining about the kicks, it was probably warranted, especially if I was holding the group up. I just felt it was better to come here because in game people are usually there to play, not provide player support for the uninformed.

Based on your posts I must assume that you conduct yourself differently in game from that of your Forum persona.

I think I understand why you're confused.

If you've just completed a trial, you're already a part of a league, in which case if the league is going to do another trial directly afterward, the leader goes into the LFG and queues up the trial. You don't have to do anything until a window pops up with the Enter button. If there are available spots on your league and it's an open league, there will be a 90 second wait time until the pop up window appears. After everyone has clicked Enter (or time runs out) everyone is automatically teleported into the next instance. My guess is when the leader asked if you were coming, they probably meant coming to the zone. If you try to queue a trial with people out of zone it'll give you an error message saying that all players must be in zone to start.

I can't say for sure if that's what they meant but that's my best guess.

Never seen it "around here." Obviously I've seen it elsewhere. And it's not irony, it's just your inability to read plain English.

Based on your posts, I assume yours is exactly the same. Attitude will get you attitude. Something to think about.

While the queue requires all teammates be on the same instance, in my experience it doesn't care about league-mates.

So team one could be in RWZ and team 2 in Pocket D, and it will let them queue as a single league.

I was about to say the same thing. The game doesn't really let players know about this. IMO, I hate having to be in the same zone. Hopefully in the future we will be able to queue from in missions and be different zones than other league members.

I am confused, where are you that you have to get back from?
Still in the last mission, in another zone, where, specifically are you?

He's in another zone. When you enter via the queue, rather than a pre-formed league, you return to the zone you started in rather than the zone everyone else is in. That's the way the queue is supposed to work. Everyone enters the queue, you all team up, then you go back to where you were before the trial started. It's just that most folks pre-form leagues so many people don't understand that the queue will teleport you from any zone into a trial.

Believe it or not, zones besides RWZ or Pocket D do work.

Huh, that's new information for me. Thanks for pointing that out.

The devs want this too.

IMHO, the fact that to get into an ITrial you generally need to go to the zone where the leader is forming up pretty much negates the whole purpose of the LFG system. I didn't expect this with my first experience with the queue and the league system, so I didn't bother going to the zone where the leader was either and nobody said anything to me, just assuming I knew to do so. Then the leader said to come to PD... and finally I had to ask what PD was because Pocket D never occured to me and the location of leaguemates doesn't display so I didn't even know everyone else was in the same zone but me.

I gotta make pain. I gotta make things right. I gotta stop what's comin'. 'Least I gotta try.

to the OP - I will try to answer in simple terms how this system works as you may not have discovered it yet doing these trials.

From what you are saying, you are queuing for these trials while not on a team or a league and you end up joining a league after waiting a short time to get into the trial. If that is correct, I assume you are then having difficulty getting in on the next trial that particular league may be running. If that is also correct, it is most likely because once you are already in a league, the leader can not queue up the next trial because you are not in the same zone as the other parties in your team. When a group is formed before beginning a trial, none of the members (yourself included) should be using the LFG feature. The leader will use that button and queue in for the entire team where you will be prompted yes or no to join the event.

What my suggestion is: Find out where the general meeting place on your server where most people form these trials. For example, on Freedom they are typically formed in pocket D. On Champion, they are formed in RWZ in the vanguard base (I don't know about other servers). From there, you will typically seen in broadcast or a player made trial channel (that you may/may not be in) that XYZ is forming a Lambda, Baf etc. You then tell them you are interested, and they will invite you the league. When the team is full the leader will queue everyone.

I find this to be the easiest way to get on a trial team, because when you use the LFG tab, you can't do other missions or task forces while waiting to queue in.

With any luck, fixes to the somewhat borked LFG tool are soon on their way.

To the OP: Until that time, it's as others have said, after an iTrial, you'll need to head to the same zone as they other folks so the leader can queue up for the next one as a preformed group.

Also, very sorry you got static for asking a very legitimate question in a perfectly reasonable manner. I'm a little surprised, since the forums here aren't usually quite that trollish. Chalk it up as a bad day, or misunderstanding.

So, welcome back. Hope you'll stick around.

No luck required - the I22 beta currently contains an LFG tool that will allow you to remain in queue while doing instanced missions - once that goes live, the hope is that pre-formed leagues will be a little bit less necessary than they are now

Wow. Gameboy was in fact giving you good information in his posts and trying to help you. Then you turned all snarky on him. If that's the way you act in game then it's not surprising that you have trouble getting help.

Not only that, but "L2Play, n00b" isn't hard to figure out.
